When she says "icy hot" my mind goes straight to the Icy Hot muscle lotion and the very distinct smell that goes along with lotions such as Icy Hot, like Tiger Balm. I was thinking that would be an odd flavor for ramen!
Actually part of the reason it might not seem as 'spicy' is because it's cold! When things are cold, the flavor is not as strong, mostly because you sort of numb your tastebuds a bit. It's like ice cream; the ice cream base, when at room temperature, is very, very, almost overly sweet, to make up for the fact that when it's frozen, the flavor isn't as strong. I imagine this is much the same concept.
I saw this at my local asian grocery store, Foody Mart, and I got lured in by the large "ICE TYPE" text on the packaging. My childish mind thought "hmm wow, maybe this gives a cool sensation when I breathe in? Like a mint?" and I was utterly defeated by this when I got home and started digging in. I'm traumatized. Never again. My tongue is going to stay numb for the next 10 years. As always, I appreciated Emmy's positivity and detailed review!! Surprised she can do this challenge without even at least panting heavily.
I was also drawn in by the packaging of the cute chicken and thought "oh its probably not that hot." I was wrong. This was the hottest thing I have ever eaten. It took me 3 hours to eat the whole thing. I CAN NOT BELIEVE how quickly and calmly she ate this!!
She probs grew up with spice in her blood because there is a lot of spice in asian cuisine. I can barely eat them myself and I was brought up on spice.
I will say this as a testament to how calming Emmy's voice is: I used to watch Bob Ross every night before bed, ran out of episodes though; now I watch Emmy.
I love how Emmy has never really sold herself out and she's so genuine and there's never clickbait with her videos so often now on TH-cam people will to anything to sneak in ads or promotions and Emmy just keeps an honest environment

U rest one in the gap between your thumb and pointer finger then squeeze it so it doesnt go anywhere then hold the other one like a pencil and move it. When first learning the best thing you can do is roll up the wrapper it comes in and use a rubber band to secure it in between the tops so when u squeeze them together they go back when released. They also dont fall apart
I love the Samyung fire noodles because the noodles are big and thick ( I don't really like thin noodles), they taste like chicken, but it still tastes really spicy. They also give off a beautiful orange (or red if you talk about the 2x noodles) colour. A lot of things go really well with these noodles in particular, too. You'll see asmr or mukbang videos that put in many things into the noodles, cheese is a popular one, as well as other greens and all of that! The fire noodles are definitely my favourite by a landslide.
So, this'll probably sound strange, but I love watching you work your chopsticks and slurp your noodles! I'm not so good with chopsticks, so I admire anyone who is!

The noodles are definitely different and I think the sauce is too, but I'd have to do a side-by-side comparison to confirm the latter.
