Thanks for the video. Just walked my first Camino (Portuguese from Lisbon) in September and already thinking about my next, which will be in April / May next year. It’ll be the Norte or Frances so videos like yours will help shape my decision. Buen Camino!
Thank you so much. The Norte is beautiful but the first two weeks are very had. Have not walked the French yet. Plan to in a couple of years. Buen Camino.

Wow, what a fantastic journey! Going for my second Camino this summer and this will be very helpful to me. This first stage looking pretty demanding. Thank you! 🙏
The cafe you missed in the morning was on an alternate marked path from Hondarribia to the Sanctuary Guadalupe. 👍 sorry you missed it. It’s a long way without services to Pasaia 😉
Finally thinking about my next Camino! Looking forward to following your journey. Sorry if I missed it, but what time of year did you walk? I did the Frances in Sept/Oct but need to consider coastal weather. Thanks and Buen Camino! 👣
lovely video. i had breast cancer twenty years ago, had an operation but did decline the chemo and radiation just went to my chinese medicin doctor and let him needle me and took chinese herbs. since then i have not seen any doctor who uses western midicien nor taken any thin from the big satanic pharma industry and of course did not believe in the plandemic and was not jabbed. i am now over eighty and perfectly healthy no pains no problems at all. wish you all the. what you do now is the best remedy against illness. live your life happily and to not take naything from big pharma
Thanks for the nice video! Could you comment on the time of year? The video was posted in July, but the weather looks more like April or May, although you speak about summer holidays at one point. I've done three "del Norte" by bicycle, always in August. I plan to take my daughter and nieces on the "del Norte" on foot for a few stages around easter this year and am curious about what to expect.
I'm curious to know how you found the actual route from Iran to San Sabastian? I'm on the Camino del Norte right now, about 15 days in. I couldnt find ANY route markers from Irun so ended up walking on the road all the way. It was a disaster! Farmers fields, they were shouting at me. Angry dogs, crazy steep banks through stinging nettles, just an awful first day! 😂 All because I couldn't find the signs. But, 2 weeks in and there is still very very poor signage. Miles apart from the Frances, loved that one! Thanks for sharing your experiences, loved the video. 😊
The first day was odd. Lots of pavement, although I expected that, but no other pilgrims. I’d go through a village an no one said Buen Camino. At the end of the day I felt lost and discouraged. Thankfully, a woman did wish me Buen Camino as I left town the next day. I did get lost a few times. Watch my videos. Look out for the wild boars coming out of the corn fields!!!! It was a tough journey but so worth it in the end. Buen Camino.
Great video and commentary. Thank You. We walked the Camino Francis a few years ago and plan on starting the Norte early September. We hope see more of your journey, have a wonderful time.
@@TheProfessorandHerPassport I am sorry, I do not mean to be bothersome. BUt when I went to check out flights from Madrid to Irun, I couldn't find an Irun airport. I think I heard once that the San Sebastian airport is in Irun. Is that correct?
@@TheProfessorandHerPassport AWESOME!!! Thank you so much. Your videos are making me very anxious to go back to the Camino to do Del Norte. It looks very beautiful. Thank you for posting them!
Wow! I am planning to do camino del norte in September. I am still undecided whether I want to do or skip the first stage from Irun to San Sebastian. Because it's a very long distance on the very first day. Last year, on camino portugues, I started very easy (8 km, 16 km, 20 km) and so on and it was the perfect slow start for me. I looked on the map and it looks like it's impossible to divide this stage in two, because there is no accommodation on the way, right? :/ I would like to do it because it looks so beautiful!
Loving this. Doing Del North in September. Thanks for your advice and documenting your trip.
Enjoy the journey.

Loved your video what were the dates you did the Norte?
Thank you so much. I started July 4 2022 and finished August 16.

The first stage was tough but some of the later stages were even tougher.

Hi…I walked it this past summer. Started July 4 in Irun and finished on August 16 in Santiago.

How long will you be gone???
I return August 22.

Thank you. The hills are extremely rocky so prepare well.
I have a fear of heights, is there a wall the whole way up? Are the stairs pretty wide? Thank you!
The steps are wide and there is a small wall. No fear of falling.
Thank you for your video. I have made my flight reservations, and I am landing in Madrid. How did you get to Irun? And from where?
Thanks for watching. I flew from Madrid to Irun.

@@williamgiovinazzo8523 No bother at all. That is what I'm here for. yes. San Sebastin is next to Irun. I walked from the airport to Irun.
How close do the edges of the cliffs do you walk? I am thinking of doing del norte, but I have a very bad fear of hights.
You can get as close or as far away as you want. Some areas have fencing and others do not. Don’t worry.

Your channel name is arrogant.
Why do you say that? I am a professor and I have a passport. Nothing arrogant about that. It’s just a name.
