- Out for a winters wild camp in a woodland IV been wanting to get back to for a while.
Rebuild the fire wall and try out a new tent.
But I was disturbed in the night that put me on full alert!
I did find out what it was in the end.

it's funny how voices carry in the woods
Yeah that's all it was really lol just freaked me out a bit.
I giggled when you said it's probably a couple doing what you are doing, you are probably right. Made me think, a couple stumbled across your camp at some other time, came back to use it, the same time as you. They camped somewhere near by knowing you were there, came to have a nosey to see who had stolen their planned camping spot. OR the ghost of Old McDonald and wife searching for their lost ghost cow 😁🤣
Lol possibly. But it was strange still hearing those noises the next morning. But I did find out later that there is a holiday place nearby, maybe it was from the, sounds traveling.
Eh up Rick, funny that ,I was out last weekend , similar except there was one shot very close to where I was set up right pain had same thoughts about who it was, I was right out not near anything , same as you thought would get no sleep so packed up and got out. I filmed it all as well' always best to go with instinct all best Will

My first wild camp by a babbling river in Wales I could hear voices like from a radio. Then in the morning womens voices . I think ones imagination can try to make sense of what we hear and turn it into something else . It was really weird. Anyway I survived the night.

Yeah very strange. I wouldn't of got any sleep so thought I might as well leave.
me and my hubby used to wild camp quite often we stopped 2 yrs ago after i was woken by footsteps n our firepit being kicked around 3am i lay quite listening assumin it could just be a fox then heard mens voices whispering woke my hubby n told him he listened n heard them, luckily our dog is reactive and will growl with threat at our command so i just whispered go get em and he was up growling my hubby shouted hes a big dog so piss off while u can . he got up n shined his torch out the tent n saw 3 men running away. what the hell they were doing hanging around our tent for at that time ive no idea but would never wild camp again after that will only ever stay on a actual campsite now safety in numbers many have cctv .

The downside of being in n a country with strict firearms laws, in the USA we got dat steel wit us baby and just continue our night with the steel close at hand, steel toterz of America baby!

You could have put logs around your tent to stop the wind water etc as for the voices could be foxes mating duck swans or geese waddling about as for anything else if it's part of southern way could be spirits then you need your bible and lords prayer
I wondered if you were going to make a video out of this odd camp, in the end it was good one and as you said it could have been a couple of folk doing exactly what you were doing but without a camp fire, you did the right thing mate.

why bring that tent if its not reliable and itsa pain and you dont like it not a good start to the campout there are so many nice new beers i sometimes wish i could try them alas im not allowed alcahol i like the way you do the fire the bangers look yummy but i dont like mustard but love picklelilly thats strange huh fluff out the tumble dryer makes a good fire starter the wind can make a sound like someone moaning can be very creepy like sumit out of a horror film are you near any houses maybe someones messing with you rather you than me dont blame you for bailing safety first dude oh dear better luck next time thanks for sharing

You should carry a couple motion lights with you and place them around your camp. If someone or something walks past it, it should set off the light. Just a thought. Enjoyed the video.

Eastern Euro's poaching/trapping.
They'll catch and eat anything. Badger, Squirrel they've even been caught eating Swans in my part of Wales.
Should also perform a discreet recce around the circumference of your camp.
I don't know if the problem is native to my part of Wales, but again, you'll often find Eastern Euro types sleeping in the woods. Usually Romanians with a bit of old builder's Visqueen and a shit load of alcohol 😂

It's funny, but I watch all these people (including yourself) all eager to do wild camps as well as share their adventures on TH-cam, but to be honest what does anyone expect? There are already limited areas in the UK to camp and all these videos just make it look so elusive that anyone would want to get out and do the same. Then when two people end up finding themselves camping next to one another, it's always the TH-camr then complaining that someone else has got the same wild camping bug they caught, probably watching another TH-camr!

A heard a woman crying once got up couldn't see anything got back home went a 2nd time got woke again at 4 in mornin with noise of something at my rubbish bag which was hung up and 3rd time woman crying again again a said bigger this up nothing there got packed and went home 3 times woken at same place
