    Mavs fan here. The Celtics deserved this ring. It's not their fault other players got injured or that Kyrie was a bum in these Finals. It's not the Celtics' job to wait for other teams to get themselves together, their job is to lay the smackdown and they did so.
    I actually like that the Celtics are one of the few teams with stars who care about playing games and they don't "load manage" or blame teammates or their coaches. It's refreshing and even though I hate them for kicking my team's a$$... I gotta respect em for the season they put together.

    you can put a * on most title runs. Blame injuries all you want, but the facts are that Tatum and Brown both played over 70 games in the regular season while other stars were load managing and still getting injured. The Celtics earned their number one seed, so they earned their easy match-ups. They earned their advantage by staying healthy and having their star players available throughout the regular season and playoffs. this Celtics team is all time, haters can go cry about it.

    It's crazy people are still trying to find a way to discredit and put down the Celtics. It's giving off bitter ex girlfriend energy from everyone that criticizes the Celtics. I've never seen a team dominant and do what they were picked to do since the beginning of the season and still get criticized for it. And lets be honest the Celtics over achieved we all picked them to win the championship but I don't think anyone expected them to dominate like this the way they did. And even if they had to play teams that were missing star players they still took care of business and dominated each team and the Celtics had injuries also but everyone is real quite to mention that. And it's not like it would have mattered because this Celtics team was the best team in the league by a long shot they were going to beat any team this year regardless of if they were 100% healthy or not. The only question would have been was are the Celtics winning in 6 or 7 instead of 4 or 5 games. Even if they played a healthy Heat, a healthy Cavs, Indiana or Knicks they were going to win that series and it didn't matter who they played in the west whether it be the nuggets T-wolves or thunder they were going to beat them also but instead of beating those teams in 5 like they did the Mavs they probably would have beat them 6-7 thats the only difference. This Celtics team was a matchup nightmare for everyone in the league. And this Celtics team is 1 of 8 teams in NBA history to ever win both 80 games and a championship in the same season and they were elite defensively. It's time to give the Celtics some damn respect they were the best team in the league the whole year and it wasn't even close! Here's to the Boston Celtics your 2024 NBA champions! 🏆☘️

      Dallas would double-team or collapse the defense around Tatum more than his teammates. Tatum's scoring efficiency may have suffered as a result of that but he also took advantage to feed the ball to cutters or corner 3pt shooters. After game 5 he was the team's pts rbs and asts leader for Boston this series. Brown was 2nd in pts, better FG%, team stls leader, more blks than Tatum, while being the primary defender on Luka. I wish they were co-MVPs because their roles were equally impactful in my eyes.

And no one gave us any brownie points for making to the finals that year, not to mention Rob Williams getting injured and Tatum playing with a bum wrist. Nuggets would have been a better match up, but if we're being honest they would have won 2 games at most. No other starting 5 currently compares to the Celtics. Nuggets have bad defenders/defensive liabilities like JM, KPJ, and Jokic. They would have got ate alive by this Celtics 5 out offense. Best match up wise would have been the wolves that put out the Nuggets, but they were bottom 15 offensive rating, and facing that Celts D would have been bad still..

    Can we all agree this was the worst NBA season in a really long time?
    - Really boring playoffs
    - Quiet MVP race
    - All Star weekend officially dead
    - Jayson Tatum superteam his ass for a plastic ring and didn't even win fmvp
    - No big midseason trades
    - Klay shot 0/10 in an elimination game
    - Everyone in the east was injuired so the Pacers and Celtics had easy roads
    - Knicks literally were dead weight after game 6
    - Pacers got a easy road and wasted everyone's time
    - Mavs were the worst team to face this Celtics in the finals. Should been denver or Minnesota
    - Celtics had 5 all star vs 2 and one of them didn't even show up for three games(kyrie)
    This NBA season was trash asf but congrats to Jaylicious for carrying Tatum and getting his fmvp

    The reason why Celtics had such a easy run while other competitors in the east suffer greatly from the injuries because the Celtics are a better team together and outpower other competitors single-handedly so they could have the leisure during the regular season. Therefore, I think this 18th title by the Celtics is really underappreciated so far.

  • @BekeleHT

    You can blame LeAdam James Silver for the injury caused to Jimmy Butler by those cheap play-in competition created to help his man LeBalco James get into the playoffs. That's where the finger pointing need to be directed. Every season a key player gets hurt in those play-in competition.

    • @nunyafukinbizness
      @nunyafukinbizness 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The answer to that would be to not suck so bad you're in the play in tournament...The heat weren't even relevant this year with Jimmy, who actually declined this season statistically. I hope he can stay healthy next season so my Celtics can remind yall just how irrelevant you're going to be for the foreseeable future.

    • @xaviervega468
      @xaviervega468 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Miami being in the play-in is a 100% Miami problem. You don't want to be there, get the 6 seed.
      Also how has the play-in helped James? He's been the 7 or 8 seed every year he's made the playoffs since the play-in. He would have made it under the old system.
      You're entire statement is 100% ignorance.

      @xaviervega468 ok answer this outside of the year they won the bubble gum chip, did it not take the play-in for the Lakers to make the playoffs. Check it out it's all there for you to see for yourself. Prior to LeAdam James, creating the play-in, your favorite player couldn't make the playoffs.

    • @xaviervega468
      @xaviervega468 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BekeleHT OK I'll try and explain this again. and I'll use small words this time.
      Without the play-in Lebron still would have made the playoffs every year he made it. The old system was the top 8 seeds. Once they brought the play-in it was the top 6.
      The play-in only helps the 9 and 10 seeds. It hurts the 7-8 seeds who would have made the playoffs anyway befoe the play-in.
