New subscriber great video series of your WYBDR. I'm a new rider to the ADV and will be doing the WYBDR this summer on my new '23 KTM 1290 Super Adventure with my friend. Hope our trip turns out well just as yours and your friends did. Cheers from Denver Colorado!
I watch every episode of your adventure rides love the views along the way great team work. And I bought a 2019 Africa twin to do the same this year all because of you keep up the great work
Enjoyed this series, thanks for documenting your trip. I hadn't spent any time in Wyoming other than visiting Yellowstone years ago, now I feel I've really seen and experienced the backcountry and people of a really special state.
Thoroughly enjoyed this series. Getting gas in Burgess Junction was the hardest part of our trip, and the busiest part of the route. I think we hit it on the Labor Day holiday weekend. It was a zoo. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Wonderful series on the Wyoming BDR! Gorgeous scenery and your campsites rocked. Your AT sounds great!!! I’m listening with EarPods on my tablet and this might be my new setup for bike videos.
Thanks for such a fun series. Hunkered down here in the freezing cold mountains, I’m living vicariously through your adventures. I hope the next series will come soon.
Great series. Another route to add to my list of BDRs. Got one under the belt (MABDR). Utha is currently being planned out for the September 23. You all had a good pace not fast or to slow. Ordered some of the Dmada pouches. Thanks For sharing. Well done!
Really enjoy your content! Those views are majestic! You mentioned you guys forgot a number of things you typically bring. Makes me curious, what do you think are the top 3 things you missed during the ride that you forgot to bring? Thanks for taking us along!
For me, it was my air pump. Mine broke literally the day before we left and we kept planning on stopping and buying one on the way down, but then kept forgetting. By the time we got to the start of the route, there was nowhere to get one. I also forgot a light jacket so I was forced to wear my raincoat most nights to try and keep warm, which wasn’t very useful. Haha. For me that’s about it. Dan forgot to pack CO2 cartridges which we learned the hard way was pretty important because we weren’t able to see the bead on his tire when patching it but other than that that’s really about it.
Enjoyed your Wyoming series. Spent some time, in Wyoming, on my travels in 2021, on a CRF250L. was curious as to how you got your camera to video you from behind and then spin around and view backwards. great photography. Keep up the good work.
It’s a 360 camera. It records 360 degrees all the time and you can later go back and pick which angles you want to use. Very useful and you essentially never miss the framing you wanted
@@backcountryadvmoto thank you for the quick response. Much appreciated. In addition to the amazing scenery and camera work, your site is very informative! Thank you!
Enjoyed the series...Good job guys! Quick question: Maybe I missed it somewhere, but what time of the year was this trip? Seems like it was pretty muddy in sections. Was it springtime or is it always muddy in those areas of Wyoming? Thanks again!
Nice job, guys. I've spent some time in the Bighorns with my family and friends recently and look forward to passing through on the adventure bike. It's a fantastic area. A couple FYIs... Shoshone is the name of a native tribe and is pronounced show-SHOAN-ee. "Medicine" is a term commonly found in native culture, referring to the work of tribal healers. Medicine Lake is likely a native name (translated, obviously), and you passed fairly near Medicine Wheel, a fascinating cultural landmark important to many tribes. And Burgess is pronounced with a soft g, as in Burgess Meredith, Rocky's trainer. These things may seem trivial, but local folks would prefer you do a little more research before you report on their communities, for the sake of accuracy and out of respect. Happy riding.
Watching this about your buddies tire wouldn't seat the bead got me to thinking. I would be in the same boat as him. I found this doner hose at best rest which you could over inflate the good tire and then dump the air into the flat one which should seat the bead but it's 50 bucks! So I found these air chuck ends on Amazon for 9 dollars. I ordered a set this morning and I'm going to find a piece of 1/4 fuel line or vacuum line something that fits and is small enough to pack. Here is the links you might pass the info on to your GS Buddy, forgot his name! Thanks so much. We were actually talking about this the night after this happened and thought of a very similar remedy. Then when we got back in service, realize that the best rust had a option similar to what we were thinking. Dan went home and made a very similar Set up for his bike. He shouldn’t have this issue anymore. Thanks for watching and appreciate the help.
Great series .... but I was very disappointed to see you put a decal on a landowners gate. I know it is just a decal, but just like you wouldn't want me to slap a decal on your bike without your approval, they likely wouldn't appreciate it on their gate and property also. When land access is diminishing, we need to be respectful of landowners property... it is the principle and doesn't support the leave no trace approach.
I do understand where you are coming from. This is a very common thing people do on these routes just like on state signs when going from one state to another. It wasn’t a private land owner’s gate. It was public land. If it was private property I wouldn’t have done it, BUT I do see how it may not matter to some whose land it is.
Your little "must be preserved" comment at the end was pretty much a crock of BS and insult. They have done a good job of maintaining the place. How many ruts did you two leave riding those wet dirt roads? You know any time you want to talk I'll deal with you. Take your Sierra Club attitude and shove it.
The Ten Sleep area is very popular with the rock climbers. That’s why you had trouble finding a spot to camp.
Ha! Yeah we noticed that too.
Awesome series on the Wyoming BDR. Thank you for sharing it with us. Hope to do it myself one day on my 2017 AT.
Nice view of the Pryor Mountains at 1730.

We didn’t have that issue, but this section for us was one with some if the best views for sure.

Thanks again! I’m in north Idaho and having a similar issues. So ready for spring!
I like all the different camera mounts and angles you did on the bike. Drone shots are great as well. Looks like you have a 360 cam? Great narration!
Thanks 👍

It’s the WLF Enduro pack

If you only carried one tube for emergency use on a GS/A would it be the 17 or the 19?
19 for sure 👍🏻
