Beardy, I'd suggest trying the Parking Brake mod for KSP on Space Dock, or at least giving it a look. It works well at stopping the sliding, especially on slopes.

Yes, the series is a space race with two other TH-camrs. We aren't using a multiplayer mod, but instead we splice craft into eachother's save files when they are launched. I would recommend watching the playlist, which features videos from the other TH-camrs all in order :)
It's a real shame that the setups you and N9 are using are basically impossible to replicate without all the networking you have done for making this the best it can be. I'm not sure if a random individual is even capable of *doing* that networking without being a modder or a youtuber for ksp
