They were one of the first brands that realy emphasized natural and organic products. As penniless teenagers we really enjoyed their generosity with free samples and promo’s. I wouldn’t have any access to perfumes and beauty products if it wasn’t for Yves Rocher. The owner, Yves Rocher, was prominently featured in their catalogs. I am still very nostalgic about their old discontinued scents!
Hi from France Sebastian, I didn't know that Yves Rocher was not in the USA. The price for this range, "LA COLLECTION", in France, is 57 euros for 100 ml. But often 50% discounts on the price, so 28,50 euros. I have "Nouveau Genre", and it's unisexe for me and it reminds me "Encens Fève Tonka" from Fragonard. This new line will replace "SECRETS D'ESSENCES" about to be discontinued. "Rose Oud" (perfumer = Annick Ménardo) seems to be similar to "Feminite du Bois" from Shiseido. From "SECRETS D'ESSENCES" I like "Accord Chic" (perfumers = Olivier Cresp, Marie Salamagne). Anna Stesia is right : Yves Rocher used to have great fragrances such as "Ispahan", "Venise" or "Venice", "En Avril Un Soir", "Cléa"... Thanks for your reviews very informative and diversified.
There's always a "recommended price" and then a "discounted" price when you look at Yves Rocher products and after years of shopping there, I can assure you the discounted price is actually what you'll pay because they always have some kind of discount going on, to the point where I wonder if the "recommended" price is only there for decoration or to entice people into buying 😂 88€ for one Yves Rocher perfume sounds... unheard of to me😭😭
Agree. For a package from this line containing 100 ml edp, 10 ml atomiser, and 30 ml hand cream retails for 35 euros, you can get as low as 28 on discount. 88 for a bottle is clearly preposterous for this brand
Yves Rocher has traditionally used excellent perfumers for their scents. The packaging is simple but many of them are quite good . The Secrets d’Essences line was very nice - two years ago I picked up Rose Oud and Accord Chic in Paris and love them both. I almost bought one of these, but I’m trying to stay on my no buy so even at the price I decided to skip. I think maybe they used to have stores in the US but not for quite some time.

Yves Rocher is available in many European countries. I really enjoy their fragrances. They are simple compositions yet so nice. I ordered plein soleil and Sable fauve yesterday as I love gourmand and oriental kind of scents, I fell in love with them when smelling in store. If you want to check the fragrance notes they do list them on the website.
Yves Rocher is available in Canada so if you get a chance to visit your chill neighbours to the north (it is cold today), you might find a Yves Rocher store..... I have a bottle of Cuir de Nuit and it's smells decadent vanilla. It is really wonderful. The problem is the sillage doesn't reach far (more of a skin scent) and the scent is gone in less than an hour. Now I want to try Nouveau Genre.

Thank you for making this video. I have spent what I consider an exorbitant amount of money on fragrances that were compelling enough, but I believe that end of the day, these types of fragrances are few and far between. On the other hand, there have been "drugstore" fragrances that I have discovered in Italy (years ago) that I believed were above and beyond the celebrated fragrances of the day. Ultimately, I do not believe that the price point necessarily expresses how extraordinary a fragrance is: For me, the proof is in the pudding. Mille grazie.
Interesting new scents! We have several stores here in Manila but I have yet to try this new EDP line. They haven't yet released these here, I think. Do they tend to be linear when you wear 'em or does the EDP-ness lend a bit of complexity?
Cuir Vetiver was always a winner for me, but I haven't really sampled much from the brand. Their ingredient quality frequently reminded me of scents from Zara. Good to hear they've stepped up their game.
Just bought all three plus a couple more. The whole collection is 50% off. This is actually quite a great company. No animal testing. Natural ingredients.

French here, I can confirm that you paid the correct price, Yves Rocher in France has a lot of promotions going on, in fact I can't remember a promotion-less day. It's basically that chain where everyone buys their beauty products because it's cheap, good quality, and you can find shops everywhere. Current promotion on that line is reduced priced for the Gift Sets which contain a 100ml bottle, 10ml travel spray and hand cream for 39.95€, which is a pretty good deal.

Cuir de nuit smells like amor amor by Cacharel, sable fauve a little like la vie est belle by Lancôme , nouveau genre, I’m not sure but these are gorgeous fragrances.

Nouveau Genre shell be like Neonatura Cocoon from Yves Rocher, which is unfortunality discontinued :(...but really really it is not. It is near but I really miss the softness and amazing combination of all the ingrediants and great performance of course. Hello, Sebastian! Such a nice video! We have many Yves Rocher shops in Romania, in fact I recently smelled Cuir de Nuit. Regarding the name, maybe they thought of something like an envelope of the night..which doesn't have to be leather, but something velvety and dark, like chocolate. This was my opinion when I smelled it. Apparently they didn't bring the other two you mentioned to Romania, maybe next year they will. Cuir de Nuit is on my wishlist for december, anyway.. I also have Comme une Evidence, made by Annick Menardo, which is still in production.
I bought Cuir de Nuit, but I really don’t like it. I expected a warm and gourmand like scent, with the vanilla and cacao. However I get a sour and old fashion kind of scent. It’s really bad. It reminds me off the perfumes my grandmother had in her bathroom. I don’t not get the vanilla or cacao. Maybe a bit of pepper, but that’s it.
I wouldn't give Yves Rocher the time of day if you didn't mention them; they have stores in the Middle East and their stores come across as cheap versions of The Body Shop - not exactly a place to buy quality fragrances. But, thanks to you, I'll definitely try Nouveau Genre. Will send you the bill if I don't like it.

Noveau Genre is so damn good! Grabbed two bottles today thanks to a 50% off sale here in France. It’s surprisingly well done!

I tested cuir and contrary to you i could smell some suede leather after a while, a tiny bit but it was there
