Yes Sir! And the amazing Bob James laying down the sounds on those keyboards. Real musicians and singers playing and singing real music. It doesn't get any better.
Everyone is a legend on the stage. Bob James (Keyboards), Lee Ritenour (Guitars), Nathan East (Bass), and Harvey Mason (Drums), Phillip Bailey (BG Vocal) Phil Perry (BG Vocals) and Chaka Khan (Lead Vocals)
Miss these years so much and this beautiful music. Such a welcomed change of pace from all the political garbage going on today. Give anything if I could go back to this time. 2020 is the worst year of my life with all that’s going on. I want things back like they used to be.

What I love is that all these powerhouse vocalists and no one is trying to outdo the other, just to contribute to the beauty of the song!! True genius!

I am a huge fan of Chaka Khan..Just my humble opinion is that she is the most talented voice I have ever heard. I saw her once in a small exclusive nightclub just outside Denver Colorado. To hear her live is an experience I will never forget. This video I had not seen and with who she had as backgound just blew me away! Goosebumps!
I had the honor of meeting her at the American Music Awards. She and her friends sat in front of us. Never forget that night ! Thank you Ms. Chaka Khan

@@anitadandridge2652, okay but how many of those greats are on the same stage as Nathan East, Lee Ritenour, Bob James, Phil Perry and Phillip Bailey? Chaka Khan is the most powerful female vocalist on the planet today. I continually see her out and active in the music world. And I believe that she's invited to all of those engagements. From what I see, she has her choice of what she wants to do. There are so many events that I've watched her perform at. Chaka Khan's entire catalog of musical performances and recordings are monumental! I've watched documentaries on the 'greats' like Tina Turner and Aretha Franklin when they were struggling to revive their careers. Chaka Khan's singing career was never on life support, even when she was struggling with cocaine addiction.
Out of 850,238 plays, at least 50,000 are from me. Masterpiece!!!! Chaka Khan reigns the vocal kingdom. Equally brilliant performance by Fourplay and the "Phils" :) Could listen to this for another 50k.
Keith A. Sanford I used to stare at album covers and watch their performances on tv wishing I could be her. She exudes an incredible combination of feminine earthiness and sensuality. That along with her ferocious yet seemingly effortless vocal ability really just makes her incomparable to anyone else.
I still remember her first collaboration with Quincy Jones on "Stuff Like That". With all the singers on that song, still you could tell she was singing on it.
My first concert was Chaka Khan when I was 13. Nathan East is probably the first bassist I ever knew by name from seeing him in the liner notes of my old Anita Baker cassettes. Two legends and two of my absolute favorites. Toss in Phillip and Phil as background singers and it's almost too good to be true.
@AM I Too Old To Learn Bass Funny: Nathan East introduces Chaka (and of course is playing bass), in that George Benson; Ray Charles; Chaka Khan Jam Session to Benson's version of This Masquerade. It's so cute, as Chaka forgets the lyrics, and Benson feeds them to her, while neither miss a beat!
I saw her back in the day at that time the spectrum in Philadelphia and the lord has truly blessed our sister Chaka Khan she still sounds the same her voice is so beautiful she just open her mouth omg just wonderful
Everyone and I mean everyone loves Chaka Khan , Philip Bailey is an American national treasure, But that damn Phil Perry! O M G ! That dude is definitely one of a kind ! I always trip on how ppl in the bands always look at him in amazement when he starts to sing . Every time he comes to perform in LA I have to go see . And I have never been disappointed 😃👏❤

Still remember a performance of Chaka together with the late George Duke on North sea Jazz in holland with jazzy songs and while that it was known it would be a jazzy performance (and it was really impressive) , a large part of the audience made it clear they expected "aint nobody"and Iám every woman etc. Seems the audience just doesn't want a artist to do their thing and be creative. "Panem et circenses" seems to be the case. Anyhow this clip with these bunch of extremely well talented artists seems to show the opposite.Amazing :-)
The Two Phil’s in the background!! Yep!! Still listening in 2024!!💯🔥🔥🔥🔥
