- Hi! Today we're analyzing a scene together so that you guys can learn Norwegian and see how you can learn new words on your own as well, because you can also do the work that I do here at home !! That's something that I did all the time when I started learning Norwegian, it's really fun and motivating, and the words are a lot easier to remember when you learnt them in a specific context! I really hope that it's gonna help you, don't hesitate to take notes of the notions that you find interesting:)
The series: Julestorm (on Netflix)
I absolutely loved this style and format. Please do more! I appreciate all the effort you put into this.
i just want to let you know that ur "how i learned norweigan" video is super, duper helpful! i'm a fluent german and english speaker, among other languages, and i've been learning danish using your tips. i feel like in a month i've made much more progress than my first six months of learning french at school! i'm reading harry potter on my kindle, and although i only understand circa 10-40% (depending on how well i remember the english version or how similar the danish words are to german), i'm trying to push through and read the whole book. the kindle is really helpful because i can translate specific words/sentences too :) reading adult novels in english, even if i didn't understand them at a young age, is how i've been consistently scoring in the 99th percentile of americans during all english tests i have taken in my life!
You r such a treasure. Thank u so much for uploading videos!! U r so engaging too.
Everything is so perfectly explained! I am extremely impressed and excited to learn new things. I am going to rewatch the video and take notes. Tusen takk for din hjelp Ilys!
This channel is a life saver and is incredibly useful in helping me to learn Norwegian. Please keep making these, thank you so much.
I don't even curious about Norwegian in particular. But it's always nice to see people passionate about things. Maybe I'll start learning Norwegian some day, who knows ^^
@@nexypl I'm a winter person. I would most likely be very pleasant to live there ^^
Thank you! This format is extremely helpful. Usually, I simply accept not understanding every utterance in films. Disecting and analysing it in this way is super helpful as it draws my attention to gaps and misconceptions I usually brush over subconsciously.
I love the pace and the bilingual subtitles. Your explanations help me a lot. Thank you for the video :)
you are litterally a sunshine and I love watching your videos even though I don't understand anything and needs to read the captions...
This was SO helpful wow! The grammar lessons are so needed especially learning about exceptions.
Please do more of these!! My boyfriend and I are planning to move to Bergen next year so I've recently started to learn the language and find your videos super engaging
Please more this format. It's brilliant!
Beautiful knit jumper

Thank you a lot❤, it's been a new style of learning vocabs, grammer and phrases all together at once, I liked it 🌹
I appreciate the form that you teach Norwegian, I’ve been trying find somebody that use series to teach.. you’re amazing!! (I from brasil and I not fluent in English so.. is hard to learn Norwegian butt I have a dream kkkkk) 💚🇧🇷
(See what I did...😉)
I learned Swedish for over a year and have recently started Norwegian, but sometimes it is hard to 'get' the differences. Very helpful to have material that discusses the basics in detail and in a fun way. Thanks.
👍
Hei Ilys.
This was amazing!! Thank you so much!
Wonderful! I was waiting to hear your explanation of 'jo'. Now it makes sense to me! Thank you.
One English point: I like neither...nor; I don't like either...or.... Small detail. I love your vids. Tusen tak! Merci beaucoup!
= ‘.., you know’. / ‘.., right?‘ Adverb element to mobilise the other person’s understanding. Just put somewhere in the sentence.
While I do understand a fair amount of Norwegian, I love the bilinngual subtitles. Very helpful! I look forward to future postings.

Could you make a video analysing Skam scenes please??
Amazing thank you!
It was brilliant ❤
Tusen takk for alt hva du gjør. 🇳🇴
Just great content ❤
Hi! Just wanted to say how much I love your content! I discovered your work recently and you've quickly become my favourite Norwegian blogger and a huge source of motivation. Your videos are so engaging and I learn so much from them. Thank you for everything you do! Please keep it up!
If you add dialects it becomes abit more complicated😆. I speak a mix of Brønnøy and Hammerfest(Nordlenning/Finnmarking) For me trying to immitate Oslo (Østlending) It sounds awful, and it becomes slow gotta think hard not to mess up 😝
Hi, Ilys! I really liked your video about how did you learn Norwegian. It gave me a lot of new insights to apply to my Ianguage learning strategies. Have ever tried to read any author from Norwegian literature, like Ibsen or Hamsun? Also, can you speak Nynorsk? Cheers!
Great video! Thanks :)
Thank you Ilys
So, I viewed your video on how you taught yourself a language and I discovered almost all the same things you did and the importance of writing down the language.
The one thing that I believe is just as important, is that everything should be written down as neatly and organized as is possible to achieve. This may require a person with messy handwriting ability, to make a priority with how they write the shapes of each individual letter, to ensure it matches the style and appearance that the target culture uses.
I honestly believe, that all education should start with language. I think that the educators should first achieve familiarity with the language, without too many rules. Periods, commas, and capitalization should be the maximum, until the students are reading proficiently and won't be distracted by seemingly crazy rules of, "...this before this, except after this...."
While you are reading books, please invest in reading New Testament, at least once.
Take care and be blessed always.
Jeg lærer alltid så mye!
how do you study norwegian?
Tusen hjertelig takk 🥹❤️
This video is such high quality content. Please don't stop making these videos
Super good
You are gorgeous :) THX it realy helps in Norsk:)
❤
It's been a long time, make a new video please ❤
Hei.
Your language look like when someone mix Spanish and dutch
blikk ikke blink
Takk skal du ha, du er fantastisk! 😊
