My 1st time with a 2CV engine. Very interesting. Cars I've always thought a bit boring, but the 2CV is in effect a 4 wheeled motorcycle... Looking forward to the rest. Enjoyable, instructive stuff. 10/10.

Cheers Bill. It is surprising how many motorcyclists have had 2cvs over the years.

I bought soft oil liners to replace those nasty rusty ones.

I had lucky with those oil cooler bolts, mine weren't very tight.

Hi Carlos, you were lucky, they tend to seize up regularly or at east they do here in the cold, wet UK. Thanks again for watching!

When using a heat gun to heat the piston, how long does it actually take? In the video it's cut to about 2 seconds, but in real life would it be 30 seconds or 10 minutes? TIA

Hi John, I have never really timed it, but it is a fairly quick process, probably about 30 to 45 seconds. The alloy heats up quickly and a quick push with a screwdriver will let you know. Gudgeon pin fit varies as well, this set was quite tight but I have had after market bits where the fit is far looser. Thanks for watching!
