I think part of the reason PM Dawn are so unduly forgotten these days is that the ground shifted beneath their feet as they achieved prominence. They were almost like the last of the East Coast backpack rappers holding on when West Coast rap and gangsta rap started taking over. Quirky peace & love rap was as unwelcome in 1992 as a hair metal act was in that same post-Nirvana age. It's a shame that they don't seem to get their due these days, and that they're almost entirely known for "Set Adrift" when they have lots of material as good or better.
