If you play this as a house, I think you'll need to put a regular door out somewhere to be set as the front door, or else visiting Sims will wander in and knock on the bathroom door. And if you visit the house, you won't be able to knock. I built a tiny home with an archway for the front door, so I thought I would share.
I highly doubt that James will ever read this but for everyone else's information: If you give your Sim a music type to like, and then play that type while they do boring things like reading Herbilism books or doing homework, they will gain a massive fun boost from the music.
I kept wondering why he didn't do this and just make an ourdoor area for both kitchen and dining so the inside would have more space for something else and not need that table.

The only thing I would recommend adding is a workbench, so you can increase your handiness and then upgrade the bed and appliances. It also would explain where all the “handmade” stuff came from.
I wish Growing Together added the slide and pole as separate objects that you could attach to builds in addition to having them as upgrades. Then we could slide from the first floor to the second! And make our own playground equipment.
I am pretty sure I’ve used that exact tree for a tree house. I sized it up, and made the house part very high up, it took two ladders to get there. It looked more like a tree blind (like one used for hunting or photography) than a tree house for a child, but it was perfect for my runaway tree. The most frustrating part - if you were viewing up at it from the ground, the white “ceiling” really stood out. I wish you could customize ceiling colors in the Sims.
My mom had a boyfriend who was an architect. And when he was a teenager he had a treehouse with plumbing and electricity, which I imagine looked a lot like this.
I was thinking adding visible plumbing for the toilet could be a cool addition. For that you could use the vertical pipe from the industrial loft kit by placing it below the toilet. If there's not real plumbing, maybe you could add a compost pile under the treehouse around the bathroom area (and a trash plant for the unpleasant aroma, if you wish to add extra challenge to living in a treehouse).
@@clarebo You can use a sales table outside to store food in. It's a bit annoying since you have to manually drag the food you want to eat out of its inventory (and it takes up quite a bit of space, too), but it keeps food fresh at least as long as a fridge. I've been using the Jungle Adventure table in off-the-grid houses for a while now since it fits the aesthetic really well.
You can actually upload it as a room without having to remove the walls. This is a trick builders use to upload apartments. You remove the wall, then rebuild the missing piece elsewhere and move it back into place. That way the room doesn't get auto completed and you can trick the game into viewing it as a single room.
Ahh, that's brilliant for apartments.. I don't think it would have worked for this build though since part of it is outside the lighting would be messed up.
I always just delete the wall behind each door. That way, the door stays and it's easiest to find which walls to replace, and they are blank anyways so just clone the wallpaper next to it!!!
Really like you build videos, I learn so much about things I didn't even realize you could do. Was blown away the other day when I watched you free place items off of the grid, mind-blowing. Had to go back and adjust some builds after learning that trick.
Love this! If you end up using this for Rye, please consider giving him a barbeque grill so that he can make thing other than microwaveable meals. Our king deserves some good food every now and then.
@@samanthakate2117 I think it would, because when you don't put anything on top of the mini fridge, then your Sims can use it for chopping and you don't need a counter. I didn't use it that way for a while, but I guess it was like that.
One of the super cool thing about TOOL is that you can Shift+T to open the mod, click on the tree so it's highlighted green, then click "scale" in the menu, and enter any value you want to size it up or down. That way you could make the smaller tree a tiny bit bigger than it is sized down but still smaller than the big tree. If that makes sense? Super cool to see you using TOOL! @@shesthebethest Same, but even the counters go into the wall! I just don't understand why these just don't place against the wall. Like how does putting it into a wall make any darn sense?!
