  • Yeti Rambler One Gallon Jug 4K Video Review! MASSIVE! Super durable and keeps your stuff hot or cold for days or even weeks! Not cheap but worth every penny especially if you live in a hot weather area as I do. This thing is so huge they even have a mount you can buy for it but I had already spent enough!

    To keep my Yeti Rambler 1 gallon jug riding secure inside my construction truck cab , I purchased the Rambler Jug Mount and mounted it to a base board measuring 12 square inches. It did the trick and now rides secure on my center floorboard. I can't say enough about the compensating aspects of the Yeti 1 gallon jug Rambler. Yes it is expensive, but it is tough as nails and able to take a regular beating without compromising it's insulating integrity. I have no regrets on my Yeti purchases.

    Was tired of carrying around 2 Yeti liter containers and not having enough water at work so i just ordered one of these. Also easier to keep track of my daily water intake which is 4 liters. Thanks for the video!

    The gasket is massive! i don't expect it to wear out in a short amount of time. I will expect it to last as long as the jug as it spends its time inside the jug protected. I got mine today and it is over engineered for sure! I only buy durable items for my camping as I don't want to buy garbage over and over again! Very expensive but this will be your only water jug that you will ever have to buy again. :) thank you for sharing.

    Looks great! My only problem (as with all bottles) is how the main cap screws on the inside of the bottle which means you are carrying a device that could have been filled with more water but you can as screwing the cap when all the way full would mean you will spill your drink.

  • @AsTheWheelsTurn
    @AsTheWheelsTurn 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    can you drink directly from it pretty easily or is the opening more for pouring? I want to buy the one gallon but for me I need to be able to just pick it up and swig right out of the thing,the opening looks big enough that youd have ice trying to get out ,didn't look like there was anything to stop ice coming and hitting you in the teeth if you turn that sucker up to drink out of it.

    • @TXetc
      @TXetc  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I drink water straight from it. I use larger ice cubes than the drinking hole plus they stay frozen for days in this thing. Sometimes I'll freeze water in a big cup the night before and use it as 1 giant ice cube in the morning. I recommend the 1 gallon over the half gallon, much better value for like $30 more. If you pick up one locally at Academy or DSG just keep the receipt and return it if you don't like it.

    • @AsTheWheelsTurn
      @AsTheWheelsTurn 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thanks for the response. I will have to order mine online. for some reason noone ANYWHERE around here has them in stock, seems like every store ordered like two of them and sold out then never ordered more.ev en big box stores like bass pro ,sportsmans ,cabellas ect, noone has them anymore. but judging by your review I think its safe to go ahead with it,looks like exactly what I want. I agree a two gallon would be even BETTER.

    • @TXetc
      @TXetc  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      2 gallon would be perfect for me, hopefully around Shot Show 2018 or so they will come out with one. If you do end up getting one locally try to price match it down a little bit. Not cheap but worth it!

      I found one at REI! totally absurd that I drove 30+ miles for a water jug but when I want to impulse buy something I need to have it in my HAND right then lol. it was $129plus tax but I get 10% back for buying from the co-op so I justified the price that way. Tested it, still had about a dozen half melted pieces of ice at 96hrs, compared to a $10-15 igloo that had the same amount of ice at 10hrs. Obviously its expensive but itd be worth it if it wasnt for the one flaw with this product, which is the rubber ring seal on the lid, it comes loose and gets stretched and doesnt fit back in its groove perfectly, compromising the lid, making it leak, not seal temperature quite as good(still good though) and gets unevenly wedged when the lid is screwed on making it very hard to unscrew the lid because of all the friction from the rubber ring seal that no longer fits in its groove the way it should, if they found a solution to this problem it would be 5/5 stars and worth the price, but its a 4/5 and slighly disappointing, though still out performs any other jug i know of. Otherwise feels high qualitly and solid, a little worried about the magnet base for the cap being around my phone.
    Edit/Addition: Also worried about it getting stolen(because ppl like to steal expensive yeti products, the ice chests get stolen all the time, youd be suprised) so i dont use it if im in public and wont be around it keeping my eyes on it, whereas i have no problem leaving my cheap $10-$20 plastic jugs lying around. I only use the yeti in public when i can keep it around me and keep my eyes on it and i use it at home all the time.

    • @TXetc
      @TXetc  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The big O-Ring that attaches the lid to the metal or the smaller drinking cap O-Ring? I can make the smaller one pop out if I really try. No issues with the bigger one. You have to be careful not to torque the lid too tightly on items like these with O-Rings, that's for any product really. I always keep a watchful eye on mine too, not cheap but well worth the money!

    • @judaychop
      @judaychop 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      MT: Gear/Man Stuff/Nature/Etc the big one between and the metal on mine got squeezed loose cause i screwed it on too tight once, but still, there should be a better seal than that. Ive had no issues the seal in the cap yet but ive noticed it and forseen the possible drawback there.
