Your video is so helpful! Been dealing with this 6 months.. will tear into the headliner tomorrow but now I understand some basics about what to look for!
D.A.D, You magnificent bastard! That was EXACTLY the problem in my 2019 F350. Note to next guy: Pop the sunvisor attachment cover with your finger tips, 7mm bolt to remove. Had to fish connector out from headliner through attachment hole with my finger(it SEEMED like it was held inside but it was just stubborn). Uncovered connector and disconnected.. DOME LIGHTS AND SUNROOF HAVE RETURNED! Fixing visibly damaged wires shortly. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Sent you $10!!
Thank you for taking the time to do this video is was really helpful. I Recently purchased a 2019 f250 and I was having the exact same issue I had checked the fuses and everything was good so i decided to check for crimped wires like you showed in your video turned out to be a short on the hood light seems like the wire was smashed between the hood causing the issue. So I repaired the wires and now everything works again. Liked and subscribed!
Nice find, most of the time the problem is still up above the headliner but due to the sun visor wire breaking due to the twisting of the sunvisor which is what you were going in to look for. Other issues in that area are due to water intrusion from a leaking window seal or sunroof drain clogged and some connectors up there or in the A-Pillar for the curtain airbags get green corrosion and add extra resistance making problems up there. Cheers.
I HAVE THE SAME CONCERN, 2016 F150, REPLACED OVERHEAD CONSOLE AND BCM PROBLEM STIL LTHERE, NOW I HAVE TO CHECK THE VANITY CIRCUIT AND ALSO GROUND 301, OR 306 I NEED TO GO BACK IN THE VIDEO TO COMFIRM. BUT NICE FINDING.
