Brenda.....you do need to take a picture of Laura with you. Years ago I had to miss a big quilting event that I go to every year with my two dear friends. They secretly took a picture of me (just my head) and put it on a rag doll. Then they took that silly doll with them to every shop they visited and took a picture with the shop owner and "me"! Then they sent me pictures throughout the weekend. It really lifted my spirits and I still laugh every time I see those pictures.
Great idea Lori!!!!! Although I do not have a picture of myself that I would authorize Brenda to take with her......not photogenic! I know she will remember to show me everything that she does!!

I am excited to hear that Nancy wants you to teach her to cross stitch. My mom was not into needlework of any kind but when she was in her late 70s she asked me to teach her cross stitch. Laura I hope you read this. I love the idea of your wooden floss winder. Well I have to tell you what I did because I could not wait for mine to come in. I used an empty paper towel cardboard. I cut notches inn each end and wrapped my floss an cut the end of floss. Now my floss is just as pretty as yours. I really enjoy you both

Brenda, Have a wonderful time at The Attic! I’m from Minnesota but my husband and I winter in Mesa, so The Attic is my local store during the winter months. I enjoy the store, employees and stitching friends that I have met at The Attic. Laura, my mother started stitching close to her 80’s. When she was 80, she stitched her large piece called “Country Bloomers” by Jeremiah Junction. The following year she entered her finished piece in our county fair and won a ribbon. I believe it was a Grand Champion ribbon. I’ll always remember her excitement of her experience. Country Bloomer’s now hangs in my kitchen as she passed away in 2002. Happy Birthday to your mother! I know you will both enjoy your stitching journey. 🎉🎊🎂 ❤️❤️❤️. It was great to meet Mike. Thank you both for all you share.
Another great video and yes, you do enable. I commented a few weeks back that I haven't stitched a Black Bird design, well, that will change. I had the chance to visit Fire Poppies in Summerville SC, my husband and son told me take as much time as I needed and if I saw something I wanted to buy it ----- oh boy. I went straight to Black Bird charts and bought Sweet Land of Liberty and fabric to stitch Salute to Abigail. My husband picked out a piece of fabric perfect for Halloween so I bought Casting a Spell because Laura says a chart can't travel alone. I want to stitch everything in both books -- I think you have created a monster. Brenda I hope you have a great time at Summer School, I can't wait to see what you bring back. Happy Stitching.

Laura I hope you read this. I love the idea of your wooden floss winder. Well I have to tell you what I did because I could not wait for mine to come in. I used an empty paper towel cardboard. I cut notches inn each end and wrapped my floss an cut the end of floss. Now my floss is just as pretty as yours. I really enjoy you both

Brenda, Have a wonderful time at The Attic! I’m from Minnesota but my husband and I winter in Mesa, so The Attic is my local store during the winter months. I enjoy the store, employees and stitching friends that I have met at The Attic.
Laura, my mother started stitching close to her 80’s. When she was 80, she stitched her large piece called “Country Bloomers” by Jeremiah Junction. The following year she entered her finished piece in our county fair and won a ribbon. I believe it was a Grand Champion ribbon. I’ll always remember her excitement of her experience. Country Bloomer’s now hangs in my kitchen as she passed away in 2002.

Another great video and yes, you do enable. I commented a few weeks back that I haven't stitched a Black Bird design, well, that will change. I had the chance to visit Fire Poppies in Summerville SC, my husband and son told me take as much time as I needed and if I saw something I wanted to buy it ----- oh boy. I went straight to Black Bird charts and bought Sweet Land of Liberty and fabric to stitch Salute to Abigail. My husband picked out a piece of fabric perfect for Halloween so I bought Casting a Spell because Laura says a chart can't travel alone. I want to stitch everything in both books -- I think you have created a monster. Brenda I hope you have a great time at Summer School, I can't wait to see what you bring back. Happy Stitching.
