Got around to seeing this one and excited, not just about having a new wing option to make for our hunting camp, but for the homemade lemon pepper seasoning to use on all sorts of things! Just a heads up for anyone making the seasoning according to the recipe… lemons here are $1ea (during summer, down south bordering FL where lemons are local even) and the amount of ground zest 8 lemons (I had one already before buying the other 7) yielded about 2.5 tablespoons. Doing the math, that’s 8 bucks just for the zest alone. 😳

If you have a homebrewing store near you, they will almost always have citric acid. Also, in a lot of big box stores (Meijer, Walmart, etc) the citric acid may be with the canning equipment instead of the spice aisle!
Here's a tip: You can also leave lemon skin beforehand on your radiator or whatever heater you use, it will last longer but the flavor will remain almost intact, plus your home will smell nice. The only downside, of course, is being limited to cold days/seasons only.
Air Fryer version for those who want: Same recipe, but for the cooking, throw them into your air fryer for about 13 minutes, drizzle a little oil (Or no oil, but the oil gives it that deep fried taste) and toss halfway through the cooking process.

So I don't think we have Wingstop here in England (not sure, I rarely eat fast food) but this recipe is almost identical to one of my favourites. there is such a thing that is called lemon pepper seasoning in a shaker from walmart, you know. no need for the lemon peel and all that. its the same process but cut out the working bit and just skip to the final product,
Just in case anyone wants to know what the wingstop recipe is...it's just "butter" sauce (oil) and lemon pepper seasoning from a big container like you can get at the store. That's literally it. Also, mild is just original hot mixed half n half with that same "butter" sauce.

I work at wingstop, and I was ready to be like oh hes gonna say it sucks like everything else. (which i know IS NOT TRUE, at least for my location) but wingstop is a corporation AND franchise so the experience from store to store can vary wildly unfortunately.
glad to see something ive actually been putting my time into religiously being praised by a person I admire so much 😁
It’s nice to see him not completely hate on a place I like
there is such a thing that is called lemon pepper seasoning in a shaker from walmart, you know. no need for the lemon peel and all that. its the same process but cut out the working bit and just skip to the final product,
Just in case anyone wants to know what the wingstop recipe is...it's just "butter" sauce (oil) and lemon pepper seasoning from a big container like you can get at the store. That's literally it.
Also, mild is just original hot mixed half n half with that same "butter" sauce.
flavors aren’t limited maybe where you live josh but we have multiple things to choose from and even some creative things in Louisiana
Imagine Joshua X Wing stop, all wing stop gotta change is the seasoning, the way they make them crispy is really good and stay hot
