but yugioh has Masterduel, which online games and tournaments can be played, and it works very well. Webcam events for TCG's is just not the right way to play now, especially with all the resources these companies have to make proper clients to play the game.
@@isaacthomas339You clearly aren't a yugioh player if you think there's no cheater in master duel. BWP has been making hand reveal/deck stacking clients since 2017 and he still going. And his client also attracts f2p players because you can skip the gem grind with his cheat client.
In yugioh it's an issue because people won't call a player out. They won't speak up for themselves. They won't ask questions or for a replay of a move. That and they are terrified of calling a judge outside of asking about a ruling.
One of my big issues at this point in time, is how big the game has blown up to be and how badly it's receiving little to none support. The online games are just abandoned and judges can do very little about webcam cheating. The banlist exists only as a checkbox. I enjoy the game, and even though I suck at the game big time and my closest to success is 2nd at locals I still want it to get supported and taken better care of by it's developers.
kekfila is on something with that take. You can’t prevent cheating. And judges should be banning these players. The rules are written as they are and aren’t being utilized properly.
But you can prevent it with an Online App. MTG has Arena, YGO has Masterduel, Pokémon has Live. Like with these online programs you simply cant cheat. Due to prizing and sealed product value one piece would definitely be fine. Also the game actually requires skill and bad players get punished which is something not all games have. I’m not a fun of using the client as it kills the incentive of buying cards and owing cards physically. Putting micro transactions on digital cards is also so bad. I also play better when I can hold my cards physically I prefer it that way.
I think having the option of online being on the SIM but they better fix the shuffling first because I don't feel that it is even random (I understand random is not equally distributed). It feels like it clumps cards way too often for it to not be some sort of error.
How do you prove your opp is cheating when you are playing offline and nobody is filming you?! I had times where I called a judge and it wasn't resolved. Opp lies and says it didn't happen and so on.
