I would love it if EJ manages to get 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 1 step further in the WC next year v 2019...but I just can't see it happening. 2019 was EJs peak...and he/we failed at the final hurdle. Pride (and a shortsighted RFU) has kept him in the role. I don't blame him for giving it a final shot...he wants to win the WC desperately...but he isn't utilising all the best English players now...because they don't fit his system...and instead he is holding onto older players past their best because they do fit.
Ultimately I think he will give a good go...we may even do well in the 6N and then reach the SF of the WC. But we aren't going to win under his management.
