- Of the many guest we get to meet in Honkai Star Rail's Penacony, perhaps none are more mysterious than the memokeeper of the remembrance, Black Swan. From one moment to another, Black swan appears as an ally and just as quickly she betrays us. While you might think her motivations are beyond speculation, Black Swan's past actually tells us abit about her motivations but also explains just how one is able to become a memokeeper. So in this video we are going to explore black swan's origin story and see if there is any clues to what she might be doing in penacony
Some part of this video comes from the actual lore while others may be speculation on my part as we currently do not know the full story. As such take it with a grain of salt as the point of this video is just a deeper dive into Honkai Star Rail lore.

With her backstory, we also learn that her world has at least some church influence, since there was some high priest role. This would explain all the religious looking influences on her design like her ult and her head thing. I do think she can be completely trusted since her motivations to collect our memories now and in the the future require the express crew to be alive, not to mention she is genuinely providing us with help and is willinf to go to "war" with adventurine if he tries to hurt us
I dont think she will go out of her way to 'eliminate' us or do harm to us or anything precisely because she is only concerned with collecting memories. Theres still the possibility of betrayal given memories are her first and foremost concern but i doubt she would ever do it in a way that would cause the MC to die off or something as that might deprive her of future stuff
Of course i will trust her without question….i mean have you seen her? 😂 tbh i’ve never seen a more attractive character model design…
Imagine a memokeeper of Remembrance and a -possible- emanator of Finality. The past and future all in the dreamscape. Wouldn't be surprised if Acheron is directly after Black Swan in the gacha.
Archon isn't an emanator of finality she an emanator of an different path hint it in the pioneer diver of dead water

Oooo past and future, thats an interesting way to look at both these characters, personally cant wait for acheron banner to be out, have to resist summoning for sparkle though
black swan made a huge impression on me from the firsy myriad celestia trailer she feels like the one character thats waiting for you at the very end of the game
i hope she will be that important and that powerful
Definitely, I feel shes like the narrator of the story were seeing because we're just seeing a retelling of the story. Everything has ended already and its just a memory we are playing through
I feel like what's told of her backstory here isn't really enough. It's like the part with how we get her name. What's told doesn't match up with its significance. Just like how what's told about her now doesn't quite reach the level of the Black Swan that first spoke in the first Myriad Celestia. Her character there changed the moment Xipe's turn came up. Whatever Black Swan is up to, she probably hasn't shown her real cards.
i hope she will be very important to the lore. I mean they showed her in 3 trailers. I also hope that she is powerful maybe even somewhat of an emenator
It might be too early for anything significant about her to be revealed, im guessing when the story eventually focuses on the remembrance she might have a larger role to play. Right now she seems to just be focused on the memories of penacony and occasionally being the lorekeeper or narrator of the story we see so far

Well technically.. yes, the abandon their names and the nameless actually have names. To be honest i've never really looked at why theyre even called that.. Maybe I should look it up lol 😂

I used to do them for genshin, but they were hit or miss but I'm starting to find some really interesting characters in HSR so maybe ill restart that. Im hoping sparkle/hanabi has some interesting lore 😁

The factions of HSR rlly are unique and so distinct from one another and we can still tell so little about them… the garden is for sure one of the more puzzling ones bc why the hell are they keeping March in the dark about her past, they told us it’s for her own good but… i need the lore
Isnt that such a curious thing, for a group that says their main goal is to preserve information so that it never gets lost, whatever is going on with March must be so significant that they decided to obscure it entirely almost as though they are followers or mythus or are cremators

Yeah a lot of the videos need to be updated, but thats just the nature of these types of games they get updated as the story progresses

Its not explicitly mentioned that she is an emanator so im going to assume she isnt even if shes does seem to be strong enough to be one.
I dont think she will betray us in any significant way, she might change allegiances but not throw us under the bus entirely given all she really wants is the true memories of penacony. Im guessing that the more people there are trying to look for the secret or reveal it the better her chances are of getting it
Can't wait for the sparkel/hanabi the lore of the mask fools are too interesting + from her trailer if feels like she already dead
Of all the paths, elation is probably one im really curious about with how much of a wildcard they are. Really hoping for some juicy lore on hanabi 😁
