Hi. For non-pressure cooking, such as steaming, slow cooking etc, I find the Cosori lid a bit cumbersome, so I put it aside and use a glass lid instead. Cosori don't provide one but the Instant Pot glass lid - widely advertised - fits perfectly and has a vent hole through which you can insert a thermometer probe if you wish. Only downside is you have to find somewhere to store the glass lid when not in use.

I like the pressure cooker/slow cooker too but its been a very long time since i have used a PC. If my slow cooker were to give up the ghost i would get one of those cosori ones. Hi Susan, we use it mainly as a pressure cooker but the slow cooker option worked great. I’ve put our old slow cooker into hibernation 😂😂😂🥰😍😘❤️ it’s a cheap machine to run, the electric costs are always low.👍
I pay £3.99 at Aldi for 750 gr Graham I have one in the fridge right at this moment I didn't realise you could freeze them. I have done mine in Coke, also in Pineapple juice and in Apple juice. Then I glaze them with honey and mustard in the air fryer at 180C for 8 minutes. I love them and so easy to do. I have also cooked a gammon joint in my Cosori air fryer wrapped in tin foil and that was really good. Wrap it tightly in foil and cook for 25mins for 500 gr plus and additional 20 minutes at 170C. I have forgotten in the past to take the round seal off plastic doesn't slow cook well 🤣 Reminds me of someone not to far away forgetting to put jam in a Manchester Tart.
Hi Vince, the way you’re cooking them sounds great to me. Since we discovered the brown sugar method we don’t do it any other way. We tend to freeze these because we buy them and then changed our minds what to have for tea that week. I mentioned taking the wrapping off because I’ve left it on as well in the past. Looks good mate, my first attempt at pressure cooking meat went well, i did a 1.2kg beef brisket, put it on for 45 minutes, then natural release, it was great, carved well in full slices. Mate i have never really tried cooking veg in the pressure cooker, but must try. Could you please let me know the Amazon link to the trays for the pressure cooker. Tasty looking dinner Graham,does the sugar in the gammon give it a very sweet flavour or is it quite mild cos I like nice salty ham,I love new potatoes and I can't wait till May when they harvest our Ayrshire Tatties as we say up here,I wasn't a big fan of kale or broccoli but now I've started air frying them along with sprouts I absolutely love the crispiness of the veg,another great video guys 👍

@@grahamgetsabout2672 I only do the kale in the air fryer to make kale crisps for healthy snacks not really for a side veg like the broccoli,cauliflower or sprouts,cut it off the stalks and into crisp size pieces and put in a bowl to toss in oil and seasoning of your choice then air fry at 190 for 3 to 4 minutes giving it a we shake every minute or so till its nice and crispy to your taste,another great snack that Heidi loves is cooked pasta(she likes the bow tie pasta in butter) then season to your taste and air fry at 180 for about 6 to 8 minutes,give it a shake half way,it's so tasty and moreish,I like paprika on mine,it crisps up more as it cools

Hi Graham and Wendy, dinner looked lovely. Those veg baskets are really good and the size is spot on. I soaked my pressure cooker about a week ago. I cut three lemons up added a good sqirt of lemon washing up liquid and i poured some boiling water in and i put the lid on with all the baskets inside and left it for about five hours. When i opened it up you could hardly smell any veg smells. I used it Sunday gone and when i opened it up it still smelt ok. I'm going to do it again tomorrow. Graham would you do me a big favour, could you cook some veg and a sponge pudding on the steam setting. I'm not very good at doing things myself, i always worry i do something wrong. Where as if i can watch a video i know what i'm doing. I have tried looking on TH-cam but what comes up is the insta pot which is a bit different

Hello mate, mmm that looks nice I've never seen a gammon cooked in brown sugar before I've done gammon in Coca-Cola a few times that's nice, I've noticed over the years that when you slow cook it makes hardly any difference if its on high or low so i just leave it on high, there great little joints of gammon and so cheap, anyway great as always mate take care to you both 🍻👌👌👌👋👋👋👋🙏

Try the sugar mate it’s so good, we think better than the coke 👍👌while you’ve been hard at work we’ve been to a market. 1.25 kg x3 packs of butchers sausage for £10. Close to there date so I’ve frozen them. It made 11 packs of 6 👍 they’ve been good in the past. Look after yourself mate 👋👋👋👋👍

Hi Jools, I put the sealing ring in white vinegar in a frying pan in the garage with a pot in the middle so you use less vinegar. I’ve now found use a little more vinegar and put a lid on it is better. I would say soak for a couple of hours but i often forget it’s there 🤷♂️ I’ve read the sun helps but we’re not getting much of that. 😂😂😂😂👍 The gammon in sugar is really nice just give it a try 👌
Hi Nicola, after cooking the gammon the juice is all sugar and salt so Wendy won’t use it. We do use the veg water for the gravy. It makes the gravy much tastier. I thought I did show this. It’s amazing to me the little things I don’t film and don’t realise. I guess as you have, you can always ask. Thank you 🥰😍👍

Hi John, we bought one to use for veg. I then found two would fit meaning we could have potatoes in one basket and veg in the other. That was a game changer, it’s so much better with two, they both have dividers and we use them sometimes but as you see we love our veg so sometimes there’s no room to them in 😂😂😂😂👍

Hi Jools, I put the sealing ring in white vinegar in a frying pan in the garage with a pot in the middle so you use less vinegar. I’ve now found use a little more vinegar and put a lid on it is better. I would say soak for a couple of hours but i often forget it’s there 🤷♂️ I’ve read the sun helps but we’re not getting much of that. 😂😂😂😂👍
The gammon in sugar is really nice just give it a try 👌

Did you use the meat juices for the gravy? And then add veg juices? I couldn’t see what you did!
Hi Nicola, after cooking the gammon the juice is all sugar and salt so Wendy won’t use it. We do use the veg water for the gravy. It makes the gravy much tastier. I thought I did show this. It’s amazing to me the little things I don’t film and don’t realise. I guess as you have, you can always ask. Thank you 🥰😍👍

Hi Fran, it was really nice. Wendy doesn’t like her dinner going cold and she eats even slower than me. I used to think the electric usage for the pressure cooker wasn’t right but I’m getting used to it now. It’s very efficient👍

Just found one in your videos, but it has a 3 way divider in it, is that what you use, and not use the divider, if so i presume you need 2
Hi John, we bought one to use for veg. I then found two would fit meaning we could have potatoes in one basket and veg in the other. That was a game changer, it’s so much better with two, they both have dividers and we use them sometimes but as you see we love our veg so sometimes there’s no room to them in 😂😂😂😂👍

Well thst looks delicious, besides gravy, i complement my gammon with onion sauce and sage and onion stuffing, we also loke shredt white cabbage with our, Mmmm delicious. I could just have sat down and eaten that with you, i know Phillip would devour it 😂 💯✋💕👍💐
