I have the P16 and it is a great laptop. That 4k oled is fantastic and color accurate and supports touch. It's performance is next level and has a great selection of ports. The matt black coating is the least fingerprint magnet coating you can currently get and looks great. It has an excellent keybord and one of the best non haptic trackpads you will find. It runs very cool for a 4060 and fan noise is very tolerable. It's speakers are excellent and it's pricing at 1899 is exceptional. Looking at you Dell XPS, Samsung book ultra even Mac Book Pro. As for ram you get fast ddr5x at 32 gigs standard and can upgrade to 64. It's only flaws is it should be haptic and 120 htz. If you need it get the g16, but you will go from 4k to 2.5 k and lose the dial pad and the discrete looks. Even the MacBook Pro has it's faults, no oled, the notch.no type A ports, no wifi 7 and is very expensive to get 32 gigs of ram and 1tb storage and you cant game on it. Sometimes you need to look at the overall package. Good review Matthew and I agree the PX13 is a feat of engineering. Great review,. I am looking for a new laptop to replace my yoga. I am more into productivity and watching videos- no gaming. I have my laptop connected to an AOC monitor with a 144hz refresh rate so if i am not mistaken that monitor takes the place of teh oled and does fine even if gaming, right?
How does this compare to the studiobook pro 16 w7604? Torn between the two. I like the pro 16 for the 180 degree hinge, the 120hz , and the haptic trackpad, but surely this model performs better?
Great and well-produced review - thanks a lot! The P16 is for sure my next laptop - I love the clean aesthetics combined good screen/keyboard/performance and the sound/mic/webcam are much better than my current laptop. I am not a gamer, so 60Hz refresh isn't much of an issue for me.
I have an old laptop used for communication/web connected to camera/mic/headphone amp in my WFH setup. It is starting to show its significant age, so I will replace it with my current LG Gram 17, and get the P16 as my new daily driver and for working when away from home (visual effects). I connect remotely to a server at work, so not a lot of need for performance - main need is screen/keyboard/cam/mic.
I just bought the 13" with a 4060 to replace a big Threadripper game development tower and it's doing great so far. 60hz isn't a big of a deal as it seems, I'm going to update my monitors pretty soon and will go 120hz, I don't really need it on the tiny laptop screen. The only thing that drives me nuts is when swiping between desktops, the screen animation pauses for 300 ms when I release the touchpad, then resumes the animations. Adjusting the performance settings doesn't seem to fix it either, it's driving me bonkers.
I never understood the logic of making a larger version of a laptop that is originally a 2 in 1 but not making the larger version 2 in 1 as well... like, why? Especially a laptop for creators, why? What is so wrong with a 16 inch 2 in 1?
he just bought the p16 my first ProArt i don't know how to use the dial pad i feel like it doesn't work. the led on the right of the trackpad doesn't light up, how do i activate it please?

Honestly, I am waiting for the Intel Lunar Lake versions. Those seem to have better graphics and run considerably more silent. And you get a better battery life, too.
Why did they remove one USBC 40gbs capability from the 16inch version, the 13 inch has both USBC ports at 40gbs but on the 16 only one? That's an odd thing to do for a creator laptop, definitely need both of those at 40gbs , that's a deal breaker for sure.
the 16 not folding completely makes the stylus pretty useless, they even removed the stylus compatability with the trackpad, would be a no-brainer otherwise
nice but my 13"th Pro Art studio book R24 multicore is about 30 percent higher and about 10% higher timespy (13980hx and Ada 3000) and has a dedicated dialpad and stylus support. Not sure downgrading would make sense except for people travelling a lot.
I am a musician, existing in professional monitoring headphones, and would happily trade in the pointless speakers for more RAM and keyboard space. Unfortunately, almost everything with good specs now has to include the stupid speakers :(
I love everything about the PX13 but I don't care for the 60hz display. I don't play many games but I know that spending lots of time traveling and working that a 120hz panel would be more enjoyable. That's unfortunate.
I wish they did a 14” instead of 13 with a 4070. Not sure why they even do a 13” anymore, just too small for me. Especially with the higher resolution.
@@MatthewMoniz Hello again, so I've been using p16 for a week and I've edited video and graphics with Photoshop and Capcat, as well as all the daily work. @MatthewMoniz the G16 design is absolutely the best, but with a 125W 4080, core ultra chip, and a massive price tag, I just can't, Matt. I'm currently waiting to see if the new AMD chips will be in the legion 7 line up this year or confirmation that the 14900hx is not affected by the overvolatge fiasco. It feels like legion 7, 7i, or 9i are the only choices this year.
Not an ASUS fan and await these AMDs to arrive in alternative brands. That will also add competition and these prices should fall to a more reasonable level. At the moment ASUS has a deal with AMD to be the initial wave and that means that consumers are likely paying what ASUS paid AMD--as well as all these sponsored ads.

Where I can find those cool wallpapers in the thumbnail? Thank you!
I made them!
@@MatthewMoniz That’s awesome! Any patreon page or something where I can access those?! Thank you.
Thank you! WHat laptop are upgrading from?
Is the Asus studiobook version replaced with the old one that had a physical wheel or is this another version?
which one better ASUS ProArt P16 or macbook pro m3
I just got the ASUS proart px 13 wit the 4060. I love it. Guess what? Im selling my M3 Macbook pro
I just saw the 13 in store, it's gorgeous, one question does it run hot?
@@oni7729 The fans only kick in when playing high end games. Other than that, its amazing
Thanks for replying, that's amazing, now I wanna pick one up😍
Is it good for gaming? If we are playing games in ultra setting in px13?
I just bought the 2024 g14 for my new college laptop should i return it and get this one?
I never understood the logic of making a larger version of a laptop that is originally a 2 in 1 but not making the larger version 2 in 1 as well... like, why? Especially a laptop for creators, why? What is so wrong with a 16 inch 2 in 1?
I get it! They could have used the Flow X16 design.
@@MatthewMoniz thank you for validating me 😭 finding the perfect laptop is so hard for me lol
High refresh rate is not only for gaming but also for a comfortable website scrolling experience, etc.
Totally but you don't scroll on your desktop like you do with your finger on a phone so its not as noticeable but I agree the panels should be 120hz.
@@MatthewMonizcan Asus fix the problem next year
he just bought the p16 my first ProArt i don't know how to use the dial pad i feel like it doesn't work. the led on the right of the trackpad doesn't light up, how do i activate it please?
120hz should be a standard for these laptops especially at these prices.
The Pro Att 2023 with i9 , 120 Hertz or The P16 witch one is better?
How many external monitors can I connect to the PX13? What definition? At what refresh rate?
i want a laptop for mostly remote connect to my work computer for work (microsoft excel/pdf/word stuff) and discord talking and streaming videos with my gf. I feel like these would be overkill. Any recommendations?
I dont thin kthey are overkill but would also like to hear an answer. I am down to either the Yoga Pro 91 or the Proart s!6
How is Lenovo yoga 7 Ryzen CPU i want user review
I'm so put off by Asus's reputation for abysmal RMA support. I could not see buying a Asus until it changes it's support culture.
The perfect laptop for design and fine arts students.
Is qhd vs uhd resolution that noticeable on a 16"?
Finally a high quality review of the p16
Thanks for watching!
Should I get the 4060 or the 4070 what do you guys think?
Honestly, I am waiting for the Intel Lunar Lake versions. Those seem to have better graphics and run considerably more silent. And you get a better battery life, too.
How good is the igpu on these?
can you use cell service with it?
Unfortunately, almost everything with good specs now has to include the stupid speakers :(
What about the yoga pro 9i comparison?
I would llike to know that answer too
Cannot even beat G16 with last gen Intel Ultra 9 185H
I will never buy something so expensive with a 60Hz refresh screen.
What game were you playing?
Overwatch 2
I really wanted proart px13, but after discovering that display is only 60hz... Its a deal breaker for me
Weight?
will it overheat? A lot of Asus comp will overheat and the battery is not that good. the speaker is not good too.
I love everything about the PX13 but I don't care for the 60hz display. I don't play many games but I know that spending lots of time traveling and working that a 120hz panel would be more enjoyable. That's unfortunate.
Can this charge off of either USB-C ports in the proart13 with generic chargers? And at what rate? I had problems with this with the Flow X13
Up to 100w
Looking forward to the review of the asus tuf versions with the HX370 procs.
Ive already reviewed the TUF A14 with the HX370 procs. The video is on the channel

Errmmm .. the 16 inch model can have 3 ssds.. the 13inch only has 1tb. I'd be interested to know if you can manually replace ssd on the 13..
With these designs I think I will never gonna want to buy a Macbook
I wish they did a 14” instead of 13 with a 4070. Not sure why they even do a 13” anymore, just too small for me. Especially with the higher resolution.
Amazing video.. can’t wait to receive my p16 🎉
Thanks! Let me know how you like it
@@MatthewMoniz I will 😀
@@MatthewMoniz Hello again, so I've been using p16 for a week and I've edited video and graphics with Photoshop and Capcat, as well as all the daily work. It is a very good laptop, very powerful and it has never stopped or even slowed down in anything.
The sound is the best I've heard from a laptop and the whole feeling when I use it is perfect. The screen is sooo good!!! I also like that when I have it connected to an external monitor with a type c cable, I don't need to connect the charger because it charges from there. Ι had a little concern about the warranty because there are many people saying in the comments that it is a scam etc, but there is an app installed on the laptop and available for mobile to contact and help with the warranty and repair in case of damage. I used the app to send them a message with a question i had and they replied the next day. Overall I am very happy with the purchase I made. Oh and I would ask the apple fanatics to stop attacking anyone who prefers to use something else and not apple products. Please allow us to have so fun.. Thanks!
People need to calm down, 120Hz is nice to have but should not be a dealbreaker unless you are a gamer, especially on such a small display
So, I guess I'm staying with my MacBook 14 m1 pro
Is it normal that my ASUS TUF A15 reaches 86c on the GPU(RTX 4060 at 100w+) and 93c on the CPU(R7 7735HS at 30w+) while gaming if I don't elevate it? I have repasted it as well and it didn't make any noticeable difference.
60Hz is the nail in the coffin here.
Ya i wish it had 120hz but I guess you can always just buy the ZEphyrus G16 instead if you dont need a dialpad. Its pretty much the same laptop.
At the moment ASUS has a deal with AMD to be the initial wave and that means that consumers are likely paying what ASUS paid AMD--as well as all these sponsored ads.
does both of this thing have upgradeable memory?.
Neither do, unfortunately. The PX13 I understand. But not the p16. But that was a change already made for the G14/G16 earlier this year
@@Wistbacka thanks.. its kinda perfect laptop for ai.. just pure power no rgb.. i guess need to go for max 64 gb version for p16
I really think the ryzen ai 300 is gonna dominate the second half of 2024, and even early 2025
and also becuz intel's raptor lake cpu is in big trouble, no one wants to buy their HX cpu, yet their meteor lake is too weak
and i don't think intel's Lunar lake is going to catch up
I would prefer 14th or 13th gen i9 day and night over this in productivity and multicore. I M NOT a fan of killing performance for the sake of battery. Last years machines were leagues ahead in multicore . I honestly think hx370 is good as it brings neural units to equation, but still WEAK as compared to last gen. Why couldnt they just make it stronger? 7945hx is like at least 50 percent better than this , and those devices have like a 4080 and still cheaper..geeeez
The more laptops I test with HX 370 cpus the more impressed I get. I think its going to be the best of X86 for the next little while.
@@hasandeniz6243 You can push the HX 370 to 100W easily with the G16. Performance will be very close to 13/14th gen i9. And no, it's not weak, it's much cooler than the Intel pendant, thus giving you more thermal headroom for thin devices and no throttling at all. It performs really, really good and is damn snappy. If you want more performance and you don't care about mobility nor battery, then the next stop is a desktop really.
@@tinybit780 wow really? That s nice to hear. How do you push the hx370 to 100 watt? Is it bios overclock or there s embedded software? In that case this becomes more of a value to me to be honest..
9:09 How do u even get 9 hours from the Zephyrus G16… mine runs for 4 hours max
It's looked like the dial pad was extremely laggy in da Vinci resolve..
They have a gaming rig ...
Does anyone know if the PX13 can charge via USB-C?
I returned the PX13 I found the performance using Lightroom Classic was very poor. Benchmarks are meaningless it comes down to how well your mostly used apps run
Why is the wifi card swappable but the ram not upgradeable? 😅
Because mediatek WiFi cards suck
upgradable ram would kill the memory speeds. its impossible to get 6000+ speeds on ddr5 sticks so by soldering ram u can achieve speeds of over 7000mhz
@@ian-pi8fv it's achievable now with the CAMM standard
I'm not into convertibles but that's something I'd buy.
When launch in India
sad to hear, upgradeable RAM is not coming back with Ryzen AI. I think I will stay with my behemot Studiobook Pro 16 a bit longer (up to 96gb DDR5)
I compared the P16 to the Yoga Pro 91 with the higher 165hz reffresh rate watching a tennis match and I thoughty the ASUS was actually better and less choppy. Go figure. And if you have an external monitor with a higher refresh rate then why not use that set up and it moots the 60 hz refresh rate.
The wobble on the P16 looks pretty dramatic...
You're all complaining about the 4K/60Hz. 4k/120Hz doest not exist for a laptop, if it was, it would heavily impact the battery life. I ( as a creator) would rather have a 60Hz with the sharpness of a 4k panel than 120Hz at a lower resolution.
Why are you telling such a bold face lie about 4k 120hz not existing on laptops, wtf
