    Thank you for making this video 😎 I learned a lot in this one to help me complete my build.

    Did you drill and tap the oil pan on the truck? I didn't see you mention pulling the pan. Followers should know the dangers of tapping their oil pan and introducing metal shavings into their oil on the inside. I found this video while looking for someone using a timing cover drain setup.

      DIY Dozier yes I did drill and tap the pan, and pulled the pan and cleaned it out before putting oil back in it. Good point and I didn’t mention that in the video.

    Hi. Curious if the turbo drain oil will invalidate the oil level sensor being directly above it? Interesting project so far. Staying tuned.

      Hi, thanks for watching and commenting akinshok, yes the location of the drain line did cause some issues with my oil level sensor... I may just try to bypass it to get the low oil warning level to to turn off

    By any chance do you know what size bolts you used for the oil drain they didn’t supply me with them

    I've always wondered why that freaking piece was there. Why is it there if these are all factory n/a trucks? what extra oil return did these need lol.

      Chubbza5 I have no idea why it’s there but I’m glad it is lol

    Nice, any chance you got pictures of where you routed the drain hose?

      @LowbuckLS  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry I don’t have any pictures with that old setup but basically you want the hose to go as straight as possible and as vertical as possible from the Center section of the turbo to where it drains in to the oil pan. Avoid sharp bends in the hose and avoid having any sections where the hose is horizontal if possible.

    How long of an oil feed did you use ? And the fitting part #

    • @LowbuckLS
      @LowbuckLS  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello Luis, thanks for watching and commenting, I believe the oil feed line is about 5 feet long, the fitting on the oil pan end is a Swagelok part #SS-400-1-2 and the fitting on the turbo end is a Swagelok SS-400-2-2.

    Why leave only one cat😂

      brappp life I’ll be fixing that... at the time I left the 1 cat in there just to make fabrication easier. I now have the Hooker cast manifolds and crossover pipe which I will be installing soon to fix that situation.

      @@LowbuckLS can you provide more videos of your setup? And how well this oil drain worked out and how long it’s lasted. Thanks
