The easiest way to stop most of the cheating in my opinion is to have bandi get behind the guy running the sym. Higher him get a team behind him work out bugs and then use the sym for online tournaments.
That would be nice but remember, bandai is a game industry wich need's to make money. If people just play on the online client wich has EVERY CARD for free then where do they make their money? No need to buy any actual products since you can get insane prizing by playing with cards you paid nothing for.

The one time I got cheated in a tournament was by a nami player that drew 2 cards in their draw phase and they denied the claim. I hit them with a banish and after they took they returned the card saying they didn't know about the banish and countered out.
Na she should stay Banned, she actually has a huge ego, She declared her self to be the best Blue Nami player in the world (not in Oceanic), and durng that time, there was another player that made to top16 in regionals with Blue nami (whilst she didnt). From what i have heard, she also cheats in local games. Besides adding a card in the trash, in locals, she has hide her Don under trash, making it look like there is Zero Don active, and when people swing, she reviews and "looks" for that "missing" don. Even if its not intentional, many people who has played with her in locals, says she cheats in those. Imagine being that low to just cheat in locals.

Maybe some players would be upset at the prospect of buying the same card twice, or whatever, but an alt art Perona, or whatever would work just as well as the 'regular' one and decks really wouldn't be that expensive.

So far I heard she added cards from trash to hand , hide her active don and something about a giveaway for reaching x amount of subs/follows , the winner said they never received the prize and that she ghosted him . Necro something was the name if I remember correctly.
But I agree the sim would solve most issues except account swapping .or like someone playing in your place unless they add face cams to the simulator And the only people against it are low key sus lol . Only negative I can see is you won't be able to show off your high rarity deck or leader .

As much as I wanna say that we should give cheaters a second shot, as someone who followed the MTG pro scene for a bit, a lot of cheaters tend to cheat again after their grace period.
Nami is a very difficult deck to play. I do not condone cheating at all. This is unfortunate because i myself have played nami online and players are always suspicious of me playing assuming I am a cheater even before I have done anything. This situation makes me upset because other players cheat and players that play fair are punished because of the stupidity of other cheaters. Bandai invoke zero tolerance ban all cheaters permanently as the issue of cheating seems to be on a rise so hopefully Bandai steps up quickly to deal with players that wish to ruin this game with their dishonesty.
unfortunately, bandai tcg's are kinda susceptible to pulling in cheaters with how expensive the price cards tend to be the same happened in the past in the digimon tcg with the darkknigtmon deck, a lot of people started to cheat while using the deck in online tournaments (the deck was nowhere near competitive level) in my opinion, saying that someone should leave the game because thy cheated once is a bit harsh, yes they deserve their punishment, if they want to leave the game for good, that's their decision, but straight up saying that they don't have any place in the game at all is a bit too hostile for my taste
What if anyone who tops a webcam event is required to submit recordings of their games for review? That would help us players not have to constantly worry about watching our opponents so closely that we cant focus on the game

Disappointed cause online tournaments are now my main way to actually play but looking at how easy it is to cheat has put me off at the moment. Not sure if the harassment it true or not but I will say that my little experience with one piece players, I wouldn’t put it past them that they would harass people. One piece players are some of the most toxic people I have had the displeasure of meeting.

The main idea behind a TCG (trading CARD game) is the cards. It’s supposed to be about collecting the cards and battling with what you have. The sim is just a place to practice.
A lot of people don't think that using a die to keep track of your opponents hand is against the rules due to the "No notetaking" clause. But the rules do allow you to use supplementary items to keep track of public knowledge, which hand size is. I always recommend players to use a D20 to keep track of the opponents hand size. Ask how many cards in hand after they draw for turn, when they end their turn, when they take life, before each of your swings, and if they happen to draw any cards. Yes, it may annoy your opponent at some point, but if your D20 doesn't match what your opponent says, QUESTION IT. Maybe you failed to increase or decrease the die to one of your opponents actions, but that is why you can go back and track to make sure that nothing funny happened.
Hi @MoreThatMillGuy regarding the other cheating allegation from the week prior have a screenshot of her admitting to it. She cheated against my friend and right before the regionals yesterday she was trying to apologise to him. So yes she was already not liked in the Australia scene because that cheating issue was already confirmed.
The thing is that webcam tournaments arent fullproof yes but as someone who lives in croatia and can only go to locals tournaments like these are basiclly the only big tournaments i can go. But cheating definetlly needs to stop
As a Nami player there is no reason to ever re-arrange the trash pile, non-Nami players should see that as a red flag. Edit: Some of the replies make some pretty solid cases for re-arranging the trash pile as a Nami player.
Sometimes I put all the trigger cards I have on top of the trash so I can guesstimate what’s in my life and deck still. Maybe other people don’t but I always make it very clear to my opponent and keep my hand super far away.
@@ndnkashyap That's fair, I personally don't mind flipping through the whole pile to check but I get that's more convenient. As you said as long you explain to your opponent what you are doing then it's totally fine.
I'd disagree. Nami is the one deck where it's very helpful to rearrange the trash. If you stack all of the same cards together and know your decklist like the back of your hand, then when you're down to 10ish cards in deck, you can know exactly what they are / what your life cards are. Helps you plan out the final turn or two.

Calling for webcam tourneys to stop because of the cheaters doesn't make any sense tho. If not for the webcam tourneys being recorded these cheaters wouldn't get caught. There are probably more cheaters in offline tourneys, they are just not being recorded so they are getting away with it. These particular cheater has been accused of cheating before if i am right but only were proven to be a cheater because it has been recorded.

I've never seen the appeal of webcam matches for this very reason. We're playing in matches trying to perform to the best of our ability AND on top of that we have to watch for cheating from our opponent. Judges might miss the cheat. It's too much. Playing devil's advocate, that Mochi account was a burner account. It was a brand new account that was then deleted when it had accusations of being a burner account. It reads like one of those "This is so and so's mom, and I just want to tell you that so and so is super sad". Regardless of the validity though, there shouldn't be any hate or bullying done to the cheater. I do wish that she had made a statement and apologized to the community instead of trying to turn herself into the victim.

I’ve never understood why online tournaments aren’t ran with the sim. Wouldn’t cheating be harder on it?
The sim can bug, and that would ruin the whole game if it happened.
