Brenda take it from someone how had chemotherapy delay.... let your body do its thing, sit on your princess pillow & let all the mother hens, father roosters do their things. Sit back & nap when needed, work when you can & enjoy the ride. You will laugh later about it all but take time to laugh about the hens running around looking after you. It means they love you which you already know. You are being prayed for & are loved to bits!! Laura You are precious precious precious also!! Hugs & kisses to you both

Dear Brenda, I am a 44 year old wife and mother of teenagers. I started stitching again in the winter of 2020. I found you and Laura fairly soon off and you guys are always on the “to watch list”. My style of stitching are samplers and anything Blackbird,Brenda Gervais, and prim style. I too am stitching Beth Twist’s “ Remember the Lilies”. I’ve learned so much from watching you guys and save your special videos for quiet time and when I won’t be disturbed.☺️ I received a surprise stage 3c lobular breast cancer diagnosis at age 40. I had a long journey of 17 weeks of chemo( suppose to be 20 but couldnt do last 3 due to neuropathy in feet),double mastectomy( one side radical),33 rounds of radiation, lymphedema and cording in arm, physical therapy, double oophorectomy, and a few other things.Let me tell ya being post menopausal at 44 has its “presents”😉. ( I am NED, “no evidence of disease “💪🏻) All this to say that I truly empathize with your fears and worries. I had a three week break during my treatment due to low numbers and ended up in hospital and on oxygen for a few weeks. Through the whole 2 year ordeal and even now what helped me so much was a positive attitude. Yes we will all have “days” but a positive attitude is the key! I’m so glad you are able to enjoy your stitching. I hadn’t restarted stitching back then, but I’m so glad you are able to do it for your mind and spirit. I just want you to know how much I love your positive attitude and that you wear your peach fuzz head proudly as I did. You are strong and you are a survivor. It’s a “club” none of us want to be a part of but I believe I have become stronger, more grateful and a more empathic person because of what I had to go through. Thank you so much for continuing these videos through all of it, it amazes me. Brenda, you’ve “got this”.💖💪🏻💖And Laura do not underestimate how much your positivity and support for Brenda helps her. You are playing an extremely important part in her healing as is her loving family and friends. It's always a pleasure to sit & stitch while watching both of you. Your flosstube has really introduced me to so many designs, designers, and wonderful stitch things. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this, especially during Brenda's illness.
Brenda, I am an infusion nurse. I gave chemo for 26 years. I retired and cleaned out my desk and locker this week. It was a little hard as I've been close to lots of my patients. I do still see one of my patients that I share a love of quilting and embroidery with. I just wish you the best.
Thank goodness for our infusion nurses! A vital part to getting well! Thank you for your many years of service!
@@cathylloyd9225 A hearty “Amen!” to that! I used to call one of them the “Vein Whisperer,” LOL- and another one by her fast action saved my life as I quickly learned I was allergic to one of the chemo drugs! God bless them for their tireless care and their great senses of humor:)!

Just received my graphs from Ellen too! She is sooo talented! My plan is to make the sampler maker into a drum. Love when you girls share your haul and projects and gifts given. I had to laugh about the Anchor spools. Mardy has made many a trip to JoAnnes for doc. Those Carol Manning quilt designs have grabbed me and I’m trying to get the threads for a rainy day! We are master planners and proud of it👌

About 10 years ago, I made the Blackbird Design quilt called “Midnight Silhouette.” It was for my daughter. At the time she had a sweet black cat named Minxy. The cross stitch sampler is my first Blackbird pattern and I love it!

OK. First of all, I am all hepped up whenever I see that you folks have posted a new video. Secondly, I love black licorice, so feel free to send any you get right to me. I will take care of it for you! And third, I don't put my floss on floss drops, but I COVET all of the cool designs! I would love to have one of each! I might make some just so I can trade with people - thanks for showing all of the neat stuff. And Laura, I am glad that you keep starting projects, and for what you said, Brenda, about stitching in DMC or silk or Anchor or whatever you want to or have, I appreciate that, too. You both exemplify so many aspects of the stitching hobby, I think that is one of the reasons you are so fun to watch. And you are friends, and you appreciate what each other brings to it that is different from what you bring - very refreshing and fun.

Yes, thank goodness for stitching. And thank goodness for all our stitching friends on Flosstube!! I live only about 10 minutes from Quilter’s Station and thought about just hanging around the store for a chance to meet everyone, but thought they might think I was a stalker!😁 It was full before anybody local even knew it was happening!! Sure hope they all had a great time and were made to feel welcome to the area! Brenda, keeping you and your family in my prayers. These hiccups sure can be a nuisance!!

Well, I do get more stitching done when football is on than Basketball so guess that would be 2 things.Remind me again why you are a Michigan fan.
Thread note……. I LOVE Anchor floss and use to sell it in my shop years ago. They are now producing it in Hungary not Germany. I bought a spool recently and the color is spot on when I compared it to one of my old skeins. The quality seems the same as well. I hope you enjoy it.

What a fantastic way to spend an hour - pure joy. You two just made my day. However,inasmuch as I filled half a steno pad of must-haves s.t.a.t as Laura says, I may have to re-mortgage or find a buyer for my first born son. You ladies are killing me. How is an84 year stitcher supposed to keep up this pace. I already stopped cooking. Looks like giving up laundry is next. Brenda you made me laugh so hard tears ran down my legs when you finished your haul of Anchor and said not too bad.lol

love watching you, as always 🥰 I have a friend with the same problem of LOW BLOOD 🩸 COUNTand she started eating beets, she would boiled them, cut them and adding lemon and salt or make some kind of any fruit juice and adding a small piece of beet and drink it like medicine and her blood count was recovered very fast
