Burns 11, Zones of a burn

Zones of a burn, if you can maintain local perfusion by good systemic managment you will reduce the final size of a burn. If you can prevent local and systemic infection you will reduce the final size of a burn. Also reduce local oedema and feed you patient well. Do these things and the final area of burn necrosis will be mimimised, its up to you. (Mr. Douglas Jackson, 1947).
