  • Hidden in South Wales, lies ANOTHER beautiful, sparkling, turquoise reservoir. Goytre Reservoir walk (formally Cwmwernderi Reservoir) is nestled behind Port Talbot, near Cwmavon and with glorious views, is well worth a visit if you're nearby!
(I would say this South Wales walk is also suitable for dogs!)
In this video I take you around the circular walk that will give you all angles of the reservoir.

Love your videos. Walked Goytre Reservoir this afternoon. Almost exactly the same trail You took. It's May now and the trail looks stunning with all the trees in leaf, and bluebells. Beautiful woodland. The cyclists are fine. I mountain bike in the area. But the noisy motorbikes that churn up the trails are a nuisance. But as You say, it's incredibly peaceful and feels wild and remote, even though it's not far from urban area. It has a magical atmosphere 🌲🌳🌲👍

Awesome spot Emma. I agree with you it's the best quality air in such places. I just checked it out on google. It looks like you're well out into the wilderness but its right behind the town. Lovely. The color? A bit like azure. Thanks for sharing - great space. Mark

Hey Mark! Definitely check it out when you can. The forest bit was the best part for me 🤩

Strangely this is the 2nd video on this place I have seen in the last few days - I watched Dragon Outdoors video a few days ago. You are right, water colour is very similar to Brombil - wonder why that is? atb Alan

I only found it because I was having a look at local places on Google maps. I had never heard of it before! Lovely walk though, especially the forest part - that was the best bit for me (besides the view). No idea why the water is that colour! I will need to do some research!
