What is so amazing about this wiper. Yes it's big, but spraying direct from the wiper is a thing from the 90s. My Peugeot 405 did it. And the fact it wipes a dry screen first will cause loads of scratches.
That's what I said, happened to one of my trucks that had a dry spot, I'm also telling my ma she needs a new wiper for her rear window before it's scratched.
Never ever have I ever wanted to watch a video of a damn windshield wiper until now 😂😂😩
you are welcome.
@@i1Tesla thanks for feeding my addiction lol
#FACTS
Ikr 😂
For a long LONG time I have wondered why engineers have not made more efficient and aesthetically pleasing wiper arms. Telsa is getting there with this. If they could hide it in the pillar that would be awesome.
Just amazing... I hope all the other cars that cost less than $100k can have windshield wipers some day too.
overengineered 700 W windshield wipers that overheats and stuck at a 30 degree angle or being dragged by the wind all around while its cools down, and according to tesla documents its normal that its stops working for up to 30 seconds, truly awesome wipers
@i1Tesla The reason the wiper stays down is to allow the collected water (if it were raining) to evacuate off the right side before swiping back up. If not, the collected water would get blown back onto the 'cleaned' face. Source: Jason Cammisa's podcast per Tesla Engineer.
Spraying from that side causes it to do one full swipe with no cleaner first, greatky increasing the wear on the single huge wiper. These are going to wear out fast and not work well after a short time. But yeah, they clearly "know what they are doing"
I love how it keeps surprising us with its silly issues and lack of capabilities.
yeah, they "clearly" know LOL - this hunk of metal is straight ass. 0 sympathy for the owners and Elon fuds.
That wrap is 🔥
Wheres the video of the wrap?! 🎉😅
It's gonna leave marks on the window running that dry ass wiper down before its wet
“Its like these guys know what they’re doing.” *Every Cybertruck gets recalled for their faulty windshield wiper*
"It's almost like these guys know what they're doing" after all the myriad cybertruck failures hahahahahha...
This week its the windshield wipers being overheated 🤣
No wonder the wiper motors are now quitting!
The size of it 😂😂😂
Initially Elron Mush said it won’t use a traditional wiper as he was going to completely re-invent it….
Ohhhh kaaaaay then🤔
1:07 obviously these guys know what they are doing
So there is ABSOLUTELY NO TIME for the water to take effect on the screen?
It worked great
I was expecting the soft top of the wiper to flop around as it wiped the windows and it would look hilarious.
THANKS BRIAN 🤗 inquiring minds wanted to know 🧐 and now WE KNOW 🥶😎💚💚💚
Congratulations for your work! Keep it up.
I'm not sure I like the first stroke being dry. Instead of flushing abrasives or lubrication the blade merely scrapes them across the glass. This might be OK in a rain shower, merely cleaning the windshield would abrade the glass.
I’m no genious but I assume you want to keep that wiper down due to it dispensing water throught the top/right side of the wiper no? This would avoid wiping dry on the first swipe. It would not matter though when it’s raining.
LOVE the Purplish/bluish coat; is it paint or a wrap or a stainless heat treatment?
Wrap, and it is gawjus!
It keeps the water down at high speeds. Otherwise the water would run up the windshield if it parked vertically.
does the area where it sits heat up ?
A couple things. When you spray the fluid, do you have to press and hold the washer button? Or could it be a quick tap and it continuously sprays until it reached the driver's edge on its own?
And can the just the rubber blade part be replaced? Most factory installed "wiper blades" just the rubber part can be replaced, rather than the whole metal assembly too.
hold the button to get the spray and yes you can just get the wiper blade
You need to apply ceramic coating, or at the very least get some RainX on that glass.
Squeak Squeak Squeak Squeak. I’d blow my brains out if I had to hear that regularly
What a beautiful neighborhood, I’m planning to escape from NY this summer and moving to San Marcos TX 30 minutes from Austin, I’ve seen a few houses and they were really nice but the neighborhoods looked so dry
NICE BAS (Big Ass Wiper) research! Love the wrap too. Hope to see more!
What's the color/manufacturer of this wrap?
the fluid get into my frunk after i spray.
the wiper stays down to hold water down and the air pushes the water to the sides of the wiper. tesla had explained this
And?
I have seen many crazy built cars but this one is special 😂😂😂😂
The wipers on my dad's 2007 Town & County are more impressive AND they will wipers the ENTIRE windshield.
7:02 the reason for it to save 10 dollar on higher quality motors 🤣
5:07 IT'S SO QUIET
If it's likely there will be multiple wipes it stays down - manual button trigger for single wipe or when in between wipes in intermittent mode. After a cleaning (washer fluid) it returns upright because you generally wouldn't do that if it's raining.
They’ve got to do something about that squeak. all of them do that and it is horrible
That's normal without water
the squeak is only when the windshield is dry
@@i1Tesla I mean yall were spraying it and it was still doing it.
Love the color. That giant windshield is such a crazy design feature.
The squeaks!! 😩😫😵 Wouldn't that potentially cause scratches on the windshield if it's wiping without water first? Interesting video otherwise, and nice color on the wrap.
What’s the drama about these big wiper blade? It’s basically similar in size to a typical bus wiper!!!!!!
Outstanding perspectives for those camera angles and speeds. Miss your attention to details on looking closely at Tesla cars. [update: discussed following at 5:30 ish] Although Kyle had a video showing during the rain the water hovers horizontally. That is going to be a problem with slushy rain and other situations it seems to me and my past normal wiper experiences.
Great video! Also, this is the best-looking wrap I've seen on a CT ever!
If you're driving fast, it'll stay down, that's to prevent the fluid from going up the windshield that it pushed down.
I know cause I've driven my cybertruck in the rain and watched it hold the puddle of water down.
Its because the motor overheats. 🤣
So what if you come to a stop or slower speed, will the wiper return to A pillar?
Great wrap
The only problem is that first downward swipe that is soooo squeaky.
That would be better if the water sprayed when wiper goes down
Nothing like a dry wipe with all the grit to scratch your windshield. 😂 If you can’t put water in front of the blade, how does it work in the rain? Does all the rain make sure to just stay on the one side? 😂 Yeah, Tesla knows what they are doing! 😂😂😂
Is this wrap a TESBROS kit? if so what is the color and type of film? Thanks love it!
Finally someone designed good windshield wiper !! So many years of waiting
The only downside is that IT will się a huge amount of wiper fluid. Could it be tired off ? Or fluid is sprayed only when you want ?
Mercedes-Benz has the same system on the newest generation of cars.
Purple? Pass. But enjoy that awesome truck!
So a dry wipe and then it wipes into your open window? That’s ridiculous
8 minutes on windshield wiper 🙈
What do you call that wrap color? Great video
What a cool, unique video!! Thanks for making this.
A Useless blog. What is important is what is the difference between the Tesla and a normal similar truck?
5:08
That's not new technology. Wipers with sprayers have been around for years now.
"These guys know what they are doing"....Yeah designing the most expensive wiper blade in history, that doesn't last any longer than a $7 wiper blade does. But there is no reason for the wiper to stay down while driving and it's not good for aerodynamics, clearly it's a software bug.
I think they said it stays down to prevent the water from flowing up. Not sure if it longs any longer.
@@slopedarmor That's not true because they don't always stay down.
@@Resist4 yeah thats the intended behaviour
now that Elron got the pay package, we can know the real reason: the wiper motor overheats
@@magyararon6918 Or that that Tesla stock hasn't really gone up in years. Will Elon spend more time at Tesla instead of X? Probably not.
Would love a video on the wrap please!
Great Video as always, Btw Love your Neighborhood!
Just
Tesla will become the iPhone of the car world. Soon, every "Innovation" will have been on other cars for years but because it's a Tesla... it will be "Why didn't anyone think of this before?"
The erotic wiper episode.
That’s not a truck
😂😅😮🎉
Until the wiper falls off!? One ugly vehicle just my opinion
