    Got around to seeing this one and excited, not just about having a new wing option to make for our hunting camp, but for the homemade lemon pepper seasoning to use on all sorts of things! Just a heads up for anyone making the seasoning according to the recipe… lemons here are $1ea (during summer, down south bordering FL where lemons are local even) and the amount of ground zest 8 lemons (I had one already before buying the other 7) yielded about 2.5 tablespoons. Doing the math, that’s 8 bucks just for the zest alone. 😳

Only differences are that I use drumsticks not wings, I use more garlic and I soak my chicken in lemon juice over night to marinate before cooking in the lemon pepper butter. I have made them for parties and seen guests fighting over the last one more than a couple of times. Total winner.

    Zaxby’s “Hot Honey Mustard”. It’s a spin on a Carolina Gold/Gold Fever wing sauce….which you don’t see on too many menus of independent wing places make, much less massive chains. The wings themselves are okay… but I love that sauce, but as always would love to see a “but better” treatment of.

    Dopeness, now do the Louisiana Dry Rub. I tried so many recipes and nothing really comes close to what they sell, so would be interesting to see your take on it and give it a try to see if its matches or is better than what they make.

    $13.50 for 10 wings at Wing Stop. Vrs $30.50 at Josh’s. Extra everything equals extra money. Anyone can make anything more flavorful. But the cost sky rockets for business and therefore makes less sense for a wing stop to produce.

    Their "cowboys flavor" is by far the best. I love lemon pepper but prefer it wet. They have the original hot combined with the lemon pepper seasoning and it's amazing!

    The way he says "onion" always makes me laugh 🤣 That shiny colour of the crispy wings says everything ;) they look scandalously damn good while the purchased wings don't look flavorful at all!

    • @kyllie1234
      @kyllie1234 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      it’s the other way where i’m at. the b dubs wings here are flavorless small and dry. but the wingstop ones are hot (like fresh from the fryer), they’re huge, juicy, crispy, and have a lots of sauce/seasoning. it’s like they actually put effort into their wings.

    • @user-ts7pm7if2i
      @user-ts7pm7if2i 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s funny how it’s the opposite for many. It may be because the wing stop here is less than a mile from the Buffalo Wild Wings and opened last year, whereas our b dubs has been around for almost a decade? B dubs here just keeps adding flavors and their wings are always super fresh.

    there is such a thing that is called lemon pepper seasoning in a shaker from walmart, you know. no need for the lemon peel and all that. its the same process but cut out the working bit and just skip to the final product,

  • @danielbolin2361
    @danielbolin2361 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just in case anyone wants to know what the wingstop recipe is...it's just "butter" sauce (oil) and lemon pepper seasoning from a big container like you can get at the store. That's literally it.
    Also, mild is just original hot mixed half n half with that same "butter" sauce.
