    Great to see Eddie understands the fans so well!
    We absolutely love these series, Rising Sons was as much a part of watching the World Cup for me as the actual matches.
    Keep up the brilliant work and thank you for letting us get to know the team and their character better.

      I respect those opinions but it does seem to be a bit much. England had one bad away match at France. Since then three wins in a row the triple crown tied for first Six Nations after four rounds still not good enough for some folks.

    @11:55 welsh player taps Itoje in the nuts. Not a sexual assault, not a 24 week ban, just a funny gesture from one player to another with no offence intended or recieved.
    Nice of the England media team to include that. Makes a point very nicely I think.

    • @thetotallyunrealofficialde9300
      @thetotallyunrealofficialde9300 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Have you considered the context difference. Itoje and Tompkins are Saracens teammates and Tomkins was shown hugging Jamie George so he is probably very close to the Sarries members. Also this is at the end of the game Tompkins isn’t doing this to piss off itoje and its a split second of contact. Contrast this with the Marler incident where Marler and Wyn Jones don’t seem to be friends and he is very clearly crossing a line. I really do like Marler, but I don’t understand how anyone can view his actions as appropriate conduct especially for a professional athlete. However, I haven’t followed up with his citation, but I think a 24 week ban is a bit too harsh, he deserves the minimum amount of time in my opinion.

      The totally unreal official Deadpool I agree with pretty much everything you say, and when I watched the match live I commented that he’s probably going to get a red card for that as it’s clearly dick grabbing. IMHO the officials pretended they hadn’t seen it as they didn’t know how to deal with it so just thought let it go. I just wanted to highlight (as the england media team did also) that this kind of thing goes on an awful lot, and nobody really cares. The main issue with this stuff, is that while it doesn’t offend or bother any of us, if the RFU don’t act on it, then who will we blame when the under 13s start doing it to each other at local matches. It’s right that’s somethings been done, but let’s be realistic about how much it goes on.

    • @somanytakennames
      @somanytakennames 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@MiniMatthew
      And yet AWJ clearly was not happy with what Marler was doing. The fact that he said afterwards; "If I react, I get a red card" implies that he wanted to retaliate but didn't as it would have resulted in the team being a man down. It's interesting that the person at the receiving end of it seems to be getting just as much criticism as the JOe for being unhappy that his genitals were fondled without his consent. I don't think Joe is an inherently bad person but the "it's just a joke" reactions towards what happened is a clear indication of how society as a whole does not take the sexual assault of men as seriously as it should.

    So much hype, so much hope, and close but no cigar in the last world cup. It comes down to results in the end doesn't it, beating two top teams on the way through and then a collapse at the end. Eddie shooting from the hip prior to the six nations and proclaiming he's going to make England the best team in the world...........but when. Admittedly all good things take time, but how much time do the Brits have...........one day at a time, one day at a time I suppose is the adage..............maybe the next world cup.......who knows.

      Paradoc. If you think fords bad you know way less than you think you do. The fact is at every single age-group, academy, national level George ford has been picked first by every talent identifying coach out there. He single handley kept Leicester from being relegated last year. His kicking, passing and tactical game are outstanding. Also defensively he’s surprisingly the best 10 in the 6 nations. Last year he had most tackles made, highest tackles percentage of any 10 in the 6 nations. I think if Eddie Jones a coach who has taken 3 teams to a World Cup final, thinks George Ford is the man for the job then I’m inclined to agree with him.
