The "aim for the bushes" then cut to the funeral might be the hardest I've ever laughed at a movie
In the blooper reel sam Jackson said "tuck and roll when you land" which kinda makes more sense but both still funny
and they completely missed it
In a slightly embarrassing moment, I saw this in the theater and I seemed to have understood what was about to happen before the people around me and I burst into tears laughing and made a fool of myself.
We used to have multiple situation when I played online with my mates, when we stood with our chars on top of buildings thinking what to do and then somebody yelled out "Aim for the bushes"...that never gets old
Michael Keaton is lowkey the best part of the movie. Him referencing the band TLC and not realizing it, was hilarious
I don't know what you're talking about.
You gotta creep... Creep
I don't want no scrubs
Ain't too proud to beg.
Don't go chasing waterfalls
"Aim for the bushes" is one of the greatest lines of all time.
and they missed it
Will Ferrell being married to Eva Mendes and treating her like she's some ugly, nagging old hag of a wife is one of my favourite bits in any comedy film. It's just so painfully absurd, and Mark Wahlberg's reaction to it all just has me in hysterics every time. That woman is just absolutely one of the most beautiful women in the world.
I love that Terry is immediately smitten with Sheila. "Why are you married to Alan?!"
Pretty plain really 😅
"Bye Sheila!"
yea, very funny🙄,Will Ferell alwa,s acting same character, except Ron Burgundy,as Melissa McCartey always the same.
Hysterical. Showed the movie to my husband for that bit and he didn’t think it was funny. But when Mark Wahlberg keeps saying “goodnight Sheila” over and over 😂
The joke about the Prius is that a "manly man" wouldn't drive a small "eco-friendly" vehicle. He would drive something with a large, gas-powered engine, just like the car that Samuel L. Jackson was driving during the beginning of the film.
I think there may also be a more subtle joke about the use of cars in Hollywood. Most action movies there's a couple obvious product-placement vehicles that are driven in astonishing ways, in an effort to promote them. They do that here, but while ruthlessly trashing the car physically (Dirty Mike, et al) and via dialogue (Marky Mark, et al).
Doesn’t have to be about manliness no human should be riding around in that golf cart
Yes. For anyone lacking media literacy this entire film is about toxic masculinity. Except for Michael Keaton he's just there to make us laugh.
😏They knew the whole time about the car, they just want to you guys to write in the comments, and it worked great for them👏👏
@@Elricateotyawn
"You probably think that because of the beard I'm really hairy, but you'd be wrong... Shaved." That part gets me every time 😂
the hand motion and all 🤣
Alan!
The number of times I quote that to a perfect stranger is absurd
He’s fucking hilarious in everything he’s in, stranger things, and netflixes “love” are the best
IT'S CHRISTINITH
I will add another comment here to say that you guys should absolutely watch Stranger Than Fiction. Will Ferrell putting a more dramatic spin on the type of character he plays in this movie, yet still allowing himself to be funny. A highly underrated and beautiful film.
One of my favorite films. I love everything about Stranger Than Fiction
Perfect film
And let's not forget his movie Everything Must Go. That was a dramatic turn for him, no?
Also did Winter Passing and a Woody Allen film Melinda and Melinda.
Oh my gosh PLEASE WATCH STRANGER THAN FICTION
This movie had no business being as freakin' funny as it is!
Saw it on a whim once and it floored me
one of the funniest movies in last 20 years.
I still quote this movie all the time, unfortunately nearly everyone has forgotten it and thinks I'm an idiot. I especially love quoting TLC lyrics serious and acting oblivious
@@IDiggPattyMayonnaise Don't be a creep....creep
"Goodnight Sheila! Go inside Alan... Goodnight Sheila!"
Terry's lust for Sheila is so funny to me. I was a little surprised he didn't try to take Alan out in the big shootout 😅
I still do that to my buddy and his girlfriend. (They know the context and go out of their way to react in kind. Sometimes we do it in front of people to catch their reactions. Good times)
The whisper fight scene is absolute all time...
God bless Michael Keaton for every comedy roll he has ever taken under appreciated comedic talent
I went to see the taping of one of the eleven show of The Mary Tyler Moore Hour. As a cast memeber, Michael Keaton did the warm up before taping. He was 21 years old and already brilliant. I've been a fan ever since. He truly seemed like a very nice person, and his interactions with the other cast members was fun to watch.
I know some other people already suggested this, but Stranger than Fiction is a dramatic role for Will Ferrell that is super underrated. I hope you react to it in the future!
I love that movie. Great suggestion.
preach!
"I bought you flours!" God, I love that movie..
I literally just commented this upon hearing George mention Will Ferrell's lack of dramatic roles.
I hadn't seen your comment yet.
It's my favorite movie of his.
Two great Will Farrell dramatic roles: Stranger Than Fiction and Everything Must Go. He’s a surprisingly great dramatic actor. Stranger Than Fiction is an especially great performance and one well worth you watching on the channel.
I love both those movies. Will Ferrel is underrated as is Adam Sandler. Don't believe me, watch 'Reign Over Me' with Adam Sandler.
You’re both the two rightest people in these comments.
I agree 100% especially with 'stranger than fiction'. It is an amazing movie.
Stranger than fiction is missed by a alot but that is really an amazing movie amd Will Farrell is amazing in it.
Hopping in here to also give a major thumbs up to Stranger Than Fiction. Definitely falls in cult classic territory, but would make for an amazing watch on this channel. The intro alone is super unique.
Man, Michael Keaton is such an underrated comedic gem. Perfect amount of campiness for this movie
Not underrated. He started in comedy. That's was the main reason for the uproar when he was cast as Batman in '89.
heh underrated I guess for the youth of today
His first role was in Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, which he also worked BTS.
@@Matt_Mosley1983 his breakout role was in the movie Night Shift. It starred Henry Winkler (the Fonz) but MK blew everyone away.
He is likely more unknown that underrated.@@hadoken95
“You shoulda shot A-Rod” is a line I always forget about until I hear it and idk why but it brings tears to my eyes every single time
Michael Keaton actually started out as a comedy actor. In fact, when he was cast as Batman, it caused a huge uproar. You should check out his first popular role in Night Shift.
Yes, Night Shift and Mr. Mom. Many quotable Keaton lines.
Many people consider the Prius to be both ugly and boring and early on attracted people who were viewed as smug about their environmentalism. So much so that South Park lampooned them as people who loved the smell of their own farts.
The Simpsons did a similar joke with the driver saying the car "is powered by my own sense of self-satisfaction"
I think it’s more along the lines that certain people see men driving them as giant pussies.
Yeah such a classic
Prius drivers do tend to be a bit jaggoff-y.
Environmentalists should be proud as they're good people, especially if they're parents. Looking out for future generations.
This is me and my husband’s favorite movie! We quote it almost every day since seeing it for the first time 😂 “I’m a peacock! You gotta let me fly on this one!!!”
The TLC running joke is one of my favorite bits in any comedy.
I don't know what you're talking about.
@@notabritperse I guess you never actually watched the movie then. Keaton's character kept throwing in lyrics from TLC songs while talking and acting like he had no idea what people were talking about when they called him on it. They didn't highlight the bit in their reaction but it gets funnier as it goes on.
@@popculturewatch8689 And each them they call the Captain out on his TLC references, he replies, "I don't know what you're talking about." Watch a little more closely next time, kid. Your "favorite" comedy bit deserves your full attention.
@@notabritperse I really don't know why people feel the need to call people they don't know kid on TH-cam. I didn't call it my favorite comedy bit. Its one of my favorites. I mistakenly thought you didn't know about the bit because they didn't really highlight it here. I didn't know you were playing along. My bad. You don't need to be a smartass.
@@notabritpersereally no need for the smart ass remark, but I guess this is youtube so go crazy!
Okay, I'll add to it: "Stranger Than Fiction" is my favorite Will Ferrell movie, and one of my top-five favorite movies. It is absolutely fantastic.
Stranger Than Fiction is Will Ferrell's semi-serious dramatic role and it's AMAZING. Please watch it
The thing with the Prius is that the joke is kind of a product of its time. It's a lot more accepted now. But back then you would have been made fun of for having one.
Another thing is Marky Mark's character wants to be an action hero and a Prius is the exact opposite of a badass muscle car.
i'm astonished they needed this explained to them, but then i remember they're canadian.
@@talasunI'm canadian and we all know the prius jokr, they're just stupid
Best line in the movie... "Aim for the bushes... "
If only George and Simone were listening...
and they completely missed it
The aggressive whispering during the funeral is the best 😂😂😂
If you enjoyed this you should consider "The Nice Guys (2016)" with Gosling and Crowe. buddy cop movie but in the 70's. A hidden gem comedy imo!
You're in luck, they reacted to it already!
Stranger Than Fiction, great film, and great acting by Will Ferrell.
I randomly saw this in the theaters and laughed so hard....such a random comedy gem
But, was it random?
If you want to see Will Ferrell in a very different type of role you need to watch Stranger than Fiction. It's an amazing movie.
I wouldn't say it's an amazing movie, but it is good and fun to watch.
"Aim for the bushes!!" 😂😂
There are so many quotable moments in that movie. It's ridiculously funny
and they missed it
I never tire of reactions to this flick. So many funny moments, especially the jokes with the car.
This is legitimately one of my favorite comedy movies of all time- I'm SO happy y'all reacted to this one!
Stranger than Fiction!
Will Ferrell's first drama role that is still hilarious yet somehow thought provoking with emotional depth.
It's one of the most unique and intriguing concepts for a film.
I was thinking about that. It's probably NOT what they were asking for as a serious dramatic role but still it'll give them a good taste of his dramatic performance.
I love this movie. I think Will and Mark are a great pairing.
The most serious Will Ferrell movie I have ever seen was “Stranger Than Fiction”
Yay,Stranger than Fiction suggested! Hopefully Patreons will hear our humble cries!
0:45 oh my goodness, watch stranger than fiction. One of Will Ferrell's best roles. Also, you could argue that even though he voices the bad guy in the Lego movie, he also plays the role of the kids dad pretty straight. And as a parent, that definitely pulled some heartstrings.
The closest I've seen Will Ferrell in a "serious" role was in the movie "Stranger than Fiction", which is a really great movie actually with an interesting premise: His character one day starts to hear his life being narrated by a voice, and we quickly find out that voice is from a writer that is just writing a novel and she has no idea she is writing a real person's life. (Not a spoiler since this is laid out in the movie trailer)
When I was homeless living in my car for a short time, a friend would always joke about me having a “Soup Kitchen” with Dirty Mike and the boys in my car
I love this movie, I think it really takes off when we meet Sheila and learn about Alan's past as Gator. I second a recommendation made elsewhere -- Stranger Than Fiction is a very nice change of pace for Will Ferrell.
I like how George's question gets answered like 60sec after he starts asking it.
Will Ferrell has done a couple serious movies, Everything Must Go and Stranger than Fiction are really good. There's apparently one from 2020 called Downhill that I haven't seen.
There they are! I knew there was more than Stranger than fiction but was drawing a blank.
Wahlberg & Ferrell's chemistry in this movie is top notch, cool reaction as always Simone & George, you both take care and have a nice day
Really surprised there aren't more reaction videos to Other Guys. I grew up in the 90s with Sandler and Jim Carrey. These guys can hang with the greats.
"you either get it or you don't"
I'm sad no TLC references were in the video. But I enjoy ANY reaction to one of the best comedies ever.
For anyone that likes cars, the Prius is legitimately the opposite of everything cool in a car, it's basically unseasoned boiled chicken of the car world.
Who would've thought Will Ferrell and Mark Whalberg together would be comedy gold?
Stranger than Fiction (2006 film) - is a relatively more dramatic movie with Will Ferrell. It is still a light comedy-drama. But Will Ferrell did an excellent job in it with a bit more dramatic role. He was actually nominated for a Golden Globe for it. I really like that movie. Again, it is not DRAMA as Schindler's List. But I don't think it is a full-on comedy
BTW . . . George . . . a somewhat serious role for Will Farrell is Stranger Than Fiction with Emma Thompson, Queen Latifah, and Dustin Hoffman. It's an amazing movie that I just love. Has it's funny moments, but makes me cry every single time I watch it. Possibly the best Will Farrell performance EVER!!! I think you guys would love this movie.
Loving the OMG counter.
Stranger Than Fiction. It is still a comedy, but it is the most serious role I have seen him in. It is also a top 10 favorite.
Stranger Than Fiction... FANTASTIC Will Ferrell movie... it's a drama with comedy and a unique story (on several levels *wink).
The guy screaming, "YES!" at the art show kills me everytime.
"Thats a lovely hat."
"I love your shoes."
Best scene in the movie
Will Ferrell in Blades of Glory!! He is super serious in that movie. 😂
Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite) and Will Ferrell team up in the best Will Ferrell movie in the history of forever!!
Great reaction. I'm pretty surprised you didn't show any of the TLC reference running joke. Keep up the great work. 👍
"I wonder if Will Ferrell has ever been in a serious role" before this movie came out he starred in Stranger than Fiction. That might be one for you guys to do on your channel.
“Stranger Than Fiction” 2006 is a Dramedy/ Fantasy genre film. The closest you’ll get to drama for Wil Ferrell.
This is going to be another great reaction! Props to CineBinge for reacting to this classic film!
They also stuck around for the end credits which were informative in this movie.
You mention liking comedy that doesn't wait for you to get the jokes. The other movie you said this about was The Nice Guys, and if you'd like another comedy in the same vein, then you must watch Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. Both movies were written by Shane Black.
This movie is so underrated and such a great film. The deadpan and seriousness of Mark makes me laugh so much. Lol
RIP Ray Stevenson , first saw him in the HBO series Rome and he never disappointed.
Thirteen!
Stranger than fiction. Will Ferrells best role ever. It's also my favorite movie of all time.
The whole Prius conversation might be the most Canadian thing ive ever witnessed. LMAO. To not even understand is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
The whisper fight and Keaton's part especially gets me every time.
The most serious role I have ever seen Will Farrell in was Stranger Than Real Life. It was a remake of a Danny Kaye movie in the 50's and was wonderful. Ben Stiller was also in a Danny Kaye remake called The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. These were both amazing remakes and you would probably like them both. In the 50's most people know Danny Kaye from movies like White Christmas opposite Bing Crosby. He was mostly in musicals and was in a bunch of other stuff besides White Christmas.
*Stranger Than Fiction
This is up there with Tropic Thunder for me.
This made me so happy to see posted today!!! Ugh, what a day... But yinz watching one of my favorite comedies REALLY helped me turn it around 😊 Thank you both, always 💕
This is one of my favorite comedies that is very underrated! So mamy throwaway lines that add to the overall hilarity, too. So glad to see y'all watching for the first time!
Everything Must Go is pretty good for serious Will Ferrell it’s a comedy but he’s serious.
Mark Wahlberg is actually solid in Four Brothers.. BIG RECOMMEND.
The "Im really hairy..Im not" joke is the best in the movie
SIMONE & GEORGE!! Out of all the movies Will Ferrell has ever done, the two closest you could consider dramatic roles would be…
Stranger Than Fiction (2006) or… Everything Must Go (2011)
Both deserve a watch & react
Prius was the first hybrid accessible to general population at a reasonable price. It gotten aaaaaaaaall the hate EVs get now, from a certain crowd, because it was first. The fact the first model wasn't all that great neither technologically nor design-wise didn't help, either.
And the joke kinda stuck to this day.
Four brothers was a movie that i forgot marky mark was in. i recomend it.
Fucking GREAT film. Tied for my favourite Mark Wahlberg film with Pain and Gain.
One of my favorite comedies. So many quotable lines & 100% a rewatchable movie
I have been absolutely loving the recurring OMG counter
Want a sorta serious Will Ferrell? Try Stranger Than Fiction. It's my favorite Ferrell movie
One of my all time favourite movies. Would love a reaction to this one. I think there's only a single reaction on youtube to Stranger Than Fiction...
Stranger Than Fiction is great. Definitely an underrated and underappreciated movie.
The part where he openly acknowledges the voice while brushing his teeth is one of my favorite movie moments. And then there's Maggie Gyllenhaal. I love that woman. Just something about her... Christina Ricci, Maggie Gylenhaal, Olivia Colman and to add, Ruth Wilson(Alice from Luther)
Stranger than fiction is a more serious role for will ferrel
"It looks like Scarface sneezed on your" one of the best lines
The Prius Joke: Consider that the SUX from Robocop is a caricature of what advertisers tell us the ideal American car is. Then realize the Prius is the exact opposite of that.
My favorite of the Will Ferrell/Adam McKay movies. It's just so goddamn funny!
If Simone doesn't think of comedy when she sees Mark Wahlberg, I'm going to guess she hasn't seen the Ted movies, which immediately makes me hope that they react to Ted and possibly Ted 2 one day.
And the Ted tv show that's coming out soon.
I need a marathon of The Bad Guys, The Good Guys, The Nice Guys and The Other Guys.
To answer the question of if Will Ferrell was in anything serious, he was in a movie called "Stranger Than Fiction" where he plays a pretty straight-laced and uptight role who has to come to terms with his inevitable death after he keeps hearing a narration of what he's doing that nobody else seems to hear.
And that's a pretty underrated movie and I think he should be considered for more dramatic roles like that.
The Prius thing is one of those really weird bits of american sub-culture, where caring for the environment and driving cars with good mileage is somehow emasculating. The Prius was one of the first really mainstream hybrids, hence becoming a symbol for this kind of idiocy.
It doesn't help that the exterior styling is relatively round, small, smooth, pinched etc. More recent EVs have been bigger, more futuristic, elegant, or aggressive looking, partly in response to the Prius's bad rap.
It was also an absolutely horrendous looking vehicle, stylistically
As a car guy, I never thought the Prius was so much emasculating as it was just slow and boring to drive. The interior is really plain and almost sterile looking, the exterior looks like a cheap low-end sedan. It’s the automotive equivalent of the color beige.
@@kenny240ahh, that's a good reason to keep climate change happening. When your grandkids are asking why you contributed to the ruining of the planet say "the alternative was to plain"
This. Most of the bad rap the Prius gets is that it was plain, ugly, boring, slow, and just generally not enjoyable to own. When you consider that even a basic sedan in the US is advertised as exciting and frantic, the Prius basically had ONLY the environmental considerations going for it.@@t.c.thompson2359
On the crime data at the end, it's worth noting that the director of this is Adam McKay, the same director that went on to do The Big Short (another movie you should 1000% watch if you haven't already).
"Allen's rant about lions and tuna was completely improvised by Will Ferrell."
I love the movie "Stranger than Fiction" with Will Farrell. It is drama and recommended for book lovers
How have you guys not seen this one yet?! You're going to love it.
@14:32 George, Trading Places, the scene where Dan Akroyd's character goes to that rich sports club to ask his "friends" for help.
Allen's rant about lions and tuna was completely improvised by Will Ferrell.
“Aim for the bushes” My wife and I have seen this a couple dozen times. Our fav comedy of all time.
"Gator needs his gat you punk ass bitch." So many lines in this movie just cracks me up every single time🤣🤣
Stranger than Fiction is pretty much a serious roll for Will Ferrell. It's my favorite movie of his.
“Wow, your hair is really soft!”
“VO5 HOT OIL!!”
😂😂😂
My grandmother used that stuff all the time
In the DVD extras, Michael Keaton's bed, bath, and beyond speech goes on for about 15 minutes. "Please, please. Stop talking about your near death experience on the Staten island ferry. That white light shit, that just scares people. That's not what the beyond means, we're talking about bed, bath, beyond like down the hallway in the utility closet, not like in other lands not like the afterlife " 😂
I have a big laugh when he offers “2 tickets to Rock of Ages. I know it’s not very good…but” That actor stars in Rock of Ages.
The first time I saw this, I couldn’t stop cry laughing. Hilarious.
"I am a peacock! Ya gotta let me fly!" was forever etched in my brain when I rented in from Blockbuster.
Forgot this movie was that old
This movie is huge in my family. We quote it all the time!
A lot of the movie was filmed in our neighborhood (Greenwich Village)
you guys DEFINITELY should do "Stranger Than Fiction". Will Ferrell is MOSTLY serious, and does a good job, but for me, the first bit was still me waiting for him to explode and break out of character haha. Great premise..you guys will probably like it IMO
