Confirmed. Bolted up no modifications required in my 86 C20 with factory AC. And a definite improvement.

LOL! Used to be when you went to AutoZone, there was an older guy working behind the counter who knew a thing or a hundred about cars. He'd take your money, bag your parts, and give you some torque specs and install tips. Nowadays, there are kids behind the counter who will ask you if your vehicle is a diesel while they're searching for the spark plugs and wires you came in for. Alas. It's a brave new world, fellas.

I appreciate the video and the part numbers. I went with the pm129 part number when I replaced the blower in my 86 suburban. There is DEFINITELY an improvement in airflow. HUGE difference.

Another thing to do if it ain't blowing hard is to check for air leaks along the firewall and replace the foam stripping where the ducts under the dash are connected and you can reseal the firewall with butal tape used for insulating, or even silicone.

Use a van blower motor sir!!! That's the best upgrade. The van had a funky small tight heater box with alot of restrictions, so they used a high output fan in them. So like 1992 g20/vandura

Great tip- I have two square body trucks- '84 K20, '91 Full size Jimmy. Both fans seem weak to me. Just jumped online, bought two, plan to swap them before the winter rains hit to keep the widow defrost working!

@@RubinsRacing350 I finally did my swap- Had an issue as my truck does not have factory A/C. Had to do a little modifying. Seems to blow a bit more air now.

I redid my heater/ac on my 79 gmc. Check your seal between firewall and heater ac assembly. My seal was totally gone, all the air was leaking out around the housing. I resealed it with a big bead of silicone. I also blew out my ac evaporator, clogged.I .totally resealed and cleaned everything with silicone. It's tight now, I also had a big buildup of sticks and leaves obstructing the blower intake, I cleaned it, take your passenger kick panel off, you can see the blower intake. Like I said , if your firewall gasket is gone, you lose all your air, and the blower sucks in engine smells, smells perfect now, no engine fumes. Also, none of my interior plenum control air control valves worked, I could not find parts to fix, so I just wired all air valves wide open. I just control the air flow closing or opening the manual dash valves. BUT!! Wide open now, it will " "blow your hat off!!! No smell, and my AC works great, just comes out on the floor and vents,.. ok, no big deal to me. Hope this helps!! Great video though!!

Most are darn right encouraging... can't please a man who is about to get himself hung... to smile cause you tell him that your using a new rope as he just ain't quite feeling it like you an don't beg as it could rub off on the "young man" who impresses me with his doing with dad stuff. I did the same thing a few years ago. I had a blower motor from a 95 sitting on the shelf. The guy wanted it replaced because it was noisy. So free upgrade for me. Lubed it up and installed and it seemed to blow better. The other thing I did was clean the evaporator and that helped a lot as well.
