I watched the full video from start to finish, you think a bloke in a ghillie suit can glide around a forest with no light in the pitch black?? Don't think so!
You heard wood knocks that echo around the forest warning other of your presents, thats common along with the feeling of anxiety installed within you.
When you were camping out didnt you hear something bipedal out there with no light again??
Watch Facts on how to hunt on TH-cam, that man has lived in the deep forests of Canada for over 250 days a year for a few decades being a professional hunter, if you dont believe me just listen to his knowledge and encounters that pour into him.
There was an encounter from the Howgills up in the lake district in the last few days from an ex military men that was interesting to say the least, as well as countless other from the UK and around the globe.
Good luck, stay safe and keep your head on a swivel........and as you've said, always listen to your sixth sense, it knows more than you realise!

@mikearmes9327 Thank you very much for your comment.
I don't quite know what is going on up there.
It is definitely not great it's quite annoying aswell.
I can understand the fact that it's difficult to navigate the wood and further forest, especially at night with no light.
I don't think they have Night vision equipment on as it don't look like that in the footage.
There would be a bulky mass in the front of the face area, also a IR light would show up on my cams.
I appreciate your opinion and also recommendation on the other channel's.
I'll have a look into it and keep a fairly open mind.
      I'm still not sure.

He had a How to hunt channel for yrs and never mentioned Bigfoot until he got tired of so many asking the question if he had seen him. So he finally broke down and told his story . Now in the last 3 yrs he has gotten over 15k emails of people telling their encounter and he reads them. He's gotten emails from every type of person and profession you could imagine, military , ex military, law enforcement, wildlife rangers of all sorts , scientist , government scientist of the whistle-blower variety and just regular folks. Me and a couple of mates used to go out at night rampaging through woods and on the moors. It was a regular thing. Peak District area north west Sheffield.
Little torches were only used when we stopped to skin up😂.
We would bash through Rohdedendrons down to a Beck, go up the Beck on the rocks or clambering through trees, bushes and Rohdedendrons, go up through the woods on to the moors and then come down a different Beck and bush bash.
Absolutely brilliant fun! Did it for years till my mid 40s.

In the UK? It could stroll into the village pub for a pint! The UK just is not that big or sparsely populated. I can understand people saying these things might exist in Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, and other places like that. Those places are so vast and inaccessible that yeah, who knows, there could be something undiscovered living out there. The UK is just far too small. Almost all of the rural land is used for agriculture and you're never far from people. If there were such things as Bigfoot here, they would be getting spotted all the time.

I alway aware of my surroundings you never going to be completely prepared for every situation but you can prepare yourself to be well equipped also . @markcoleman7368 That's good you don't get anxious while camping but if you have got all that you should be well safe to a degree.
I have got a couple of proper rifles and a 9+ 1 mossberg maverick pump shotty.
A gun is for hunting for me in the United Kingdom but I could see a good reason for one as protection in the states ect.
Plenty of things to bite your head off in the forests over seas.
I see why you would feel a tent is a disadvantage but I think it's part of the experience and a hunter gatherer sort way in this modern world.
Sadly we do have some loons running around on the earth but if it come down to it I got 17 stone of fight in me.
An if necessary absolutel necessary I've got an axe if I'm at some disadvantage.

The guy maybe has an aluminium baseball bat or something he may be hitting against trees, maybe to help guide him in the darkness when he can't see where he's going. That you've heard/seen things several times, its almost certainly the same person and he's probably living there. Maybe go looking for his spot in the daylight as he's probably begging during the day outside some supermarket and what you heard could've been him going back to his spot. Anxiety is natural when you're in a tent with no window and no weapon. But i like that you are very honest about it. I respect that. I think possibly this time he didnt see the tent. If it was me i would get an aluminium baseball bat and some night vision goggles to even up the playing field, so you're not always having to react to what he does. But i agree with the guy who said set up camp and leave a light in it and then hide out waiting and watching. It could be local homeless, it could be illegal immigrants, it could just be someone who can't function in society. Either way it involves mental illness and unpredictability. But trashing your work is sign of him being territorial, to get you to leave.

The rise and fall gait is really interesting and a known trait of the North American Sasquatch. Either someone has practiced that gait and mastered it (not easy), or, this is a real deal. Arm length checks out on body ratio.
In the UK? I don't see why not. They are pretty much everywhere else.

G'day Karl, so many people are afraid of the night, and they let their fears overtake them. I take people into the mountains and give them the 'nighttime' experience We go into the forest just on dusk and are out walking for at least 6 - 8 hours and we turn off our torches and just sit in the dark. We do this many times during the evening and it shows them that there is nothing to fear. It helps some people but not all people. The NZ bush is very dense and even during the daytime it can be quite dark and foreboding and being so huge, we don't have people in monkey suits hanging around, they probably wouldn't have the energy or fitness to go the places we go. Enjoyed the video ATB Cheers from the mountains of NZ ☺☺

Not so sure .. Sasquatch is my thing I've got a few issues with it being one... the size , tracks, tree break's, what kind of food is in that particular forest..most Sasquatch in the UK you'll find are in heavily forested areas miles from civilization.. you'll never find a territorial Sasquatch near civilization only if their passing through smaller forests to use as go betweens at night and they'll follow disguised river beds and canal's to travel around the UK.. this doesn't seem to be passing through.. I'm guessing it's a person whose took up residence in that forest unaware it's owned by someone. And just trying to scare anyone who camp's there... popular places for Sasquatch in the UK are forests in mod land simply because civilians don't go there..my first sighting was on exercise in the army near Stone in Staffordshire 30 yrs ago.. camping with my rottie in the West country I wont say where but he attacked something growling near us I lost him for two hours found him covered in blood but not his.. then five years ago on my way to work saw one crossing the road from forest to forest about 100 yards away but vanished when I got close in the car. I would love to investigate this place though.

I was just about to say the same thing. It is Big foot and we do have them in the UK. I would love to see you in the same position as you caught it on camera. How much tall does it seam to be compared to you? Those wood knocks are to let you and anyone else that they know you are there in their area. Please put more trail cameras up to see how often they are being in that area. Is it daily? Weekly? On camera you hopefully will be able to see if there is only one or if it is a family? How big are those woods? Look forward to seeing more of your video's and if you manage to get them again on camera?

For a similar solo tent try the Tarptent MOMENT DW. It is FAR faster to set up and will not let the inner tent get wet when setting up or tearing don in rain or wet snow. The inner tent can be attached to the fly AT HOME. (You can also use it "fly-only" by detaching the inner tent clips. With the optional Crossing Pole you can use it in high winds and heavy snow. Yeah, it's "Made in USA" so import duties for the UK will likely be 25% of the tent cost. :o( It has 2 doors and 2 vestibules. entering or leaving the tent dows NOT let rain come in.

Also I can’t imagine that they didn’t see your tent if you are in there with a light on. It would of been like a beacon to them in the woods yet they still came and made their presence known even though it was raining. Very strange. I had no explanation for how he or she just strolled along.
I have got out for a piss in the night before an almost broke my ankle.
Hopefully that's the last of it, but if it's a tramp of sorts Hopefully they move on.
I'm going over the weekend to sweep through some of it (Day time)
      👍🏻

The area looks pretty wet and should make it easy to locate boot prints or whatever prints.

You need a very good flashlight for in the dark, like the Fenix TK16 V2.0 , a lot of light 💡 and a strong stroboscoop. Some good pepper 🌶️ bearspray. For protection. Perhaps also some fishingline around you’re tent ⛺️ a few feet away. Just my idea 💡 greetings 👍🤩🙏🐕🙋🏼‍♂️🇳🇱🇩🇪

Some of this I've already done though.

I appreciate your comments thanks so much 🙏🏻

Noises sound different when recorded but that wood splitting sounded like a deer stamping its feet as an alarm to your presence.

Had a very similar situation 1 year ago in a German forest that had the same vegetation. It was January and I did my first solo overnighter. At around 8pm i heard banging on wood maybe 200m away. Like an arm sized stick banging against something wooden. It sounded just like in your video. At first I thought maybe somebody is splitting wood, but it was already dark and I couldn’t see any lights around me. Next idea was maybe hunters try to scare wild boars out the bushes or something. In fear I could get shot I turned on my headlamp to max and tried to make my self noticeable. But the knocking continued for another 1 1/2 hours. I scanned through my surroundings with my light, but couldn’t see anything moving. The weird thing was, that the knocking sounds changed positions. Like if someone was trying to communicate. What or who could make these sounds? I can’t imagine any animal could make anything like that. I was pretty much on edge for the rest of the night, but could manage to get a bit of sleep. No interruptions with strange sounds or anything. Just foxes, owls and other birds. About 1 week later I stumbled across some big foot stories (I’m a sceptic).A lot of people tell about similar sounds in the woods and that made me thinking. Before my overnighter I heard/read nothing about big foots. Maybe I get myself a wildlife camera and set it up in those woods just to see if I can capture anything strange.
Stay safe folks. Carry something with you to at least protect yourself from crazy people.

NOTICE Karl - The subject is using no light source to navigate.
Have you completed a size comparison on the subject images?
It got quite a large gate in it's walk. There are two Karl, not 1.

Yes mate my thought was the same, day time I can say is possible but night time good luck seeing.
How it dose just walk off I don't know, an the trail cam would pick up IR from night sights ect.
It's a bit of a debate but strange for sure.
Size I estimated it to be about 4 inches on me so 6,3 ish.
Hard to tell as the ground is up and down.
No tracks though that I could see but weeks have obviously passed.

So wet in there should be possible to track him, keep looking down especially when you step over things blocking a trail he will have to step in the same place. Rain washes them out so immediately after rain is a good time to see fresh tracks. One thing know your own shoe print.

It's gonna be one of your subscribers lol. Only kidding, well I hope so anyway.
Do you have any thermal sights or handheld NV cameras? The darkness always exaggerates everything, either get some vision or rig the place with floodlights that you can spring on. Would be great to see who this is and see you build your cabin. What do you hunt in there?

    • @welcome2thewoodsuk
      @welcome2thewoodsuk  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

If it is that would be really disturbing in a creepy way.
I got some night vision for hunting an the binoculars but the magnification is high even short range they go like 300yds.
I was possibly thinking of getting a decent solar powered 360 camera with a Internet connection chip.
24hr surveillance then but one big but there some money .
Might have to do a bit more plumbing to get the right one.
That's the way forward though your right more cameras ect.
I will go back in a week and take my aussie canvas swag and keep abit more out the way.
Got some catfish line I might go Charlotte's Webb around the place.
      Any way cheers mate

I would agree but it's in a maze of cover even in the strong winds you can't feel a breeze.
Also it had the heavy end in the air?
Surly the heavy end would of been south side.
