You have the doctors inject you with some painkillers, get together with your team, even if Chris Paul only played five minutes. Those five minutes most likely would've been all the Rockets needed to beat the Warriors." What's more, is that there have been credible statistical analyses on the effects of load management on injury reduction, and they have found little correlation between the two. In short, it does next to nothing other than soften the mindset of a player and suck money from the franchises, which pass that loss onto consumers. Something is definitely wrong when LaMelo Ball seems more interested in playing than guys like Harden and Embiid. At least the guy turns up.
Yea there really is no correlation between resting and injurie reduction. Absolutely none, yet they still have this resting non sense. They just don’t feel like playing. They even complain about mandatory 65 games.
80's: Players are getting paid shit but competing to win 82 games. 90's Players are playing harder and starting to get the respect they deserve and the pay they deserve. 00's players start to rid the coat tails of the past and expect longer careers and higher pay. 10's Players start to expect changes in the game to make their lives easier.... but still want massive salaries despite their productivity. Today: Players expectations far exceed their productivity and ratings have tanked, but it's the 90's fault..... Bare minimum work ethic, Ridiculous salaries, load management becoming "I don't want to play tonight cause I gonna get embarrassed", and ownership basically profiting off a managed reality where one defensive stop meme makes you the defensive player of a generation and drives jersey sales. Now we are pushing teenagers with barely a high school diploma into the league, telling them they are "chosen", giving them 100's of millions of dollars, and expecting a product that exceeds fan expectations. Just another extension of the rage economy. What could go wrong?
Blame the owners. They’ve continued to bend to the players CBA after CBA and have been fleeced. The players get a huge chunk of the revenue pie, more than ever before, and completely take advantage of their gOVerNoRS by playing less than ever before.
It's funny to me that LeFlop is listed as a Game Time Decision for every single game for the past few years. Back in my day of the 90s there was never any question if a start player was going to start. There was never a time where someone went to one and only game and was disappointed that a player wasn't playing.
Yes, and don't forget to add Wembanyama to that short list of guys with drive to compete! only 19/20 years old in his rookie season and already seems more mature and focused than about 99% of the league. Kobe would love this guy!
I saw all I needed to see when I watched him against the pistons flailing around getting calls and falling down every other play. Everything since then including the heat is no surprise to me and 2021 was fraudulent.

I do believe in this next round of stars like you said at the end. Especially in Ant, Fox, and Shai, who also like to play midrange and not shoot 3s all the time
The fact that men who work ~82 games/games a year and make millions of dollars, but cry about having to go to work for at least 65 days (not including if the team is good enough to go to the playoffs) is hilarious.
If any player sat out back in the day, they most definitely were NOT having snacky treats, joking it up, and laughing on the bench. That type of behavior speaks to a complete disregard, and total lack of respect for the fans and more importantly the game itself. Just disgusting behavior all around by these spoiled, petulant man children.
If a player sat out with "soreness" 20 -30 years ago they would be completely roasted by their own veteran teammates and coaches. I feel like there's none of that anymore. Any player that was really soft used to not make it very long
@@JJ_5289 no accountability at all. Very spoiled and riddled with participation trophy mentalities. And these guys think they're on par with the greats? Please.
They (Adam Silver and The NBA) needs to start ENFORCING FINES for Players and Team Owners loading managing because the game requirement eligibility for awards is not enough.
They’re going to have to lock the players out in order to dial contracts back and put in some pay for play provisions. Gonna be ugly but it’s what’s needed now.
I think we have to sadly accept the fact that this garbage NBA product is tarnished indefinitely with this current crop of stars. It will take years, it not decades, to reverse this load mgmt/3pt shootout this once great league.
THIS IS WHY ANTHONY EDWARDS IS THE NEXT ONE UP! HE GETS INJURED MID-GAME 3 MINUTES LATER HE IS BACK ON THE COURT HOOPING, then gets reinjured again and played again and then get reinjured again for the 3rd time in the same game and still had a game winning block!! The previous game, he even had a baby and still took a 5 hour flight just to play the same day (granted he was late but most of these weak minded players would skip the game for family reasons). They got no DAWG!
That’s because he’s 23 years old, wait till he gets older and tell me if he’s still going to be playing through injury. There was a time when Lebron would roll his ankle and get up a couple minutes later and continue to play without missing the next game. You can’t do that forever.

@@maserati4000 Well, he pushed for the coach they fired, right? If he had put his foot down, budenholzer would still be there. Not saying that would have been the right decision, only highlighting, that he has some sway when it comes to those decisions.
@@bandoogiemanz completely fair, superstar players like Giannis can basically pick and choose what coaches they want. Did Giannis or someone in the Bucks organization give a reason as to why they wanted to move on from Budenholzer so quickly? I understand that losing to the Heat was a bad look, especially being the first seed and a first round exit. But Giannis was out for game 2 and 3. One would have thought though that the 2021 championship would at least get Budenholzer an opportunity to redeem himself.
Stop comparing these modern day “super-athletes” need for load management today, to the out-of-shape “plumbers and firemen” of yesteryear who played 80+games full seasons in their off time. I’ll never understand how thinking that firefighters and plumbers don’t have physically demanding jobs, or that the players back then having multiple jobs while playing professional basketball is somehow a knock on those guys toughness compared to today’s era of players.
To be fair to the modern players, the reason they are so concerned about injuries is because they are being payed WAY more than what players back then were, even adjusting for inflation. If they get injured they lose so much more than players of the past. It sucks that they don’t play more games because of it but if that’s the way it goes who are we to stop it
That's the dumbest logic I've ever heard. If you've already been paid hundreds of millions of dollars then money doesn't have much marginal utility to you anymore. A thousand dollars is worth far more to someone who makes $100K per year vs. someone who makes $1M per year. I get it if you're early in your career and you have yet to get your big contract then sure rest to avoid major injury. But we're talking about players who are already one or two nine-figure contracts into their careers. Players busted their ass in the 80s and 90s for fractions of what today's players get paid. And money meant a lot more to them because they had less of it. If you're getting paid hundreds of millions of dollars (and you're already obscenely wealthy) you have an obligation to show up for work. No excuses. No bullshit. These players need to quit load managing and just fucking play
Today, the self proclaimed king is trying to push the narrative to reduce the regular season lenght. That is not to protect current players from injuries, but protect the stats he has been padding up. These guys have everything to last longer (nutrition, science, shoes, etc) and yet they want to play less.
Bro! The Mamba was tougher than a $2 steak! Bro took the spike everyday to make sure he played! And the league is absolutely allergic to back to back games now! These dudes are so f’ing weak! Better nutrition, training, facilities, travel, why wouldn’t you want to play everyday?
As I agree with the premise of this video over all. Hamstring soreness depending of the severity would potentially hinder Giannis significantly. His whole game is based on his athleticism. So of his soreness is more of a pull then it would make sense. But your point over all is well made. The load management and mental weakness is pathetic. But if they based their game off lebron its not surprising they are so entitled
I've missed a total of TWO days of work in 25+ yrs. The difference in mentality/toughness/pride between the older & current generation/s is appalling 💀💀💀
I bought tickets months ago to see Luka when he comes to OKC last week. He didn’t play because of Hamstring and I was out $144. It’s not much but it really ruined my experience. I wish players wanted to play more throughout the year
The competitive spirit and the drive to pull out all the stops regardless of the situation is now officially dead with these pampered and entitled "superstars". Yeah, we are so done with this era for sure.

Nikola Jokić has played the most regular season games out of all players since the start of 2015-16 season, his rookie year
I used to always go to games, but I stopped 2 seasons ago because of this "load management" that is going on in this weak era
If the players don’t care, why should we??
@@skap_attack exactly. I refused to support them
This is just an insult for the common people who have to work 8 hrs a day for 5 times a week just to survive.
I remember watching Dominique Wilkins play with a hard caste on his forearm, and still was taking it to the hole and dunking HARD. Made me as a kid say "get over it and man up" so many times in my life. This "superior" today's game lacks so many things that used to make sports in general great.
Load Management sounds like PC talk for taking a crap. Fitting, honestly.
"Never dodge smoke"....
😏😉😂
My father made a similar statement when Chris Paul sat out Game 7 against the Warriors with a sore hamstring.
He said, "You play your whole career to win a championship. Game 7 rolls around for the Warriors and you sit out because of a sore hamstring? You have the doctors inject you with some painkillers, get together with your team, even if Chris Paul only played five minutes. Those five minutes most likely would've been all the Rockets needed to beat the Warriors."
The players having the competitive drive similar to those from the 70's, 80's, 90's, and early 2000's are long gone.
It makes me appreciate Kobe way more than I already did which was a lot. Considering the spoiled losers of this generation
FACTS 💯❤️
Kobe got carried to most of his rings by one of the most dominant centers Ever. Give Lebron shaq for 8 seasons he’d had 8 rings
@@danielbattle7620go back and check both their stats in the playoffs, also lebron has had dwade,Kyrie and Anthony davis and still somehow has less rings than kobe
@@theripper631 none of those players are the caliber of shaq. Shaq is top 5. Lebron has never had the talent of a shaq

Kobe:

Kobe got carried
John Stockton would be cooking in today’s NBA
Him and Karl would have been operating a five star restaurant because they cooked so good.
Preach broather,Larry Legend is my GOAT and i try to follow his work ethic every day.
What's more, is that there have been credible statistical analyses on the effects of load management on injury reduction, and they have found little correlation between the two.
Yup.
Skap.. Luv the channel.. the vids.. And ur perspective...thx for keeping it real.. And providing us a breathe of fresh air everyday
THANK YOU for the kind words and for tuning in to support me. I appreciate you!! ❤️🙏
He is a rookie that why he need to prove.
Giannis believes LeBalco is the goat...that instantly makes him a fraud lol
Conspiracy theory rumors yall use to attack him because he’s still good
@@danielbattle7620what the fuck do you mean, giannis literally said he was the goat😭
@@TiredOfthisstuff im talking about LeBalco. Yall can’t explain his greatness so it must be juice to you. It’s sad
I saw all I needed to see when I watched him against the pistons flailing around getting calls and falling down every other play. Everything since then including the heat is no surprise to me and 2021 was fraudulent.
@danielbattle7620 LeEPO is the least skilled so called great.
Wilt averaged over 48 minutes in a season. Managed that load pretty well.
I hope Jokic and Nuggets stay healthy and manage to get more rings.
Me too! Wouldn’t mind seeing the first 3 peat in 20 years here…
0:36 skap i appreciate you doing this. I never had to eat my words bc all the guys I liked never let me down. The reason why I'm hard on you and Gianni's worship is bc he's not on Kobe's competitiveness. Him and curry being compared to Kobe infuriates me bc they don't deserve it. They're so protected while Kobe was hated for doing anything great. Win w or wo Shaq.
I'm glad you finally owned up to it. I love unappreciated and disrespected players. That's why i love role players the most now. Most stars outside Luka 🃏 are overrated and hyped to replace those 2 bc media hates them.
Imagine paying full price to see Guns n Roses in their prime but then they don't show up and you only get some lame opening acts and no refund.
These NBA stars are soft AF
That’s a great analogy
Skap, you've outdone yourself. Great Video!!!
I do believe in this next round of stars like you said at the end. Especially in Ant, Fox, and Shai, who also like to play midrange and not shoot 3s all the time
I love all three of the guys you just mentioned.
The fact that men who work ~82 games/games a year and make millions of dollars, but cry about having to go to work for at least 65 days (not including if the team is good enough to go to the playoffs) is hilarious.
They work on more than at least 65 days because practice and play offs exist. They don't just show up to a game.
Please.
@@bswizzle5227 thank you
They (Adam Silver and The NBA) needs to start ENFORCING FINES for Players and Team Owners loading managing because the game requirement eligibility for awards is not enough.
It's a complete crap hooked me in lol😅
LOL Darko is a COMPLETE LEGEND
To sum this up, don't buy tickets to a game after all-star weekend because it's a good chance the players you want to see might sit out that game.
dude with the neck brace 😂
When you see the Kobe game winner vs Charlotte on his buzzer beater TH-cam vids. I was at that game in. Awesome.
You can’t do that forever.
d rose did the same shit and look what happened to him
@@fatman3177 he did not. Drose is made of glass. Tell me when did Drose play through injury? He never did cuz he got soft knees
Preach , brother PREACH !!!
I used to be a big Giannis fan, but he’s changed since winning the championship. That statement after losing to the Heat and its celebration by the mass media is all you need to know about this generation 🤦🏾♂️
Keep producing great content Brother!
I agree what you said about his comment after the heat loss. How much would you say though his decline along with the Bucks is due to the revolving door of had coaches? Hard to have stability if there really isn’t a stable leader up top
I'll never get used to the Celtics wearing Black at home... or the Bucks wearing White in Boston smh.
Sick of the NBA
Wilt was quoted as saying....I don't EVER want to come out. And did he didn't in a whole season!
Hamstring soreness is actually legit considering his play style
2:26 Kawhi’s laugh is both hilarious and yet ironic. the king of load management lol
Your editing is a thing of beauty 🔥
This is so sad. My parents era had people playing in neck braces meanwhile my era players sit out with fake injuries what a disgrace to the game
Great video again, Skap! Keep them rolling!
No play no pay is how it should be
I feel like the owners have to lock out the players and push for that.
"Itsa complete crap!!" 🤣😂🤣
let's not forget that Michale Jordan once played a game while sick with the flu.
Props to Chet Holmgren for having the NBA iron man mentality 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
And you should remember that in 60, 70, 80 teams travelled by bus and this is so different.
It's to the point where i expect a superstar to sit out every marquee matchup
I don't want this anymore, I'm nauseated with the NBA. I'm even giving up on truth channels like this. See you guys at the finals.🙌
I DID NOT know that players were playing in gah damn neck braces in previous eras 😂😂 that’s some tough shit for real lol
Today, the self proclaimed king is trying to push the narrative to reduce the regular season lenght. That is not to protect current players from injuries, but protect the stats he has been padding up.
These guys have everything to last longer (nutrition, science, shoes, etc) and yet they want to play less.
load management? soreness?
the "plumbers" would NEVER...
Bro! The Mamba was tougher than a $2 steak! Bro took the spike everyday to make sure he played! And the league is absolutely allergic to back to back games now! These dudes are so f’ing weak! Better nutrition, training, facilities, travel, why wouldn’t you want to play everyday?
PAUSE
for the thumbnail caption
jk
just teasing lol
😂😂😂
Remember that game with I believe Henderson with the neck brace right yup tough tough 80s was tougher with no flagrant foul rule
A better time and a better game…
Im waiting for Jokic to whoop everyone in his NBA side job then go back to his horses lmao
Keep in mind a Wizard Michael Jordan and an Unathletic White dude named Stockton played a full 82 games. load management be Damned!
What's the name of the beat playing in the background?
Best basketball channel ever!
When is the last NBA regular season game we saw 2 teams at full strength?? Any time this season?
Their bodies are ruined by steroids use. Hence they need to take timeouts
I used to be a die hard NBA fan 15-20 years ago. Today its a shadow of what the league used to be.
That’s one of the reasons why Jokic is my favorite player. He doesn’t load manage, is humble and durable, and he just hoops. He’s the undisputed 2024 MVP
I'm done in the 2020s because of load management. Enough said! 😤
