What this deck could need are better mid-game tools and characters that make an impact on board. Like for example, a 5 cost that can freeze or bottom deck characters. Or just make an actually good 10c 12k yonko buggy. I swear, the deck would have been miles better if buggy said: "(On Play): if you control 5 {cross guild} type characters, bottom deck something

Had a tournament yesterday, played against Nami with Katakuri. Played 3 BMs back to back to back

Pudding leader is designed to start spamming out Big Mom by turn four. The deck isn't amazing and has plenty of weaknesses, it happens to be good against you because it can skirt by without attacking for a few turns while still burning your life. It's playing as intended. You can argue it isn't fun to play against if you want, but it's certainly not a problem.

The Reiju probably didn't use the blocker chopper and tried to empty their hand to below 5 in order to be able to draw 3 cards using leader + 4c reiju. Makes a lot of sense in my opinion

There r so many bad desgined cards atm that me nd my friends already left the game, the one piece's local here is clearly dead, some cards like: blue doffy getting a 5k- 6k power minion (sometimes even two) while hitting 7k for free since start of the game, 8c moria combos, 9c zoro swinging 3 times for just 3 don, bonney being able to rest even 10-8 cost characters for literally just a single don, porche ultra boosting reiju (which was one of the only downsides of her, playing strong minions but not filling the board too fast) nd 1c animal drum event making any rush down red deck becomin a killing machine (again)

not saying it’s unfavored, but I don’t think nami is favored against BB either. the 10cost BB is not really the problem for nami since a good nami player can just hold until the effect wore off. but the key is that blackhole every turn from early game would stop the draws from onplay like kaya and the blocker (imagine negating 8 draws from 4 kaya). also all these BB players made some questionable decisions, not even exclusively for BB, but theres no reason to hit nami with low numbers since it only helps nami counter and mill. they could’ve build their board while milling with stage and leader effect to pump burgess and put some big hits making sure that every hits matter, either to burn nami’s life or hand, instead of hitting nami with 5k-7k. at the end of the day, imo it’s a balanced matchup that comes down to whether the BB could make the right decision or not. nice gameplay as always bruh!

I have been playing BB on the sim a ton and am absolutely loving it. That deck has tons of draw power and is able to be played differently depending on the matchups. With cards like Jesus and Catarina you can play very agro or you can play very slow if the deck you’re against has a lot of on play cards. This is the only deck I have played where I was comfortable with having 0 cards in my hand.

I just had a match on the sim, I was Blackbeard playing against Nami, and that was an incredibly easy match. I used blackhole every single turn and did nothing but swing heavy with my leader. I then got a 9 cost Kaido down then next turn got out my 10 drop bb. They did get down to 6 cards in their deck but I always felt like I came out ahead every turn.

The don X1 should have been on saka, actually considering it's wild colour combo, all its effects should be locked behind donx2 but whatever. Marco just doesn't feel as powerful but I'm still trying to learn it

Not like i wanna front the bb player in this vid, but i don't think the play is to always black hole nami tbh Also just some feedback for this vid: I know you said you were on a time crunch when recording this, so i get that you used the time to get some food in. But i, like many others probably aswell, really can't listen to bowl scraping and especially chewing asmr... so this was actually a difficult watch for me. Didn't help that you were quite distracted by your phone going off too. I don't wanna be that guy that tells you how you should record your videos, you may do as you please of course, but my feedback would be: don't record these if you don't really have time. I watched most of your other vids, and this seems like an outlier, so it's all good. But maybe this can be a consideration for you ❤

NOTE: I'm purposefully not playing the new OP09 1c Nami just to prove a point, 100% would be insane in this matchup

Have you considered testing the new 1 cost nami that lets you search top 5 for an event on attack and rhe event that has you discard 2 to mill 2 cards for the op09 meta?
