What a great location for an ambiance! You can only think what life at Addermire was before it got seized by the government. Although it is no longer a resort for the rich, the rooms that patients would have (as seen in the video) are hardly your standard hospital arrangement. Good furniture and massive paintings would probably make it feel like a hotel room during a vacation, even as the doctors would try to pick your brain at the same time. Lovely video!
I love peace and quiet very much but in this place it can be foreboding and nerve racking I've been here for what seems an eternity, I'm supposed to be getting away from the city and the noise of civilization but here it is quite the opposite and I'm in this modest size room with a bed, a chair and a tv set but nothing on but talk shows and soap operas and I have a radio and I get a couple of good stations of old rock and roll music, the attendants bring me three meals a day and it's not like I'm a prisoner here I'm a patient trying to be free of stress and anxiety and I'm here for treatment with medication, therapy, and group sessions and I can come and go anytime I want and I occasionally take a walk around the area and just think, I've been here for 3 months actually and I'm going to be here for a total of 6 months altogether and I have 3 to go in the daytime it's the regular meal times, starting with breakfast, then group sessions, then therapy sessions, then a walk around the area then, lunch, then watching tv for awhile then supper and afterwards go to bed but at night when everything is turned off and you are lying in bed listening to the sounds coming from the countryside and listening to the wind howling through the desert and somewhere out there is a town and while I can't hear anything from it I can see the lights at night shining and the air coming across the land and you can hear all sorts of things, It was drizzling rain outside for awhile and some thunder and lightning but it's stopped and as I lay here dozing off and I hear the patients from the other rooms already asleep and snoring very loudly echoing through the building but I stay awake longer just listening to the night sounds and a night attendant checking in on everyone and I notice that the moon is out tonight and shining into my room and I start to get sleepy so before I go to sleep I just want to say Good Night, God Bless and Thanks.
