The way we half tuck our shirts can make the world of difference to our overall look - how do you style YOUR shirts? Please do share below. Lots of love. Deirdre. XX
Sounds like my husband. I’ve informed him that when he puts on pants and a t-shirt, that’s where his style ends so I just can’t take his kind of advice!
Thank you, thank you, thank you Deirdre for this video. I've been working on a half tuck for months, but I always think I look ridiculous. I love all the variations. BTW, I love your sense of humor. You always make me chuckle. 😊
Thanks for bringing these techniques to my attention. I especially like turning up the sleeves but not to a larger bust line to give a elongated effect.
Being short, and having some oversized shirts, I'm always at a loss how to tie them. Your video was extremely helpful and I'll be using it when I practice tucking my shirts! Thank you!
Hello! Deirdre your videos are so helpful to me. You are so friendly. I love your hairstyle! I am 5’4” shortwaisted, rectangular shape. I side tuck my shirts into my midrise pants. You just grab the sideseam of one side of your shirt and slide it inside the side of your pants! The diagonal shape the shirt makes across your pants gives a bit of waist and a bit of neatness!
I'm so sorry to hear that. I have been here all the time! I'm not sure what TH-cam is doing at the moment as you are not the first person to say this. XX
Always, a source of information, and a Great lady ❤ every idea cares for all of us ladies to determine how it fits our style . Deidre, it's all about How you can always surprise us, the Next time
@@KApp57 that’s very kind of you, but I am, in fact 2 stone heavier than I was in my 30s and 40s. I haven’t had children, so I think that makes a difference to my belly. Xx
I've also seen some tucking methods that involve using the belt loops on your jeans but this seems impractical to me, since you have to redo it every time you go to the bathroom. Your suggestions are great! 😊❤
Good one! I have to say I’m not a fan of the traditional knotted front. I didn’t like it even as a teenager…I feel like Daisy Duke😂 However the last method you showed does not make me cringe like the other! I will definitely be trying that as a layer for the winter! Have a beautiful week Deidre and fans!
Très chic! 🤗 I must admit to using the tie method when I was 18 and 20ish……. (ahhh to be young again!). I somehow, accidentally used the bow method you described! (I hate anything looking half finished! lol 😉🤣) Thank you once again for some excellent ideas 🥂
After losing almost 30 pounds in 11 months ( which at 60 was not easy) I still have some belly due to my scar that goes from one side to the other. I will do a side tuck with certain pants that show my belly. Or i will gather inside my shirt at one side to make another effect that I like.
Lots of vids on TH-cam that’s how to “fold” the shirt with this creative button placement. Sorry to be so vague but I’m still figuring out how to button and fold my shirt :)
I totally get what you mean. However, sideways, the attention is also drawn to the back, where the shirt will hang out and therefore balance the front a little bit. XX
Sorry, but no, maybe in my younger days. I just had a seamstress come in and we went through my whole wardrobe. Oh and my husbands trousers so he looks like he might have his backside again. I can hear you laughing 😂. Trouble is I have very little to wear at the moment. Cant wait for her to return.
Deirdre, can you let us know your secret to having absolutely no estrogen belly? I couldn't get rid of it even when I got rid of all the excess weight.
I wonder if you can share facts about how one can determine the quality of a cashmere sweater, it's a true investment, especially in harsh cold weather. ( Who to trust on this ).
Hi there. I think if you are in doubt, select a brand that you trust and that you have had great experiences with before. If they are a quality brand with their items, the cashmere will be good too. I hope this helps. XX
"Business at the front party at the back" is the mullet haircut. Always a bad look in my opinion. Not a a term I'd want associated with my fashion look.
This stupid tucks would not be necessary if shirts still had darts and hugged the area from under boob to waist. The manufacturers did away with darts because they were more expensive to produce.

Deirdre that's a great tip about not rolling up the sleeves level with bustline when you are big in the chest. Never heard that before so thank you!
Glad it was helpful! XX
The opposite works for a small bust, if you want to emphasize that area.
Every time I do a half tuck, my husband tells me to tuck my shirt in. 😀
🤣

Tks for your comment❤
So does mine…
@suzannegabrielle You comment reminded me that not very long ago my husband asked me if I knew the back of my shirt was hanging out… 😄

I can’t make tucking in work for me on high waisted trousers. They have to be mid rise. ❤

Front tucks look great from the front if you have a tummy -but turn sideways and there it is. Ugh.

I wonder if you can share facts about how one can determine the quality of a cashmere sweater, it's a true investment, especially in harsh cold weather. ( Who to trust on this ).

What sweaters, make the tucked in shirt,, look best, bearing in mind shape,
Cover, contrast, fit...
Most cashmere do not specify quality, content and fiber sources.
