Got mine a few days ago. The DNP800NE is a good sounding streamer but the DNP2000 is big step up in connectivity and sound quality. DNP2000 + PMA2500 + M.A. Gold 200’s make for a very enjoyable listening.

I’ve purchased the Denon 1700ne Integrated Amp and the 1700 CD player. This DNP 2000 Streamer will be my next purchase. I’m liking the Denon sound . I could go for feeling a touch more warmth but the Denon sound is almost like a live show sound. I video live music I get the feeling they are going for . Live with a touch of softness. Stays right on the edge almost harsh. This could be my JBL studio monitors also .
... I really wish it included a cd player too like the marantz nd8006. ...Id even pay a bit more, just to have the cd player + streamer + dac in a single unified component.
Question: on the infosheet, it says "Dac Master Clock Design: Yes (Does not support network playback)". What does that mean for the streamer's sound quality with network playing/streaming? Is the master clock not needed for network?

Already on the waiting list to receive my 2000NE
Some additional functions will be nice, like Tidal connect or Tidal MQA as upgrade option will nice in future .
Tidal will soon offer their music in hi-res lossless flac, so no issue there.

Audio player is the best option for high quality sound. Stereo amplifier with digital section is degradation in sound quality.
