There was this guy in my town a few years ago who would leave post it notes along a local path reading shit like “women hate me”. Because of that, the victim is pretty much required to be assaulted for them to intervene. Idk how it is with American laws but Sweet Anita's case was UK based.

I've been hit with pepper spray. Not directly. Someone else was being an ass hole to a woman and she pepper sprayed him and I was just too close. Didn't get a full burst of it and glad I didn't. What little I got was bad enough. The woman was actually really sympathetic to me afterwards. She carried me to the clinic and got me sorted. Police got involved and I ended up being a witness to defend the woman for her actions against the ass hole that was tormenting her
Been peppersprayed, and let me tell you: it is indeed the most painful experience I’ve felt in my life. It is unbelievable that he uses it so fast without any reason. His lawyer could argue that the pepper spray was response to the shoe getting thrown at him, and as the creep "only" verbally harassed the woman, the woman was the one who escalated it into violence, and the creep "merely defended himself". Also how the creep was backing away, and the woman followed him wont bode well for the woman's self defense claims from legal perspective. I doubt he's going to jail.

I can't believe it has been 25 years now, but I remember witnessing something very similar to this one at the San Francisco CalTrain station. This video actually brought back the memory. This older Chinese guy wouldn't leave this one girl alone. She was clearly trying to run away from him. He kept laughing and trying to grab her arm asking her how old she was. I noticed no one was doing anything, much like a couple of male bystanders in the garage in this video. It pissed me off so much, I ended up walking up to him myself, and hitting him in the arm really hard and saying "WTF is your problem", which scared him. The girl he was bothering got on a bus, so I continued on, got my bus and went home. I didn't know what I was more horrified by. The actions of that creep, or that hundreds of people, and no one else said anything. I thought that was bad at the time, and it was. But what I saw in this video from this dude was far worse. He was so disgusting that I pray -- and I don't even believe in prayer -- but I do PRAY that he gets the death penalty.

His lawyer could argue that the pepper spray was response to the shoe getting thrown at him, and as the creep "only" verbally harassed the woman, the woman was the one who escalated it into violence, and the creep "merely defended himself". Also how the creep was backing away, and the woman followed him wont bode well for the woman's self defense claims from legal perspective.

I can't believe it has been 25 years now, but I remember witnessing something very similar to this one at the San Francisco CalTrain station. This video actually brought back the memory.
This older Chinese guy wouldn't leave this one girl alone. She was clearly trying to run away from him. He kept laughing and trying to grab her arm asking her how old she was. I noticed no one was doing anything, much like a couple of male bystanders in the garage in this video.
It pissed me off so much, I ended up walking up to him myself, and hitting him in the arm really hard and saying "WTF is your problem", which scared him. Then I started yelling, at him, which started attracting attention, and the guy started walking away as fast as he could.
The girl he was bothering got on a bus, so I continued on, got my bus and went home. I didn't know what I was more horrified by. The actions of that creep, or that hundreds of people, and no one else said anything.
I thought that was bad at the time, and it was. But what I saw in this video from this dude was far worse. He was so disgusting that I pray -- and I don't even believe in prayer -- but I do PRAY that he gets the death penalty.

More garages need security guards. In college, our security guard was dope, he didn’t care if you were smoking at the top floor or skating down it, he strictly looked out for sketchy people and sketchy situations.
