Corporations love carbs cause they can process, market and package it in a million difference products. Can't do the same with proteins and fats. Time for all to take their health into their own hands.

There is more profit to be made with processed food than foods in their natural forms. That's why even fake oil s(such as corn oil is now expensive. Just like water is now expensive. They have better control on mass production and why they make it harder (with the help of our corrupt politicians) for smaller food business to compete with them.
International food market is even more brutal as for example most of Western Europe EU big Agro group of lobbyist, dump their unsold dairies or tomatoes (just one example of many) at a loss (like Walmart does to get rid of completion, and small moms&pops businesses) into countries in Africa and by doing so, destroying local food businesses, especially small ones.

Stearic acid (a saturated fat found in high levels in beef) increases your metabolism by stimulating new mitochondrial growth. When you fast, you quickly burn up your less dense fat molecules and start burning saturated fats and increasing mitochondria! Some benefits of doing occasional extended fasting: High blood pressure is lowered to normal levels very quickly while fasting. Fibrosis/scarring is reversed over time, including in the heart and lungs.
Fasting increases T cell production and regenerates the thymus. T cells are vital in fighting cancer, autoimmune disease and infections but as we age the thymus stops making as many of them. Fasting releases stem cells, which then can become new T cells. Fasting also releases growth hormone, which regenerates the thymus itself, which aids this process!
Fasting stimulates phagocytosis, the ingestion of bacteria, plaques and viruses by the immune system. This will also remove any spikes, whether natural or unnatural in origin!
Blood sugar and insulin are lowered when fasting, allowing white blood cells to move more freely throughout the body and do their job.
Vitamin D plasma levels are increased as fasting improves metabolic health, and vitamin D in turn increases autophagy.
Fasting restores your circadian rhythm to normal over time.
    Fasting increases nitric oxide release.
Fasting restores NAD+ to healthy levels.
Reflexes and short term memory are increased.
Fasts from 36-96 h increase metabolic rate due to norepinephrine release!
Telomeres are lengthened and fasting also increases anti-aging Yamanaka factors.
After 72 hours or more fasted, your body recycles up to 1/3 of all immune bodies, rejuvenating your entire immune system. This helps prevent the onset of new autoimmune conditions, which develop through a leaky gut and damaged immune system.
Fasting can help with MS, Depression, BPD, Autism and seizures.
Thymus is regenerated, which suppresses aging and renews the immune system. The thymus also plays a vital role in fighting cancer.
Weight loss from daily caloric restriction has 1/4 to 1/3 of the weight lost as lean tissue while many studies show fat loss from 36 h fasts without losing any lean tissue!
The obese will lose extra tissue like loose skin while fasting, but the skinny or frail will have increased growth hormone release than the obese, which helps to make more lean tissue and reduce frailness.
When you move out of MTOR your body shuts down the building blocks of the cell required for viruses to replicate.
What breaks a fast? Anything with protein or carbohydrates in it will break a fast. Most teas and herbs are OK. Most supplements and meds will either break ketosis directly or contain a filler that will. Many meds are dangerous to take while fasting.
Does fasting lower testosterone? No, it raises it when the fast is broken by increasing lutenizing hormone. Fasting also increases insulin sensitivity, which helps with muscle building.
Fasts of 36-96 will not affect short term female fertility or affect menstrual cycle. They also may increase long term fertility, especially in women with PCOS.
Fasting reduces pain and anxiety by stimulating the endocannabinoid system in a similar way to CBD oil.
One day of fasting can cut your leptin levels in half and gets your immune system working properly again! This reduces leptin resistance, which impairs immune function.
Stomach acid is reduced over time while fasting and can allow for the healing of treatment resistant ulcers. Some patients may need continued acid reduction medication while fasting.
Does the body preferentially prefer glucose as a fuel? No. Except for brief periods of very intense exercise, your body mainly burns fats in the form of free fatty acids. Your brain also prefers to burn ketones at a rate of around 2.5 to 1 when they are available in equal quantity to glucose.
Fasting stimulates the AMPK complex and activates autophagy. Autophagy (literally self eating) will cause cells to recycle damaged proteins and foreign matter such as viruses. It will can kill cancerous and senescent cells
Lowering insulin via fasting virtually eliminates chronic inflammation in the body.
It increases mitochondrial function and repairs mitichondrial DNA, leading to improved ATP production and oxygen efficiency. Increased mitochondrial function also has the added benefit of increasing your metabolism, fighting infection and cancer prevention!
Fasting releases BDNF and NGF in the blood which stimulates new nerve and brain cell growth. This can help a great deal with diseases like MS, peripheral neuropathy and Alzheimers.
When not in ketosis, the brain can only burn carbohydrate, which produces a great deal of damaging ROS the brain has to deal with.
Fasting also increases telomere length, negating some of the effects of aging at a cellular level.
When you fast, this stimulates apoptosis in senescent or genetically damaged cells, destroying them. Senescent cells are responsible for many of the effects of aging and are a root cause of the development of cancer.
A fasting mimicking diet for 3-5 days in a row also provides many of the same benefits as water fasting. FMD usually has 200-800 calories, under 18 g of protein and extremely low carbs.
Exogenous ketones can aid with fasting, making it easier in healthy people and allowing some people with specific issues to fast in spite of them without worrying as much about hypoglycemia. They also help with dementia and many other issues even if you take them while not fasting!
Glycine and trimethylglycine can also be useful supplements while fasting that won't break ketosis and have many benefits.
Children, pregnant or nursing women should not fast for periods longer than 16 hours. People with pancreatic tumors or certain forms of hypoglycemia generally cannot fast at all. Type 1 diabetics can also fast but it is more complicated and should be approached with caution as it could lead to ketoacidosis. If you experience extreme symptoms of some kind, especially dizziness or tremors, then simply break the fast and seek advice.

So impressed with all of the information you presented above. I'll be 80 y/o in a few months. It has taken me forty years to accumulate the above info, bit by bit piece by piece. When the Standard American Diet, SAD, was presented to the public by the FDA I was more then skeptical. It was there for everyone to see that this "diet" was written by vegetarians, Big Pharma and the packaged food industry. Of that diet I can only ask, "Where's the Beef?"
For the past five years I've adhered to the Keto diet irrespective of everyone's thoughts, doctors included. I never bought into the "cholesterol scare" knowing full well that new cell membranes are produced with cholesterol. I have also incorporated a heavy weight lifting regimen with barbells and am presently on hormone replacement therapy, (yes, my testosterone was well below basement level, as you would guess).
I truly hope that someday in the near future the general public comes to the realization that neither the government nor your doctor are in charge of your health. As the saying goes in the timber lands, "Only you can prevent a forest fire", and Only you with the correct knowledge should be in charge of your health.

I had low level pain in my left knee for 20 years, I stopped jogging at age 35 because of it. I had thought the running for so many years was the cause. When I turned 55, I started a lo carb diet, mainly because my life long efforts to stay healthy were not working as well as my efforts. Lo carb slowly became mostly meat, because it is easier to eat lo carb when consuming animal foods. Several months after going lo carb, I noticed I did not have knee pain, I often noticed it first thing when i would wake up. Pain has been gone for a year and a half now. Also, I got a BP measurement device and measured my self for a year, BP dropped to 110/65, and I am now 58 years old. This way of eating is now my lifestyle.

As we know, veganism is NOT a diet. It is a philosophy of refraining from harming or exploiting sentient animals.

Pritikin didn't commit suicide because of his low fat diet. He suffered a relapse of his leukaemia at age 69.
"Controversy may also arise over whether the double-barrelled leukemia from which Pritikin suffered itself might have been at least partially responsible for the absence of fatty deposits in Pritikin’s cardiovascular system. Some cancer specialists, however, say such an effect seems unlikely based on current evidence.
The pathologist who performed the autopsy conceded such questions may arise, though he said he personally does not believe either the cancer or the therapy influenced Pritikin’s coronary health. And a cancer specialist who treated Pritikin for two years said he is convinced the nutritionist’s cardiac health “has nothing to do” with the cancer or its treatment.

Watch Dr. paul Mason explain cholesterol counts. Its about half hour video. The estimation of hdl and ldl cholesterol particles says nothing about the quality of the ldl. We need cholesterol which is carried in the lipoprotein and used by all cells of the body except blood. Lipoproteins carry cholesterol, fat soluble vitamins, hormones and deliver them around the body. LDL is not bad cholesterol, its a certain size of lipoprotein boat that carries and delivers these things. You will be happier when you see the video, knowledge takes the stress away.

Agreed. It’s just this apparently endless division of thought and science that bothers so many people. Both “tribes” citing their own “take” on the science..and never-the-twain-shall-meet. It’s rare to see a video with these opposing camps trying to have a chat on the subject..because they’re often so equally convinced that they know best. What we get instead are endless videos with people from the same “tribe” patting each other on the back, or preaching to the converted, instead of just trying to have a civilised conversation.@@hlw1306

According to leading cholesterol experts like Dr. Thomas Dayspring, high, non-physiological levels of ApoB lipoproteins can pass through the artery wall and initiate plaque formation and heart disease. Insulin resistance, pre-diabetes and diabetes can also cause heart disease but there is overwhelming evidence that ApoB alone can cause heart disease. If you have a high level of ApoB particles in your plasma, you are at risk for heart disease. And saturated fat should be reduced, because it will lead to cholesterol creation, but you can eat polyunsaturated fats like olive oil and omega-3 fish which are low in saturated fat

I would genuinely love to see Prof Noakes debate the issue of fats on youtube with some of the well known lipidologists. Such lipidologists cite numerous studies /trials showing that sat. fats raise ApoB. High levels of ApoB are said to increase the chances of cardiac events. I am sitting on the fence and would like to know which way to go to preserve my health and longevity. Interviews with non specialist youtubers just doesn't cut it . We need debate between the relevant qualified "experts". However , that is not the way of the youtube world it seems. Joe Public is left confused by the conflicting advice online. If anyone can direct me to such meaningful discussion please post the links. A good slanging match between "experts" would be more useful than one sided interviews.

The number 1 risk factor isn't even dietary. It's inhaled. But we completely forget. Today you will inhale 2000 gallons of air. The quality of that air will impact your vascular health.

If you follow these diet nuts too closely you'll also forget that smoking, drinking, drugs and even medication are going to knock ya off ya perch regardless of what you eat.

How does he know? Has he ever treated people with heart disease with success? He seems to be a decent man, but come on, Esselstyn or Ornish are way better source when it comes to heart disease with results to back up their suggestions. I personally don't follow esselstyn or ornish but what they say makes perfect sense and aligns with findings in populations with the lowest heart disease occurrence.. and yes, it has to do with cholesterol levels.. saturated fat increases "bad" cholesterol big time and saturated fat is not found in massive quantities in the wild unless one eats coconuts all day long.. that's not to say saturated fat guarantees heart disease as inflammation is probably more of a driver

    • @radoslavkristin9830

@@danejames7098 inflammation is probably more complicated than that. When it comes to saturated fat or fat in general, excess fat in combination with refined carbs causes insulin resistance. Just look up Kepmner rice diet... that also explains why populations eating 70 - 80 % from carbs are doing great.. obviously these populations have kept their insulin sensitivity by not eating junk food as junk food is a product of the western world. High fat has more risks than lower fat whole foods in my opinion, it works just seems less natural for us.. we are primates at the end of the day with multiple copies of amylase to digest starch, cant be coincidence. we are definitely not carnivores as some suggest, thats completely ridiculous

@@radoslavkristin9830 Agreed! Psychological state of mind does impact health. I observed many big differences during the time I lived there. A few things stood out. 1) Air quality was superior. Stand on the cliffs overlooking the ocean facing the trade winds. It's the cleanest air I have ever experienced. 2) Grandma and grandpa are out wind surfing while the younger crowd just ride regular surf boards. Locals are physically active outdoors year round. Even dining outdoors. 3) Obesity is much less in Hawaii. 4) Deep fried foods is not as abundant in Hawaii. It exists but not to the extent as in the southeastern States. 5) Catching a wiff of second hand smoke was rare in Hawaii as compared to the southeastern States. 6) Hawaii does not add fluoride to its water.

This isn’t true. Too much fat and all trans fats can’t be easily broken down in the gut or liver and builds up layers in the arteries over time.

@@cincin4515 Fair enough, agreed. Too much saturated fat leads to excess triglycerides. That ends up causing heart disease due to the hardening of the arteries. It can also lead to disease of the pancreas. This guy is just wrong in what he is saying. It’s proven to be the case.
