I watched all 10 parts, and I learned a lot about machining from it! I doubt I'll ever fabricate something this hardcore, but I'm excited to reference your build for my own cosplay build. Kudos!

In all the attempts to replicate it I've seen over the years they always compromise on the thickness just so they can somewhat swing it. You however made the genuine thing, mad respect.

Now that is HEAVY. There were some really heavy swords in medieval europe up to about 20 kg but no where near as heavy as yours. And the swords were not really used in war either, they were training swords. You'd swing them at a log all today everyday. The idea was when you get your real sword it would feel so light you'd be able hit your foe so hard you'd puncture their armor.

Imagine the destruction that could do if someone could actually swing that like guts does.

I cry sandpapering wood or filing an axe can't imagine how tedious this was. I was following up on you as I served and when I was done with my time this still was yet to be finished. The dedication is insane. Just appreciating it an extra time, fourth or fifth.
