@@suprememystic most probably he was already looking out… that’s why Agarwal sir told Jeetu bhaiya to talk to him. The only thing he wanted from his next job was stable salary for two years, something that Maheshwari was guaranteeing.
But I think like any other workplace, the work place can be toxic even if they offer a stable salary. Also, he wanted to serve at-least 15 days notice which means he didn’t want to burn bridges in case the next gig goes under.
He was correct. He is not taking a risk. It was jitu's idea to open institute . So profits and losses are his. Why would a professor who is earning good at a highly recommended institute will leave a job and work as a partner.
