4:28 Half the time you dont see it because its only one one side of the sword lol!
its part of the retention system he uses. the chain hooks onto a hook near his shoulder attached to leather straps, and a long chain goes around the bottom half of the blade at waist level on his back to keep it close to his body and not flopping around. when he draws the Dragonslayer, he uses his prosthetic to free the waist chain, and the act of lifting up the sword unhooks the chain from the hook.

Man, godbless you. I was thinking of making one from wood but i kinda thought of how much more dificult that would be and heavy concidering i don't know anything from wood working and was planning to do some cool poses and scenes with the sword. All that I can say is that I am ecstatic of how you managed to create an exact copy of the dragon slayer more easily in a way. If you see this I hope to have your blessing and permission to build and use this sword for a cosplay THANKS!

I want to cosplay as Aba from Guilty Gear Strive and I just knew I had to make her axe. This video is just what I needed to learn so I can make a Paracelsus replica to go with my Aba. I’m so excited and I can’t wait to get started. Great video!

Incredible job, i really loved your experimentation and ingenuity to achieve an accurate look dragonslayer- the best looking build I have ever seen and it's cardboard of all things!

Huh, this is really cool! I've seen a lot of videos where people talk about making something for 'super cheap', but excluding the thousands of dollars of tools they have - taking that into account is nice of you!

Phenomenal build, absolutely loved the video and you were so straightforward with everything that if I were to follow along I’m sure I could do so effortlessly. I’m surprised you don’t have 1m+ subs already! Thanks for this video!

I’ve been following along with your video now, I’m about to start the drywall step. So far this has been a blast. I’m not sure where I can upload the progress pictures but let me know if you’re interested!

Now that I’ve started the drywall steps I’ve slowed down a lot, and ive noticed that the tip is pretty fragile. It doesn’t hold shape very well yet. My plan is to use tape to help the shape in between layers of drywall. I’m also going to use flex seal over the entire sword after I finish the drywall to see if I can make it sturdier and less likely to crumble down the line.

So I didn’t use tape, more drywall helped it out a lot. I also didn’t use flex seal, I used this stuff called bondo all purpose putty. That helped me fix the tip. I’ve just put the first coat of primer on it. I’m using rust oleum brand paint like in the video.
