I just came up with an idea, while watching this, I thought this house would look good in Glimmerbrook too. Then again, it also would look good in Henford-on-Bagley with a different roof and made from stone. Why not create a challenge where you use the same house but make it for different worlds in the game. Such as Oasis Springs, you can give it a Spanish Style, while in Willow Creek, give it a large front porch and bay windows. And so on... Have it in at least 3 different worlds, but keep the general shape of the build, the same number of rooms, floorplan, and budget. How's that for a challenge?

Maybe add a color randomizer to the generator too? It can give you a couple, so you are challenged to use a color scheme that pushes your comfort zone too.
I think it should have an option for the type of sims you are making the house for. I know it has ages, but throw in for a vampire or plantsim, or a painter or chef. Because most of the time when I build, its for a specific sim or specific type of sim.
The randomizer gave me a family of 4 in a 38 tile tiny home, I cried so much 😂

I like that idea! but it would cool if that randomiser were to be optional as well, in case players want less restriction!
It has something like that, where the sims are "afraid" of a certain thing. Like sinks or windows and such

It is giving nostalgia and I love it.
That free-standing pillow is FOR move objects. Place it on chairs or couches or beds. But also, lean it against the front edge of a sofa, as if your Sim was gonna lean back against the sofa.
I'd love to see you style this with no budget!!
I wonder how much simoleons you'd save if you didn't put the flooring on the whole lot in the very beginning. Those floortiles under the house still count to the budget

My favorite pass-time lately has been using James’ random build randomizer to come up with a challenge for my husband, who has never played Sims, to do. 😅 He only gets a few phone-a-friends to ask for my help. And we are console simmers so watching him try to figure out the controls and seeing the way he does things has been glorious.
🤣🤣🤣 his last house ended up being a cult house where they worship aliens and the color orange.
Next up is going to be the tiny home randomizer. He’s gonna flip his lid 😂
Thats awesome! My hubby gives me "ideas", more like, can you do x? His latest to make a vampire and werewolf couple that dont end up hating each other. I mentioned the inter-pack gameplay. He is Satan...lol
idk why but cottage living has a wood *tone that almost perfectly matches the wood around this lot (and the bar lot right next to it) (edit: the tone matches almost perfect, like when in manage worlds you can't tell it's different, but the structure close up is different sadly. I'm lowkey upset they didn't just give us the dock wood with cats&dogs)

I just figured it out yesterday
The randomizer gave two builds which were so challenging for many reasons. The first was a 32 tile Batuu-styled tiny home but it had to fir an adult, young adult child and infant. The other was just from the random builder and it was for a simfluencer who loves holidays and hated pitched roofs. The budget killed me on this one because it was over 100k. Then end result look like something Clark Griswold would do.
First i thought you would create a church with this crazy roof. Definitly would Like too see you build one
The barn roof style homes are called Dutch Colonial style.
That one empty corner of the kitchen is just begging for a bin! Any bin 😂To be fair your priorities were pretty solid, at least there's an outdoor one! Coulda skimped on the reading chairs or deleted one but they're so cozy!
I really love the challenge builds, these are great to watch during my lunch breaks
For an additional challenge you can design your home around the random object (here: the bow) to make it harder :)
I absolutely *FEEN* for more build episodes, I could literally watch James for hours on ends for episodes like these and he automatically makes my entire day/night everytime he uploads
This was a trust the process kinda situation, but it turned out so good!

I am now inspired to make a tiny house boat that's more of like a retired boat renovated
the free standing pillow is for the arm chair and I believe couch that comes with that kit
I really like this build but I kept thinking that the couch should face the opposite wall to get that nice harbor view instead of just looking out at the road.
Now do it again but with unlimited budget!! Similar to a shell challenge but with no simolean limitations!

Its annoying that it use ladder but upstair are the furniture like bed and all, i mean realistically how does that come upstair?😅
Some of the rocks in debug cost 4 dollars. Oh, I just thought of something, you could have put the bow on the door to use like a reef, or as a welcome sign.
I think if we're me I would've used stairs instead of the ladder and have it come up to a mezzanine level bedroom. Not that James's version isn't really nice. It is.
How did you get Create a World to work? I can’t get it to work at all!?
For a new video you should try to blind replicate one of your old popular builds and at the end compare them and see how well you remembered lol

I think it will be much challenging if the tiles count is being determined. Not like "not more than" but "is" (so that the player must make a home with that exact tiles count,). It will be much entertaining to watch when people are suffering :))) lol jk but it is true sorry haha

The sims beating reality again: this just in, you can put furniture in the attic without having to worry about taking it up a ladder, changing the phrase of "if it fits, it sits." to "if it sits, it fits!".
The bathroom is so far from the bedroom!
