Great video. Good to see a brotha in this field. I'm starting as a P&C agent next Monday and have been looking for tips about the job itself and the state test. You did a good job helping with that bruh keep up the good work ✊🏾
Did you start out with your P&C or Life or both? I am currently studying through Kaplan in preparation for getting both my P&C and Life license(s). I’m excited! Thank you for your videos!!! You convinced me to join the insurance field at age 50! New path, new future. :)
Hi Donovan! I started out with all of my licenses. That is what State Farm required of me. Congrats! I'm so happy for you. Keep me updated of your progress.
Looning for emoloyment After numerous 20+ in Healthcare collections, I kept receiving jobs from a platform for Insurance Agent, Insurance Claims Adjuster and the like. After 18 months of debating I am ready to give it a shot. I understand it won't be easy but with hard consistent work and good lead source (s) I can breakthrough. And a challenge quest to be more outspoken and have conversation just flow seamlessly.
Hi Kenny! Thanks to you I'm now studying with Kaplan to take my Life and Health exam. I was wondering if you can do a video on Annuities and explain that a little?
Hopefully you'll see this, but I applied for a job to be an insurance agent only because I needed another dead end job to not sink. Everything seemed great so I applied thinking I'd never hear anything back, cause I'm only 20 with a small bit of experience in sales. Anyway, they called and asked me to come in for an interview. Some people say you make a good living and other people say you absolutely struggle. I was wondering, how long before I start making money, how long does the exam take, and do I have to go door to door? My last question is, I'm currently still juggling a few jobs and will have to stop everything and go extra broke to get into this field. Is it worth doing or is there a high chance I will fail?
Are you still a captive agent? I want to sell P&C I get too many tire kickers and people just completely procrastinating about getting life insurance. We all want to live its true but no one knows there time and its like the people Ive spoke to can't understand the risk they take of not getting insured immediately. Is p&c better?

No longer captive, I own an independent agency. P&C can be better because some products are mandated by the state. I recommend selling all products.

A little over 5 months
@@KennyJTVdo you recommend being captive first to get your feet wet?
@@joshacox3110 depends on your learning style. It definitely is a good way to start.
