    To the point without excessive use of flowery speech. Some would say it is "dry" or "boring". Sometimes just getting the facts is the way to go. Thanks for the reviews, Hans!

      Just to let you know I bought one following your review. I paid £599 (about €700) for "B Stock". It was cheaper because the box had been opened but it is in perfect condition and sounds very good!

    Thank you Hans for your detailed and honest review. I have this streamer for a week now (update the dnp800ne). For me it filled in exactly what I missed. In all ranges it’s sounds so much better and more alive (3D). I believe there will be better in the market but I am really happy with it in combination with my pma2500ne and MA Gold floorspeakers. Keep up the good work! Brgds, Peter

    Best review I've seen so far on this streamer. As much as I would like to hold out for it I'm thinking my system (B&W 686 S2's & Rotel RA1570) may not be resolving enough to hear a difference over the Bluesound Node n130 or X for half or less than half the price.

    Excellent review as always. I also saw the review of the Eversolo DMP-A6. Admittedly different value proposition given the visual emphasis of the Eversolo and the price points. I am obviously very green when it comes to streamers and DACs. 😅 Which device has the greatest impact on sound? I have a very modest system of Polk r200s, double Polk PSW111 subs into a Denon PMA800ne amp, a decent cd player and turntable. Where do I go next?

    • @TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel
      @TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you compare the two reviews I made, you will see that there are clear differences in user interface and other features. At the end of the Sound Quality I clearly state In what reference setup I think it fits. That is the judgement you want.

      a bit late to your question but nevertheless. if you are looking to significantly upgrade your sound for the given sum you are looking at the wrong end. Streamers and dacs are merely seasonings. To significantly improve sound look at amps and speakers and clean power suppllies. I would first go with a good amp. but they don't come cheap. Even modestly priced speakers will do wonders with really good and sonicaly comapatible amp. For example look into musical fidelity a1 re-release of 80s design for 1500 pounds. More sound you cannot buy for the money.

    Your thoughts if any on the Sony hap-z1es or the S1 ? I have to make a decision. I have marantz and denon equipment through my house which makes getting a streamer tough. Naturally you’d think DNP2000 but I just don’t have all the information I need yet. Eying the Sony to be honest and the problem is since they are discontinued they are pricey and hard to get. Anything you can add would be appreciated and if not, no worries. I enjoy your videos btw. Thx !

    Hello, I am interested in purchasing this streamer .
    I would like to know if it is possible to connect two integrated amplifiers through the RCA plugs.
    1st. Via "fixed" RCA.
    2nd. Via "Variable" RCA set to fixed (with minimum output level volume)?
    Thank you in advance for your follow-up and happy new year.

    I have a Marantz SR5013 and find the network capabilities to lacking. Like when listening to a radion station via HEOS/tunein it will allways choose the stream with the lowest bitrate. I can set it to a higher bitrate but the app wont remember that, so I have to change the stream every time over and over again. HEOS also has maximum of 100 songs when creating a playlist. That's enough to listen to some albums, but not if I want make a list for an entire evening.
    So I would like to know if this €1500,- streamer does handle this better or is the HEOS app just as limited as on my SR5013?

    • @TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel
      @TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can't comment on the SR5013 since I have not reviewed it. But I know that my brother in law, who works in IT, owns one and has no problems. I also didn't have any problems with the DNP-2000NE. It streamed flawlessly.

    • @operius2385
      @operius2385 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel Well the sr5013 works here too. But the streaming part is just not very user friendly and lacking some features. So I wonder if this DNP-2000 is it any better since it is controlled with the same HEOS app that I also use on my sr5013? PS: Thank you for the video, and replying!

      @@operius2385 HEOS has the identical features, if I use it with my DENON AVR 1600 or with your SR 5013. It is the same lousy software on any Marantz or Denon Product. And the developers do not react on any complaints. So I will never buy a DENON or Marantz any more. For everyday use the software is most important- and HEOS sucks!

    I'm tempted to sell my denafrips ares ii for this denon. just trying to figure out if the quad mono dac is a step up in resolution vs the r2r. I currently use the ares ii to feed my pma1700ne and sony ta-a1es

      Just my two cents but keep the Denafrips as your dac of choice. As far as the internals go, I am sure it is well designed and built. But Heos is not at all a worthy platform. So many streamers out there that will pair nicely with the Ares dac you got.
