@@diecaverna Some of the music (if you can even call it that) is good, but everything else is garbage. The rap now is just mumbling, and it’s all Pop, Rap and Autotune. Not actual musicians playing instruments and singing. It’s just sad where the music industry went. Today, you can sing La La La, put autoune on your voice and become one of the biggest artists. Back then you had to actually know how to play and sing on key. And, it was a helluva a lot of work.
@@nickavenoso7851 To be pro in sports you must be VERY good, to be pro in painting/drawing you must be VERY good, to be pro in music you need just autotune and your laptop. Toto is one of my most favorite bands of all time. So grateful to have seen them live at the Hollywood Bowl last Sept 1, 2024. 🎼🥁🎸🎺🌹🌹🌹
God bless the Porcaros. What a gift they gave us in Toto.
One of the best rock ballads. I love this song ❤️
Hello Barbara.... how are you doing?

Aqui!!
my favorite song still im listening right now❤
I'm not even born yet when this classics was released but im listening to this everyday. I wish i was already on my teens on the 60s,70s, 80s, the golden age of music. I will forever imagine what it was like to listen on toto, led zep, pink floyd, the doors, gnr, beatles, hollies, the beach boys, marmalade. CCR, elvis, iron maiden, black sabbath, eagles(tbh too many too mention lol) on the radio. The internet might be the closest thing we have to a time machine, but i wanna feel what the people felt decades ago when these kind of masterpieces was realeased.
Rest in Heaven Jeff and Mike Porcaro. Miss you both so much. Thanks for the great music.
Steve Lukather is such a super talented songwriter, singer, and musician!!
Wow - I just miss the 80s so much!!
1991!? Absurd quality, You can't be serious
Just amazing

@@ryancang3627 Not true! This text quoted:
The entire Jazz Festival was recorded using the Sony HDVS system, 1125 lines interlaced analog component video signal. with 16x9 aspect ratio. So it is basically 1080i when converted to digital. The audio was recorded with 2 Sony 48 track DASH digital recorders at 16 bit resolution 48 KHz sample rate.
The VTR's used to record the concert recorded the analog component HD video digitally along with separate 8 channel 16 bit 48 Khz audio, so a 8 channel audio sub mix was fed to the truck to be recorded to the tape with the video.
The production used 5 cameras 4 Sony HDC-300 3 tube HDVS cameras and one Sony HDC-500 3 CCD HDVS camera (a prototype). The 5 cameras where fed into an 8 input HDS-1000T switcher a ,live mix was recorded to an HDD-1000 Digital 1" VTR. Three of the cameras where also directly run to their own HDD-1000 VTR(ISO CAMS) so that more shots could be added or changed in post production. "
@@DDramKing I'm surprised that very few people even know about the existence of analog cameras from the 80s-90s capable of recording HD video. But there is still something in this picture that betrays its origins from the 90s - the colors, these warm lamp colors)
You know an artist can really sing when they sing this well live
I'll Be Over You. One of the best Toto songs ever
Amen to that.
One of the BEST songs EVER
It is the best one..This one caught the ladies ears for ears.,
All of Toto's Songs are the best :)

This is a superb version of such a heartbreakingly beautiful song.
the quality of the video is insane...
thank you technology
Don't quote me, but I believe they were trying out some sort of special new Analog HD technology at the time, so we're very, very lucky to have this HD video of when Uncle Jeff was still with us, with the added bonus of some great shots of Luke when he was still in his 30s
Was gonna say that too. HD quality
One of the finest songs ever written! Mike is my favorite bassist of all time. Watching his passion as he played never gets old. Such a loss! With that said, this whole band is phenomenal!
@Halli Day most definitely 🙂 He plays with such passion.
This version never gets old, so close to heart!
4:37 it's subtle fills like this that are just so damn well-placed, that always put a smile on my face. Jeff played it so solid - even with those accents perfect on the upbeat. Legend!
Who's here in 2024?
Ich, jeden Tag
me. indonesia.
I.m here..
Me 😊
Going to see them tonight 👍
and you know what is great about this performance is that Lukather feels it in his voice and guitar
He was still dealing with his first wife divorcing him the year before.
It's amazing the feeling that you can see him put into this song and I'll bet by this point he had already sung it a countless number of times. I love when you can see a singer just put their entire hearts behind their music.
And actually singing , nowadays 90% of the mainstream music it’s auto tune
Such passion. I love it. That voice . I’m trying to pay attention only to Steve and not the song’s sad lyrics. So sad. I’m sure many of us, myself included, can relate to these words
Jeff and Mike, never forgotten ❤. This must have been one of the last concerts with the whole of TOTO present on stage.
You can't see bands like this caliber anymore
you right everything is garbage now! TOTO for ever ❤️🎸
Yes you can though
@@nickavenoso7851 To be pro in sports you must be VERY good, to be pro in painting/drawing you must be VERY good, to be pro in music you need just autotune and your laptop. That's so bad, it sucks but it's the reality. You don't need skill, practice and theory anymore to live from music or just to make music. Also, the music industry is not about music anymore, it's about earning money fast and low effort.
A beautiful, haunting rock ballad from my childhood. That key change riff at the end just blew my mind. Thank you, Toto.
Listen to the 35th Anniversary the whole concert
Mike Porcaro's bass lines were perfect...damn, Jeff AND Mike are gone! Jeff's ride pattern was great...so musical
This song is what made me fall in love withSteve Lukather! He is incredible
MAN!! This song brings back so many memories of the 80's that I lived and loved so much!💗
Toto....Coloring the world with their music....you guys are special and amazing people 👍
I’ve always respected Steve Lukather as one of the great guitar players 🎸 of that time , I never knew he was such a strong vocalist as well !!! Wow what a talent that guy is !!! I was never into Toto to much back in the day , but I’ve been watching these videos of them , from the 80s lately, because I was interested in Steves guitar playing, but now I’m really digging them as a band !!, Steve if your listening ,hit me up , and say hi to me ! Ok 👍🏻
E- Dogg Steve lukather is a musical genius. He has collaborated and produced songs to some of the biggest musicians as well as pop star in the industry.
@@liletsky5102 , yeah i’m digging on his stuff now !! real awesome talent!!! thanks for your reply!!
@@Summersblues1 I love his guitar and bass playing on Talk to Ya Later by the Tubes. Of course, he co wrote that song as well. I really like his new song released in late 2020. It’s called Run to Me. Reminds me a bit of Traveling Wilburys and Billy Joel songs. Cheers!
@@nmtg I love that song “ talk to you later,” I did not know that he played the guitar , and bass on that song, I will try to look it up on TH-cam and check that out , thanks for the tip. ! 👍
@@Summersblues1 this is from an interview called Steve Lukather's most shocking studio sessions. The actual video interview was more interesting
What a beauty quality of record, it looks like from today!
Look how happy Jeff P was when playing. Little did we know that this was gonna be his final live performance. Jeff P was a guy that always lived life to the full.
Toto is one of my all time the most favorite band. Especially Mr. Lukather. He is brilliant musician.
memang ToTo is the best lh pokok ny
Alwan Rosyidi One of the greatest EVER
He should give it to his guitarist instead greedy but briliant music
Totalmente de acuerdo 🎸👏
Tenane pak bro..
This song always keep me calm
Still watching 2024, its been 32 years but still love this song.
At this concert the Band is in perfect interaction. I can so really feel how they all love the Song, especially Steve seems to be so endulged. Jeff and Mike are tight as ever. TOTO you are the Masters!!!
Toto was probably the best band of the 80-s-90-s, but the 70's still had the best music of all time. I do love Toto. Steve Lukathier is still one of the premier guitarists
Not just simple music….it’s magic that acrosses the time ❤️
Listen to the 35th Anniversary the whole concert live
Guitar + lyrics + vocals = passion. That bass guitar though! Love the art on the Fahrenheit album. ❤❤❤
Damn! That is one of the most heartfelt guitar solos. You can just feel the pain on those notes. Wow!
i agree
Some people live their dreams
Some people close their eyes
Some people's destiny
Passes by
There are no guarantees
There are no alibis
That's how our love must be
Don't ask why
It takes some time
God knows how long
I know that I can forget you
As soon as my heart stops breakin'
Anticipating
As soon as forever is through
I'll be over you
Remembering times gone by
Promises we once made
What are the reasons why
Nothing stays the same
There were the nights holding you close
Someday I'll try to forget them
Someday I'll be over you
💯❤
Daniel ZB thank you for those lyrics I'm not a very good singer I did sing along with the song.ll
You have a great day
Thanks for the lyrics
Steve Lukather, ladies and gentleman...The BEST guitarist on planet Earth!
Sorry but the greatest gutarist will always be Randy Rhodes. May he rest in peace.
Yes and sexyto
@@josephclark7281 Sorry but George Harrison is the greatest
I think Brian May will be the best... FOR ME....
... and what about Divid Gilmour? ;)
Love the bass. These guys are/were studio musicians who came together to make a band that was flawless.
Great song & performance from the whole band. Luke is one of the premier guitarists of his generation. He could blow everyone away with flash, but he plays with nuance especially on the studio recordings. On stage he gets to let more out, but never at the expense of the song. Long live TOTO
Man o man !!!, this Song just vibrates the inner muscles of the Heart ...!! I'm glad I was alive back in the 80s , will never forget ....miss those years
Woooow !!!
Viva TOTO !!! 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Velho, essa música é Show. Fomos agraciados por ter vivido isso. Viva anos 80
@@aldemirferreira3342

I saw these guys at the Egg in Albany NY last week and I need to say this. They were so freaking GREAT! I truly mean it. I cried during this song because I’ve listened to it so many times and to finally see it live was such a blessing ❤
Still listening to this song. Literally older than me but this song’s so great and the band too
one of those timeless songs that. you can listen when you're chilling and make you feel nostalgic somehow
É o verdadeiro significado de música : a arte de expressar os sentimentos.
Perfeito Toto !!
Rip Jeff Porcaro, Mike Porcaro quanto talento. Descansem em paz.
Can't believe this is video and audio quality in 1991, amazing. All real, no sequencer.
