Hey Beardy, would you and N9 consider going beyond a manned moon mission with the series? something like For All Mankind where the space race never ended? I think that would be super cool to see where the both you would take your respective space programs to.
Was just thinking this, would love to see an alternate history where they can take creative control of how the series goes. Create a new timeline diverging from the moon landings
On his Tsar Bomba stream he had Carnasa on with him, and they were talking about Carnasa coming on the series as the ESA after the race to the moon is finished.
Beardy, a visitor should bring a present for the host. You couldn't have left a little caviar and maybe some vokda in place of the film canister? Can't tell you how much I'm enjoying this series. Great work, both of you.
Imagine Beardy as a aerospace engineer watching the manned rocket he designed landing on Mars and then: Whoops, forgot to put enough fuel in in the lander, oh well, better luck next time

A cool thing for whatever mod adds the iradiating kerbals thing, it would be cool if you could still force them to.go.on missions even.when they're at 100% but they would mess things up and pass out more and it would drastically lower your reputation and they can die if the radiation gets a curtain point over 100%,this would be cool if like you had no money to get new kerbanoughts but really need to do a mission for money that needs a person
Man, here you are landing in specific craters on the Moon, while I'm just happy if I hit the proper planet without blowing up XD Keep it up Beardy! Happy to see your videos :D
Man, I do not have the patience to play Realism Overhaul. You must have some insane dedication to work on this series while also working on college stuff.
I know that it is.. stupid.. but I have an "idea": (If this continues into 1970s). If after 21st august 1968 your rockets somehow fail, you could blame it on Czecho-Slovak scientist/engineers, because on august 20th 1968, USSR invaded CSSR so Czecho-Slovaks could "sabotage" your space program. (since you include cold war stuff). Anyway, love this series and I hope it will continue past moon landing!
It seems to me that the two of you are keeping quite close to IRL timelines, with just some small differences. As I'm not that good with history, what would be the larger differences between your Kerble Earth universe and ours?
I'm not sure about the chances of escape, but I believe the windows on the bomber were blown out from the shockwave! also honestly I don't see much of a problem with the R-13, its really the embodyment of the soviet/chinese rocket design philosophy put to the extreme. Uprating engines, stretching tanks, maybe add a stage, if your making a big leg up maybe add a wider tank with newer engines, and repeat until you have extracted the most performance possible from that diameter, maybe reusing the first stage of another rocket for a second stage, etc. and it works! you get a nice family of relatively cheap rockets without adding the complexity of reuse.
actual russian here, i think nato designation for Tu-95 is closer to bear as an animal(медведь), rather than bear as in bear something(Нести), so i think there's a bit of a mistake in your naming.
I explained to our Kamerad N9, that the files, it was Harmless Joke, we had our Agent simply move the files every time he followed your directions and he didn't notice until now. Just a Harmless Prank on him. :-)
I kinda feel like You 2 skip too much the need for aircraft development as those were time of cold war after all, when most of the modern planes were created. So kind of having to also develop "passenger" planes and fighters prototypes within that limited budget
common sense, 5 10 megaton nuke could do more than one 50 megaton, so in almost every scenario, you will use smaller ones in large numbers, instead of a single big one.
We know everybody wants to see a cold war series between you and n9 and pls could you make this a thing i know in the live stream you said you wont be doing this but pls this would go viral
This IS a cold war series. There are tensions, there is meddling, there is pushing the boundaries. In the Cold war there were never any actual direct engagements between US and USSR

Actually, word "Nesti" in russian means "Carry" (like "to bear"), and bear, as animal (which you probably meant) is "Medved".
