Why she sing like that!!! Hitting the high note like it's nothing!!! Smiling like she just playing, if that's me, I will be losing my breath hitting the very low note!!!! One of the best!!!
Lizzandro Alvarez - It was filmed with the HDVS system, which was designed by Sony and used in all the Montreux concerts that year (91) and in some of the following year (92), On a news website that I don't remember his name, they confirmed this fact. In addition to that you can see the effect of comet tails that appears in the lights, which appeared in analog tube cameras such as VHS
Ray Cooper on percussion. He and Nathan were in Clapton's Unplugged only months after this. I can recommend Fourplay - Between The Sheets live with Chaka and Nathan. She was blushing the whole song.
I have the same quality for Celine Dion's cover of Whitney Houston songs wayback 1992 and Mariah Carey's Love Takes Time at Arsenio Hall with the same quality.
Unbelievable band! Greg Phillinganes on keyboards, Nathan East on bass and backup vocals and Paul Jackson Jr. on guitar. This is a show that I wish I had been at!
I know. I listen to this on repeat and try my damnedest to just be OKAY. I've been listening to the album version so I figured they had her in the studio prepped and she went off but figured live it wouldn't be as good. I'm depressed, she actually sings this amazingly without any effort. She's a treasure.

I love Chaka and this song is one of my favorites…still speaks to me today! It’s a combination of her beautiful, unique voice, this song’s amazing melody and the lyrics. These lyrics struck a cord with me in the early 90s and still do in 2024! Thank you Chaka!!
Many of these female RnB singers were trained in churches when they were children, in the 50s, 60s and 70s. The result was that in the 80s we had women with powerful voices in American music. After so much training since they were kids, singing for them, ended up becoming like breathing, it became a natural thing for them. Today we, unfortunatelly, don't see it anymore.
@@mackpatterson4911 that’s true. Chaka even said it herself in one of her many interviews. Her younger siblings kinda grew up in church but she didn’t.
