  • In this episode, TeamMike is off to Vietnam to celebrate Memorial Day. In our pursuit of influencing others to travel, we believe that getting outside your comfort zone and meeting people that doesn’t share your values is paramount. The late Anthony Bourdain, once said, "If you're twenty-two, physically fit, hungry to learn and be better, I urge you to travel - as far and as widely as possible. Sleep on floors if you have to. Find out how other people live and eat and cook. Learn from them - wherever you go." At TeamMike Adventures, we believe that regardless of age and level of fitness, you can get out and learn how other people live, eat, cook, and laugh. In this episode, we take you along with us as we visit Long Bien Bridge, take a street food tour through the streets of Hanoi, visit the West Lake and Trans Quoc Pagoda, Hoa Lo Prison (aka Hanoi Hilton), Temple of Literature, and Hoan Kiem Lake and the serene Ngoc Son Temple.
Between 1955-1975, 285,000 US and Allied troops gave the ultimate sacrifice for democratic values. TeamMike decided to take our next adventure to the location where the military command and control against the Allied Forces was centralized, the capital city of Hanoi.
Immediately after landing in Hanoi, the first thing that I noticed is that the economic engine is churning.
