I am dropper, jee main 2014 marks 145 ,jee mains marks 2015 146 . See that improvement of 1 mark xD, i did not lose hope I just blamed question paper and moved on for jee advanced prep. Jee advance 2014 15k rank and jee advance 2015 6k rank . So I did graduate from IIT . The goal is to stay focused , stay happy at each moment . Some of my friends missed iit due to subject wise cut off and joined tier 2 clg, guess what they are now working at Goldman Sachs. So if ur struggle was true you will definitely reap that benefits some time or later

I couldn’t join IIT. Did my BTech from state govt college. Joined IIST in machine learning for MTech. Now I am in Microsoft (don’t like at all) and have 3 startup’s. Nothing is failure. If you work hard at any point of time, it will show you results sometimes.

its true ,my friend had repeated twice for iit , but couldn't make it , did engineering from a state college but later got placed in Volvo, after 2 attempts when he joined a state colg , i told him, his efforts went in vain, he used to tell me, nothing goes in vain, and like he said it happened 🙏

Yup, I am from IIT and insecurities like these did not cross my mind at all. The focus was to learn what was being taught in Kota and do well in exams. Focus on the process, the results will take care of them.

Most of the candidates aim IIT without any purpose.
I personally was forced into giving JEE, because there was a propaganda that if you dont get CSE in IIT, you will get into poverty.
That was the only reason I forced myself to prepare for IIT, but couldn't take it after 4 months.
I felt that if I would've done something else at that time, I would have felt validated while also working for a sustainable future.
Trust me, if you are in this race not by yourself then you will soon quit, it is not going to be sustainable. If you are by yourself, then good luck.

Bro , one who is whole heartedly preparing for iit, isi , cmi , neet, may loose most of his friends and a part of joy from his life for 2-3 years but guys after clearing the exam when you will get the result and will see your name written on the selection list , it will give you a next level of feeling. I have experienced it. Your work will pay off. So compromise with every thing for this exam because the success after the selection will give you the sense of relief that you won't get anytime in your life .

Every student is intelligent in his own way, first of all mugging skills are not the only best skill of a human. Moreover I've seen a lot of my intelligent friends excellent in maths getting into IITs but going down the drain by getting the same old finance jobs .. whats the point of all the struggle then. Granted IIT is more difficult than MIT or Harvard but still it is MIT and Harvard and other foreign institutions that are producing good research scholars and Nobel laureates. What is the use of having a difficult entrance exam if you can't even contribute to the development of modern science? I know funding by the government is also a big factor, which is mostly lacking in India, but still no good work is being done here. Most IItians just think about getting lucrative jobs, and the ones who are talented go and settle in foreign countries. We need to build this country and I don't see how that's gonna happen.
Absolutely correct .. no IIT is even in the top 200 universities of the world .. only 3 IITs in top 500.. AIIMS is not even in top 500 .. you will not see the toxicity of COACHING CLASSES in first world countries … killing a child’s youth only in the name of an entrance exam is the worst ..
Not every engineer is meant to be a Nobel laureate. Not everyone becomes an engineer to “contribute” to science. According to you only contri to science is if people discover new things. But contribution is also there when some engineer helps with things such such as electricity and robotics. If everyone becomes Laureate who will run the countries internet, space tech, electricity, IT? U are having same mentality as those who say that every child should be a businessman. But aisa nhi chalta. If there are businesses, there should also be people working in those businesses. They deserve as much respect as businessmen.
😂 How deceptive, MIT is infinitely harder ESPECIALLY for people like us, not from the U.S.A. We need Olympiad medals, lofty curricular records, near perfect SATs, elegant SOPs. The most poetic part is that even with all this it's still not assured whether they'll accept or not.

Well... I can remember my jee days I cleared Mains in 12th but could not clear advanced then I took drop simultaneously appeared in Nda exam and cleared but failed in SSB interview on the 5th day. I again appeared in JEE but cleared advanced with low score but I joined NIT. Now I miss my own energy at that time!!

If no. of applicants increase the no. of of students that will still be selected will be around 4000. Its the overpopulation of India that makes IIT tougher to go to. (I agree getting into IIT is not a piece of cake. Mujhe bhi nahi mila 😅)

Season 2 of Kota Factory was made way more dramatic. Netflix ruined this beautiful and realistic representation of JEE aspirants. This scene is wrong at so many levels.
No this scene is true, the amount of pressure stress and anxiety a dropper hold is portrayed over here, espcly the thought of giving up before even appearing because of the fear of failing again. The struggle between giving up and fighting back can never be conveyed...
It is not true that anyone is born iit jee material.Only mediocres pretend for that things , they can't achieve.But it is true that why iit?
