It isn't that he stays as adult Link in the adult timeline. The adult timeline is just the world after Zelda sent Link back in time (when the hero disappeared.) By sending him back, she created the child timeline, a timeline where Ganondorf was defeated by the actual kingdom of Hyrule and the Hero of Time was never needed. Her timeline however no longer had a hero because of this action, and thus when Ganondorf returned he nearly defeated the kingdom of Hyrule. So basically the timelines are like this. Downfall Timeline: Link dies against Ganondorf Child Timeline: Link as a child warns the kingdom of Hyrule of Ganondorf's future. Ganondorf is sent to the Twilight Realm. Adult Timeline: Link defeats Ganondorf by sealing him into the Sacred Realm using the Master Sword. Link then disappears into the child timeline, never to be seen again. This is why the Hero's Shade has regret. Upon becoming a child, all of his actions in the adult timeline are undone and he no longer remembered as a Hero. Thus why he is in the child timeline and never appears in the Adult Timeline to help Toon Link.
It also technically debunks the whole "Hero Shade is OoT Link" theory cause Demise is cursing the Hero's soul to be reborn. This means the Hero's Shade cannot be OoT Link cause Link has only one soul. So there can not be a TP Link and the spirit of OoT Link at the same time as the spirit would reside in TP Link.
LOVED that we got to see everything from Zelda's perspective in the credits. That was a great idea. She had her very own journey that just happened to cross paths with Links sometimes.

He must not cower or be intimidated by Demise's threats, but rather he must unleash that indomitable spirit that made him the hero he was fated to be.

Not forever, even if Hyrule and Ganondorf did get fully flooded at the end, the Koroks were working to plant trees that would suck up all the water and thus eventually unflood Hyrule (helping them out is a side quest in WW). Sure, might be a long long time before that happens but eventually the master sword would see the light of day again. Also, supposedly BOTW is at the end of all the timelines and you can see the master sword is still around thousands and thousands of years later.

Skyward sword wasn't my favorite Zelda game, the world seemed kinda empty and loaded with enemies. It didn't have the allure of hyrule or the great sea, or even termina. But it had one of the best story's I've seen in a Zelda game, no doubt in my mind.
For me the world felt too "gamey" like not at all organic. I think that's because they made the overworld like a dungeon and although it was fun it also felt like you had to solve puzzles to walk everywhere. I don't mind dungeons doing that because they are mostly man made so you'd expect trials and puzzles, but it felt a bit hokey in the Overworld (I like there being pockets of it ala Wind Waker or Twilight Princess). It is still one of my favourites though, due to the Story, Skyloft and the fact that despite not feeling epic in the overworld exploration it was still fun.
Bruh it's a 5 y/o comment, and yeah, it wasn't exactly the best, especially when they made you use the wii remote for combat. But it did explored what could be done with motion controls, and the birds was kinda fun ngl.
42:39 I can't believe I never noticed this while playing the game myself but the Master Sword in Skyward Sword has one major difference from all the other Master Sword's. Just above the hilt at the base of the blade, the picture of the Triforce is very different on this version of the sword. The pieces of Courage and Wisdom are separated from the piece of Power by the design around the Triforce. On the other Master Swords that had this same design, the pieces are all touching and the design goes around the Triforce. It doesn't cut the Power piece away from the other two. It's like this version of the sword was trying to warn, or was representing the symbol of the tool that would be used to strike down the holder of the piece of Power.
They should have never given the option to name Link. The worst part is that they never tell you that that is not the savegame but the character's name. When played the Wind Waker, I named Link "Wind". It felt so weird throught the whole gameplay.
Overall, I'd say that this was the best Legend of Zelda game in a long time, because the whole story line had a Special Connection with Link & Zelda, something that a lot of us fans have been asking for for a long time, but I think a lot of the fans wish that they could at least show both of them kissing each other at least once in one of these games. Of course, beyond that part, that's for another time.

I just finished this game today and have to say I think its the best Zelda yet. And the ending cutscenes are amazing! and so emotional. I honestly think nintendo have outdone themselves. And skyward sword 2, am hoping for that already..

The final battle with Ganondorf was decent, but it kind od just felt like nothing after that moment. Skyward Sword has the luxury of being a prequel story, so there's a lot of things to geek out about. And it really feels like an epic conclusion/beginning by the credits.
Definitely not the strongest of the 3D Zeldas, not by a long shot. But dear god, the music is just fucking incredible. Very hard for me not to like it just on account of that fact alone, considering music has been such an important element in the franchise since Ocarina of Time.

Are there any final boss fights from the Legend of Zelda series that you considered very good? In my opinion, there are ways to make each of the final fights very easy, so Demise wasn't very different in that regard. The first time I fought him I didn't use a shield.
Not my all time favorite zelda game but I have to say the ending was the most tear jerking, well written ending out of all the zelda games. This game is an absolute masterpiece, the opus of eiji aonuma. When they stepped through the gate to the other time, and you found that the old lady the entire time was actually Impa, and she said "See? I told you we'd meet again" I literally got chills and teared up uncontrollably. They made this game with nothing but art and fun in mind, excellent game
Skyward Sword Sequel? No. Every game is either a sequel or prequel. Ganondorf is the same Ganondorf in every game, he is a reincarnation of Demise, and possesses the Triforce of Power so hes unable to die. In OoT, this is where he first comes to power, this is where the timelines for all the games split off. The Link to the Past timeline is if Link failed to defeat Ganondorf and died, and he succeeded in obtaining the full Triforce, and corrupted the world of light and turned it into the Dark World. He is forever Ganon in this timeline. The Majoras Mask and Twilight Princess Timeline is if Link beat Ganondorf, was sent back in time to be a child, and as a child he warned the Princess about Ganondorf when he came to meet the king in the castle. He was therefore put on trial. Since he held the Triforce of Power, he wasnt able to be killed, so they sent him to the Twilight Realm. The Heroes Spirit (the armored guy) is actually the OoT link passing his abilities down to the Twilight Link. The Wind Walker timeline is if Link succeeded, was sent back to be a child again, but the future Adult Link timeline was left without a hero, and Ganondorf, being immortal, came back to find there was no hero to fight. He destroyed the world and the Gods were forced to flood it to stop him. There cant be a sequel, Ganondorf hasnt done anything yet until OoT. He doesnt steal the Triforce of Power until OoT, he doesnt face Link until OoT, hes never even met the boy or the princess yet and doesn't even know the two possess the other triforces. When defeated in OoT, he vows revenge on Links ancestors. If we go and make a Skyward Sword Sequel, it cannot feature Ganondorf and Link in the same game, without totally destroying the timelines.

Demise' charge attack was a pain for me to. You stand at the distance where you expecting to get the lightning to hit your sword and BAM, he rushes you and you take damage. I was so focused on the lightning I never reacted quick enough to block.
I know this was over a year ago, but I’m gonna say it anyway, I didn’t mind the gameplay, what bugged me was the fact that this game drained a wii remotes battery in heartbeat, so you would have to replace the batteries every two hours or so, which was beyond tedious. And the numerous recalibrations, but the actual gameplay mechanics weren’t terrible. Save beetle and lift wing controls, those could have been better.
ALSO I don't know if anyone noticed, but Ghirahim sort of waits when he is holding up the huge sword to block you from hitting his diamond chest, he waits for you to do hit him until you mess up
When Demis said "Reancarnation" he's talking about Ganon. and Demise also talks about a curse for the whole entire "Link Time Line" about always fighting evil
such a sad heartfelt ending.. only flaw I don't understand the purpose of demise sucking ghirahim into the sword he pulled out of him.. sure link kicked his ass multiple times but its not like he was dead and demise would've had a Little extra help that could've made all the difference in the final battled.. that final battle was horrible too..
Ghirahim IS Demise's sword, just like Fi is the Goddess/Master Sword. With the sword pulled out, what was left of Ghirahim was a lifeless corpse. Besides, I think Demise would rather have his weapon than a minion who's been defeated multiple times.
This game is awesome. Some people say otherwise, and there are some good reasons to agree with them, but this is still one of the greatest Legend of Zelda games ever.
Truly one of the best games I've ever played. Giving it a 10/10 for the story, characters, puzzles, gameplay, everything about this game was pretty much flawless in my opinion except one little detail... Nintendo has yet and will probably never will finalize the relationship between Link and Zelda. For once, just once would I like to play a Zelda game where there's actual romance and outspoken love between the two of them. But then again, this is Nintendo we're talking about.

The fact that Wind Waker's Ganon was stabbed in the head has no real relation, but perhaps it is just a symbolic means of "So you're going to send an incarnation of your hatred after me all the time? Well fine, I'll just stab them all in the head and seal them away until the next one traipses along." Like Ocarina (Ganon), or Wind Waker, even Malladus from Spirit Tracks.
Just completed this game tonight, ahhh I loved it! Although it's my 5th favourite Zelda game. (The ones I've played) My list, my favourite to least favourite: 1) Link To The Past 2) Ocarina Of Time. 3) Twilight Princess 4) Link Between Worlds 5) Skyward Sword 6) The Phantom Hourglass Still need to play Majoras Mask (Hope they do a remake!) But that's my list. (: Now have to start hero mode, although quite a few things annoyed me about this game. Silent Realm was quite a bitch xD And some bosses were annoying and long (Long cut scenes, The Imprisoned for example) Still, as always, I enjoy any Zelda game loads and look forward to playing a new one. :)

Honestly, I'm going to go ahead and be that guy, but this game failed to provide a satisfactory ending. Obviously it couldn't stray from a cliche conclusion, but Demise was such a simple boss to defeat, once you figured out that you could use your sword similarly to the skyward sword after blocking his strikes a million times. It was still an incredible game, but I'll be damned if I can't say that for Demise's threats and formidable character design he was a bit of a two part pussy, my favorite kind? No, no that's all wrong...9.4

@thefray123 This game is pre and post navi by a good many years. It's been stated to be the starting point and end of the timeline. all games that come after are set after the start, and before the end. That makes sense if you finish the game lol.

Skyward sword wasn't my favorite Zelda game, the world seemed kinda empty and loaded with enemies. It didn't have the allure of hyrule or the great sea, or even termina. But it had one of the best story's I've seen in a Zelda game, no doubt in my mind.
Twilight Princess is the best
Well, this was the first game in the timeline.
For me the world felt too "gamey" like not at all organic. I think that's because they made the overworld like a dungeon and although it was fun it also felt like you had to solve puzzles to walk everywhere. I don't mind dungeons doing that because they are mostly man made so you'd expect trials and puzzles, but it felt a bit hokey in the Overworld (I like there being pockets of it ala Wind Waker or Twilight Princess). It is still one of my favourites though, due to the Story, Skyloft and the fact that despite not feeling epic in the overworld exploration it was still fun.

42:39 I can't believe I never noticed this while playing the game myself but the Master Sword in Skyward Sword has one major difference from all the other Master Sword's.
Just above the hilt at the base of the blade, the picture of the Triforce is very different on this version of the sword. The pieces of Courage and Wisdom are separated from the piece of Power by the design around the Triforce.
On the other Master Swords that had this same design, the pieces are all touching and the design goes around the Triforce. It doesn't cut the Power piece away from the other two. It's like this version of the sword was trying to warn, or was representing the symbol of the tool that would be used to strike down the holder of the piece of Power.
Actually it's always been like that, it's just that it's a very minor detail that nobody really cares for it.

Overall, I'd say that this was the best Legend of Zelda game in a long time, because the whole story line had a Special Connection with Link & Zelda, something that a lot of us fans have been asking for for a long time, but I think a lot of the fans wish that they could at least show both of them kissing each other at least once in one of these games.
Of course, beyond that part, that's for another time.

I just finished this game today and have to say I think its the best Zelda yet. And the ending cutscenes are amazing! and so emotional. I honestly think nintendo have outdone themselves. And skyward sword 2, am hoping for that already..

Eduardo Romero If you're just talking about the ending, you're probably biased, but the overall game may be different. A lot of people, not me, prefer Twilight Princess over Skyward Sword.
TP and SS are both my favourite games because they're so different, yet so similar and I have different memories with them
@@somany5 Twilight Princess is a game that I also loved thoroughly but I was severely underwhelmed by the ending. The final battle with Ganondorf was decent, but it kind od just felt like nothing after that moment.
Skyward Sword has the luxury of being a prequel story, so there's a lot of things to geek out about. And it really feels like an epic conclusion/beginning by the credits.

Definitely not the strongest of the 3D Zeldas, not by a long shot. But dear god, the music is just fucking incredible. Very hard for me not to like it just on account of that fact alone, considering music has been such an important element in the franchise since Ocarina of Time.

Are there any final boss fights from the Legend of Zelda series that you considered very good? In my opinion, there are ways to make each of the final fights very easy, so Demise wasn't very different in that regard. The first time I fought him I didn't use a shield.

Not Twilight, Ganondorf is cool and all but the actual fight is boring, even more than demise.
Not my all time favorite zelda game but I have to say the ending was the most tear jerking, well written ending out of all the zelda games. This game is an absolute masterpiece, the opus of eiji aonuma. When they stepped through the gate to the other time, and you found that the old lady the entire time was actually Impa, and she said "See? I told you we'd meet again" I literally got chills and teared up uncontrollably. They made this game with nothing but art and fun in mind, excellent game

Skyward Sword Sequel? No. Every game is either a sequel or prequel.
Ganondorf is the same Ganondorf in every game, he is a reincarnation of Demise, and possesses the Triforce of Power so hes unable to die. In OoT, this is where he first comes to power, this is where the timelines for all the games split off.
The Link to the Past timeline is if Link failed to defeat Ganondorf and died, and he succeeded in obtaining the full Triforce, and corrupted the world of light and turned it into the Dark World. He is forever Ganon in this timeline.
The Majoras Mask and Twilight Princess Timeline is if Link beat Ganondorf, was sent back in time to be a child, and as a child he warned the Princess about Ganondorf when he came to meet the king in the castle. He was therefore put on trial. Since he held the Triforce of Power, he wasnt able to be killed, so they sent him to the Twilight Realm. The Heroes Spirit (the armored guy) is actually the OoT link passing his abilities down to the Twilight Link.
The Wind Walker timeline is if Link succeeded, was sent back to be a child again, but the future Adult Link timeline was left without a hero, and Ganondorf, being immortal, came back to find there was no hero to fight. He destroyed the world and the Gods were forced to flood it to stop him.
There cant be a sequel, Ganondorf hasnt done anything yet until OoT. He doesnt steal the Triforce of Power until OoT, he doesnt face Link until OoT, hes never even met the boy or the princess yet and doesn't even know the two possess the other triforces. When defeated in OoT, he vows revenge on Links ancestors. If we go and make a Skyward Sword Sequel, it cannot feature Ganondorf and Link in the same game, without totally destroying the timelines.

What I mean is, you can have side-sequels without screwing up the timeline.

Ganondorf eventually comes back in all three timelines, thus is the nature of their curse.

Demise' charge attack was a pain for me to. You stand at the distance where you expecting to get the lightning to hit your sword and BAM, he rushes you and you take damage. I was so focused on the lightning I never reacted quick enough to block.

I know this was over a year ago, but I’m gonna say it anyway, I didn’t mind the gameplay, what bugged me was the fact that this game drained a wii remotes battery in heartbeat, so you would have to replace the batteries every two hours or so, which was beyond tedious. And the numerous recalibrations, but the actual gameplay mechanics weren’t terrible. Save beetle and lift wing controls, those could have been better.

Ghirahim IS Demise's sword, just like Fi is the Goddess/Master Sword. With the sword pulled out, what was left of Ghirahim was a lifeless corpse. Besides, I think Demise would rather have his weapon than a minion who's been defeated multiple times.
This game is awesome.
Some people say otherwise, and there are some good reasons to agree with them, but this is still one of the greatest Legend of Zelda games ever.

Truly one of the best games I've ever played. Giving it a 10/10 for the story, characters, puzzles, gameplay, everything about this game was pretty much flawless in my opinion except one little detail... Nintendo has yet and will probably never will finalize the relationship between Link and Zelda. For once, just once would I like to play a Zelda game where there's actual romance and outspoken love between the two of them. But then again, this is Nintendo we're talking about.

@BlademasterJale No, the scar is from the sword that was sealing The Imprisoned. Since Demise IS the Impresoned in pure form. The fact that Wind Waker's Ganon was stabbed in the head has no real relation, but perhaps it is just a symbolic means of "So you're going to send an incarnation of your hatred after me all the time? Well fine, I'll just stab them all in the head and seal them away until the next one traipses along." Like Ocarina (Ganon), or Wind Waker, even Malladus from Spirit Tracks.
Just completed this game tonight, ahhh I loved it! Although it's my 5th favourite Zelda game. (The ones I've played)

Honestly, I'm going to go ahead and be that guy, but this game failed to provide a satisfactory ending. Obviously it couldn't stray from a cliche conclusion, but Demise was such a simple boss to defeat, once you figured out that you could use your sword similarly to the skyward sword after blocking his strikes a million times. It was still an incredible game, but I'll be damned if I can't say that for Demise's threats and formidable character design he was a bit of a two part pussy, my favorite kind? No, no that's all wrong...9.4

@thefray123 This game is pre and post navi by a good many years. It's been stated to be the starting point and end of the timeline. all games that come after are set after the start, and before the end. That makes sense if you finish the game lol.
